Kole went directly to his office, upon arriving he was greeted by his lady assistant estimated to be in her late twenties.
There was only three staff in his office, he likes to keep his circle small especially since all of the patient's cases were confidential.
"Hey! you're twenty minutes late today. That's rare." his lady assistant commented.
Kole never did once come late to the office. It was his golden rule A TRUE AND COMPASSIONATE PERSON WAKES UP EARLY WITH THE WILL TO ALLEVIATE PEOPLE'S SUFFERING.
He smiled at his assistant and responded jokingly, "Spare this old man a time to date."
"Date? who is the lucky one?" Yara asks with bulging eyes, she looked at Kole with so many questions in her head. Since when did Dr. Kole have an interest to date?
The doctor who was devoting his life to healing people, who do not have any interest in blind dates and night out's, friends that can be counted on fingers was saying that he's been on a date?
What sorcery was this? She must know the details. She must!
"Tsk! It's a joke, okay? I came from a patient's house." Kole immediately cleared the misunderstanding.
"Since when did you do house visits?" Yara throws her question again.
This was getting fun. Kole was now doing a house visit? What made this man change in twenty-four hours? Definitely need to investigate, women's instinct was never wrong.
Kole said before, it's not good to do house visits, although other doctors were doing it, he won't. The reasons were, he doesn't want to create rumors for the house owner, and seeing a psychologist visiting someone's house was such a taboo for him.
Another reason was, he once visited a patient in their house and he was chased out with a knife because the patient thought he was a burglar. That was one hell of an experience.
Lastly, patients need to see the outside world and one way for them to see it was to get out of their houses. A few minute's rides to the office will give the patients time to see life, at least that's what he thought.
But why did he change all of a sudden, Yara was dumbfounded but she will surely know the reason, after all, she's a psychologist.
Kole enters his office and wears his white coat. Sitting in his big rotating chair, he glanced at a picture frame on the left side of his table and uttered, "I'll do better today."
"I'm ready to take patients, call the first one," he called out to Yara who was still deep in her thought about the shocking changes in Dr. Kole.
Kole's day was spent talking to patients one after another. Patients who do not respond, patients who cried from start to end of the session, and patients who keep on asking for free coffee.
If he encounters patients with severe psychological disorders he will immediately refer them to a psychiatrist. So far, it's only a few. Most of them were depression, anger management issues, anxiousness, and speech problems.
"That was the last patient, right?" Kole asks.
He was stretching his body, he's been sitting for six hours, his joints wear aching and his back was sore.
"Yes! Where should we eat?"
Since all of the staff were single, they always eat outside together except for important days. "I want deep-fried pork. Let's eat in the usual place," he said brimming.
Suddenly a figure flashed in his mind, a thin and sad figure of a one hundred eighty-one-meter man. With his condition, did he take his dinner? The house condition is bad for him, is he breathing fresh air?
Before he left, he asks Sky what food he wanted to eat.
~~~
"Sky, what do you want to eat?"
Sky stared at him, blink twice, and pointed at the air-tight box, "I have bread."
"Oh! aside from the bread, is there anything you want to eat?" Kole repeats his question.
"Nothing," he answered lazily.
"Are you only eating bread?" Kole was astonished. How could he survive with just bread?
Was this why he was this thin? How he remains alive by just bread alone was already a miracle.
"That won't do. I'll bring proper food next time. Okay?"
~~~
"Yara, I won't be eating with the rest I have an urgent thing to do."
Taking off his coat, he glanced at the picture frame and said, "I'll do better." Then he stormed outside.
On the other side, Sky was all alone and lost in his own world again. "How did the doctor's visit go, baby?" Kai asks lying down on the bed.
Sky was beside him, facing the ceiling. After Kole left he went to lie in the bed and he's been lying for six hours straight now. Kai only appeared at this time.
"He asks for water and buries the rat," Sky replied.
He turned to face Kai and embraced him, placing his head near Kai's chest.
"The doctor did that?" Kai laugh so loud, he could not believe that Sky made the doctor bury the rat and drink the water, he drinks the water? Kai pondered on this.
"He saw the dead rat, I felt awkward and ashamed that the house is..."
"Baby, we can clean the house if you want."
Sky felt awkward and ashamed, that was the first time he said that after ten years. Before it was always about Kai, Kai, and Kai but Sky felt awkward because of another person. Awkward in a positive way.
"Really? Shall we clean now?" Sky smiles at him.
"Wow! the enthusiasm. Sure. Let's go."
What happened during the doctor's visit? Why did Sky... Kai could only wonder, besides he was only living in Sky's illusion, his thoughts, his words, and his action all belongs to Sky's illusion of him. Wasn't it good? The minute changes were refreshing to see but he's afraid that these changes will soon be the reason for his total farewell.
They were preparing to clean, however, what Sky can see now was a neat and clean house. So different from the gloomy and soiled condition that the doctor saw.
"How can I clean if this is what I see, baby?" Sky murmured.
Suddenly, the house changed back to its original state, and Kai disappeared.
"Sky!" a deep voice screamed from the outside.
