MasukALLYS POV
"You hear that, Mariel? It won't be long before you go back to normal, daughter. Once you fully heal all of your wounds, I will immediately have you undergo plastic surgery. To bring your beautiful face back. I know you want that, my dear. Please fight this one. I know you can do it. You are not my daughter for nothing." I suddenly felt nervous at what she said. My mind was almost restless. I wanted to be happy because finally my condition would be okay, but fear still prevailed in me. Fear that they would know the truth that I am not their daughter. Even though I couldn't talk to them, I felt comfortable with them. But I'm not their daughter. What will they do when they find out that I'm not Mariel? I want to admit the truth to her. I want to say that I'm not Mariel. That I am not their daughter, and I don't know her daughter either. But not a single word comes out of my mouth. I tried to open my eyes, and for the first time, I did! Even with only a small opening in my eyes, I could see the light around me again. Although blurry, it was slowly becoming clearer in my vision. And when I looked to my side, I saw a very beautiful woman in the distance. She is so beautiful that even though she is old, you can still see her beauty on her face. I wanted to be amazed by her because she looked like an angel to my eyes. Her eyes are sad. While she gently strokes my hands as if they would break at any moment if she was not careful. "Hmmm..." That's all that came out of my mouth when I tried to speak. A small moan that I couldn't understand. "Oh my god! OH MY GOD! DOC! MY DAUGHTER'S AWAKE NOW! DOC!" She shouted frantically while pressing something on the side of my head. After a few moments, the door opened, and two doctors and four nurses entered. They quickly attended to me and observed me. One was shining a light in my eyes while one doctor was looking at something somewhere. "Is she okay, Doc? Tell me, my daughter is okay, right? She's fine now." The woman while anxiously watching what the doctors were doing to me. "Okay, Miss Mariel, can you please give me a blink of an eye if you hear me," said one doctor to me. I immediately followed his orders. "Yeah that's great Miss Mariel. Now can you please move your fingers just a little bit." I followed that too. "Awesome. She's ready for the operation, Mrs. Cuevas," he said and turned to look at the very beautiful woman. I was surprised to see her cry. The door opened again, and a strong man with some age also entered. But the handsome features of this man are still very evident. "Rosellena," he uttered and approached the woman who had been crying. "She's fine now, Rod. Our unica hija is fine now." He turned to the doctor who looked at me. "What happened? Doc, how's my daughter case?" asked the man who had just arrived. "As you can see, she's fighting for her recovery. Her wounds are slowly healing now because of the medications. She's already awakened." The doctor immediately answered, and I even saw him adjust the glasses he was wearing. "For now, she can see you both, but we cannot yet talk to her," added the doctor. "That's enough for us, as long as she can feel our love and moral support, it's enough for us," said the gentleman and looked at me. "Mariel darling, I know you will survive this one," the woman said to me crying and held my bandaged hand. I only noticed now that my whole body was bandaged. Even my head, and only my eyes and nose were not. I want to answer her that I'm not her daughter. That I'm someone else. That they are mistaken in thinking that I am their daughter. But I can't do it. I can't get my words out. Instead, only a tear came out of my eyes. I didn't want this. I didn't want this to happen. All I wanted was to get away from my Tatay Arsing and have a simple life. But why is it like this? Until when will I suffer? I kept crying, and only my tears became the answer to the woman who was very worried now for me. Even though I knew those weren't for me, I felt love from a loving parent. If I had that, I wouldn't be in this situation. The child of these people is so lucky. She had a loving family. "Sshh..baby don't cry. We will do anything to make things back to normal. You are the only one who survived on that tragic accident. All of your companions inside the bus are dead. It was a miracle that you survived," she said to me while wiping away my tears. I cried even more at what I heard. God! Thank you for saving me from danger. "We identify you because of the bracelet that you are wearing, Mariel. God, thanks! That you're wearing that thing," she added as she kissed my hand. Her husband stroked the woman's back. Bracelet? That bracelet? So this is the family of the sarcastic and very beautiful woman I was with on the bus? I suddenly felt fear again. They flew me from Manila here to another country just to be treated because they thought I was their daughter. What am I going to do? What will happen to me when they find out that I'm not their daughter? I'm nervous about my situation now, and I also feel sorry for myself. And more than that, I also feel afraid of this family. What if they find out the truth? What will happen to me? (Fast forward) Several months have passed, and I just came from an operation. The doctors here in America are experts, and they said they can restore my face to its former state. So they subjected me to plastic surgery. I can also move my whole body now. I recovered quickly here. And today is the day to remove the bandage from my whole body after a month of operation. I am sitting on a stool chair now while the doctor who operated on me is in front of me now. He slowly removes the bandage from my body, and I can clearly see the excitement in the woman's eyes as she looks at me. After a few minutes of removing the bandage, I saw the woman cry. Her husband, Roderick, hugged her. The doctor gave me a mirror, so I slowly reached for it and slowly put it in front of my face. Fear and anxiety enveloped me again. I cried at what I saw. This is not it! This is not my face! This is the face of the woman who was next to me on the bus!( After Ten Years ) ALLYS POV I am here in the kitchen right now, busy putting icing on top of the cupcakes I baked. I was in the middle of adding sprinkles and chocolate shavings when I heard the loud, forceful sound of the double doors being thrown open in the living room. I immediately frowned. What was that about? I quickly took off my cellophane gloves and left what I was doing. “Please finish what I started, Rina,” I instructed one of the housemaids working with me here in the kitchen. I removed my apron and made my way toward our living room. Even before I got close enough, I could already hear raised voices. I saw Leo together with his best friend — Zackeriel and Bella’s eldest son, Zamiel. And based on what I was seeing right now, the two of them were arguing fiercely. “Don't turn your back on me, Mondragon!” Zamiel sneered and grabbed Leo’s arm tightly. Leo quickly yanked his arm away from him. “What the heck, Zamiel?! You’re making such a big deal out of this! Can’