Who will look for him at this hour of the night? But the voice was familiar to him, only one person comes to mind. He opened the door and sees the all-grinning man in red holding a lot of plastics with food.
"Do- Doctor?"

Time pass by quickly and it was already their ten years wedding anniversary. Kole had been thinking of a better anniversary gift this time, something that could topple the other gifts that he had given his husband. He spent the entire month thinking about it but none crossed his mind. He was roaming around the mall, entering all stores until he bumped into a familiar face, "Kai?!" his twin brother. "Oh. What are you doing here?" said Kai without much surprise. "Looking for a gift," he replied. Kole was already comfortable mentioning Sky whenever he was with Kai. His brother had stopped his therapy session with him five years ago when the General miraculously accepts his pursuit. From then on, Kai was well behaved than ever. "What a coincidence, me too. It's my honey's birthday next week," In truth, Kai also spent a lot of time thinking of what gift to give. At the same time, he was planning to propose to his General on his birthday. "Why not buy a ring if you want to propose?
It took Kai a week to recover and Erviz stayed with him all these days without neglecting his duty. It could be said that he was a stay-in Nanny for Kai, a friend, a confidant, and someone Kai persistently flirts with. Erviz was so used to it that it seems like a lullaby to him. Five years passed and Kai was still chasing Erviz, never getting a chance to bed the man. Up to this day, Erviz listened to Kai whenever the other needed it. Kai consistently pursues him, giving him flowers, and gifts and picking him up at work. If General Erviz Mason was feared by all in the department before now, nobody even dared to talk behind his back. They were more afraid of Kai's deathly gaze than the General's quick fist! "Yo! Honey," it was already midnight but Kai still picks up Erviz in his work not minding his own fatigue. "Hungry? I bought you a congee," inside the car was an insulated box where the said congee was kept to stay warm. "En," he responded. He was exhausted from today's meeting.
It was seven in the morning when Erviz woke up in the same position they were in when they slept only that Kai was embracing him now and he was wrapped in his arms. Slowly, he lifted Kai's arm and slip out making the man groan, "Shh, sleep." He went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Today, he needed to go to the base to report but what will he report? That he had slept in the same bed with the enemy? He toasted some bread, fry an egg and reheat the coffee that was left unattended. Thirty minutes later, Kai came out of the room with drowsy eyes and like a magnet, sticking close to Erviz landing a kiss on his lips, "Morning, wifey." His body slumped on the General with his hands on the waist. "For the nth time, I'm not your wife," he said while busy preparing the food on the table. "En, understood... wifey." They had breakfast and Erviz had taken a bath after some struggle to keep Kai outside the bathroom. When he came out, Kai was nowhere to be found except for a simple note l
He lost hope to convince Kai that he was not gay, that he was not into men and will never have sex with men. But the stubborn man was pestering him and kissing him as he pleases. He had thought of ways to attack Kai but he knew he will be killed in the end with how many men were hiding outside. Yes. Hiding. It will be inconvenient for them to surround the house visible to all the neighbors so the men were dispersed in the shadow. "God! You're so... sigh, Kai, what is it that you really want?" Kai stopped what he was doing and for a minute there was silence between them. He felt the hidden emotion in Kai's silence, he might be wrong but he saw sadness in those eyes, fear, and hatred. Why was he sad? Why was he afraid? Who does he hate? These were questions that he wanted to ask but felt that it was not right after all. He was an outsider and was an enemy even. Will he be swayed if he knew this man's hidden thoughts and real self? He does not know. He would never know. Kai step bac
It was already ten minutes since the cars stopped in the middle of the road. All men had their heads bowed down for the same amount of time waiting for Erviz to say that he will reconsider. Whoever their boss has a liking to, they consider them instant family. If the boss said he will kill himself because the lady boss does not want to have sex with him then it was solid proof that their boss was head over heels for Erviz. Inside the car was silent with Kai still holding him by the waist. Erviz had no plan to retaliate, after all, this is the yakuza surrounding him. Dying because of a sex-deprived yakuza boss was something he wanted to avoid. "... can't you tell your men to stop bowing?" he whispered making sure only Kai heard it. Kai responded with a bite on his forefinger and licked it after, "I can't. I'm using them to pressure you," he admitted shamelessly. He does not know what goes on through the mind of this man and he can shamelessly and confidently admit that he was usin
It was not even an hour passed that Erviz punched him for the kiss and now he was asking for sex. Erviz scowled hearing what he said, "Are you pent up? Is sex all you have in that mind of yours?"But Kai answered him through his action. His hand slipped down until it reaches the slit and went to touch his butt. His lips kissed Erviz's neck leaving marks in each part his lips landed. "Have sex with me, hmm? You want me to beg you, sexy?"It was only with Erviz that he begged, it was his way of chasing that warmth that he felt and was feeling now. He was aware of his action; he was aware of his stupid move. He was not acting like a leader of the group right now but as Kai himself. Kai had this fear in his heart for the first time again after losing his brother and Sky, he was afraid that if he let go... he will never feel this warmth again. "Sexy, stay with me." The hand that reaches in between the cheeks of Erviz's butt was suddenly pinched to stop, "I'm not a whore," he said. "I'