ALLY'S POV "What are you doing here? Hmm?" He whispered in my ear, his voice sounding so sweet and full of affection. "Nothing. I'm just watching the sunset," I answered him, tilting my head back to rest against his chest. "It is so beautiful," he murmured, holding me even tighter, wrapping his arms securely around my waist. "Yes, it is. I love you, Leon. And I always will," I whispered softly, turning my face to look up at him. I found him staring at me intently, his eyes filled with so much love and adoration. I am so deeply, hopelessly in love with this man. "Mommy! Daddy! What are you two doing?" We both turned our heads at the same time when we heard our son calling us. He was looking up at us, standing on his tiptoes, holding a small red toy car in his hand. I smiled warmly and slowly stretched out my left hand toward him. "Come here, baby. We are watching the sunset," I invited baby Leo. He ran quickly toward me, and I immediately lifted him up and sat him comfortably
ALLY'S POV "LONG LIVE THE NEWLYWEDS!!!" Leon’s friends and all the household staff shouted joyfully, throwing handfuls of flower petals all over us. “Thank you,” I smiled warmly at everyone — Leon did the same, his hand never leaving mine. I glanced over at baby Leo, seated at the table with Kuya Zamrick. He was clapping his hands happily, a smudge of cake still smeared around his lips and on his cheeks. After we officially announced our wedding that same night, we became fully occupied with all the preparations. It took us almost a whole month to complete all the legal documents and arrangements — and we decided to hold Leo’s baptism right on the same day as our wedding. While everything was being organized, we also took the time to visit my stepfather, Tatay Arsing, back in Santa Monica. It turned out the place where I used to live wasn’t far at all from El Fuego; the ride only took about an hour. But we learned that Tatay Arsing had been imprisoned a long time ago, convicted o
ALLY’S POV “Goodness, hija! I really didn’t make a mistake choosing this dress. It fits you perfectly! I knew from the very start it would suit you beautifully,” the Señora said delightedly, looking me over with pride. “Thank you very much,” I answered shyly, glancing toward Leon, who stood quietly in the corner watching everything. I was startled when she suddenly clapped her hands together, as if a wonderful idea had just struck her. She turned smilingly toward Leon. “We will announce your upcoming wedding this evening — and set the exact date as well.” “W-WHAT?!” I stammered in shock, making her turn her gaze back to me. “Why, hija? You and Leon need to get married already — so that my second great-grandson can finally be baptized properly too,” she replied simply, making me blink rapidly in surprise. I looked over at Leon, who was now walking slowly toward me. When he finally reached my side, he immediately handed baby Leo over to the maid standing nearby. He slipped one ar
ALLY’S POV I am standing right now on the veranda of the mansion’s second floor, looking down at the people below busily arranging tables in the garden. Some are positioning round tables and chairs, while others are covering them with crisp white tablecloths. A few more are busy decorating and arranging ornaments all around the garden area. If the outside already looks this grand and magnificent, inside the great hall it is even more breathtaking. The whole place seems to shimmer in gold tones, and combined with their incredibly beautiful and expensive chandeliers, it looks like a lavish banquet hall made exclusively for the wealthy and noble. I still can’t believe what I’m seeing. Earlier, the Señora mentioned that just a simple gathering and dinner would be held tonight. But why do I feel like what is about to happen later is far more than just a simple meal? “Excuse me, Señorita. But it is time for you to get ready,” a maid approached me politely. “H-huh? Ahh… ehh… o-okay,” I
ALLY’S POV I accepted the hands extended to me by the other three men. “That’s enough pleasantries. Where is Lola?” Leon said, then held my hand again and pulled me inside through the tall double doors. When he pushed them open, I was stunned by their enormous grand hall. Hanging high above was a magnificent, sparkling chandelier made of fine crystals. Right in front of us stood a truly majestic staircase covered in soft red carpet. On both sides of the stairs were two porcelain statues shaped like lions standing guard, while the railing was draped in gold-colored fabric that waved beautifully like gentle waves. It looked exactly like the kind of grand ballroom I used to see only on television or in movies. I never imagined I would ever see something this magnificent in real life. From where I stood, I could clearly see what lay at the top of that impressive staircase. There were several elegant armchairs and sofas arranged like a living room area, while on the walls painted in r
ALLYS POV I quickly looked away from Leon. Even if he didn't say it, I already knew deep in my heart that I truly belonged to him. His name was carved into my very being. He alone has the right to me because ever since I loved him, I have given everything I have to him. He is the only person who

ALLYS POV "I'm sorry," I stammered softly, lowering my head. I felt his intense gaze on me, making me close my eyes tightly. "Sorry I wasn't able to keep my promise. The food I was supposed to bring for your lunch was all thrown on the floor earlier because—" I was shocked when he suddenly pull
ALLYS POV "By the way, what is the name of the person you are visiting, Ma'am?" the guard asked again. I bit my lip. Why does it feel like they really don't want to let me inside this building? "L-Leon," I said softly, which made him laugh. "Oh my! Ma'am, there is no employee working here named
