Jessica POV

My heart was racing as we walked into the event hall. This was a sharing of information, and Cole promised me there was nothing unusual to bring everyone together. They wanted to introduce Everly to the pack and then would introduce me as the Beta Female.

As we gathered at the front of the room, pack members started to fill the hall. I noticed some scowls in my direction and my heart sank a little. Some were already making up their mind

maybe Everly can heal her mark or help so Cole can remark her. I think Christine's friends are going to be trouble they need to get rid of them.

  • Rescuing the Beta's Mate   Chapter 78 - Upset

Jessica POV I had to admit I was nervous as we waited for Elder Susan to clear the gates. I knew this was a big deal and I would need to be focused on whatever she did to train me. I needed to enhance my skills so I could be prepared for whatever was to come. I needed to be prepared to protect the Full Moon Pack. I would be lying if I did not admit that Cole had surprised me with the potential outcome. But I had been honest when I said I would not accept less than all of us surviving. We had been through a lot already and we deserved our happy endings. “She is here,” Carson stated as he and Marly stood to go and welcome Elder Susan to the pack. I had no idea what to expect but when she walked through the door of the conference room, I was shocked. She was a younger woman, dressed to kill, with a smile that was welcoming to all. She laughed as she entered the room and saw my expression. “Not w

  • Rescuing the Beta's Mate   Chapter 77 - Confidence

Cole POV “That is bullshit,” I replied as I turned to walk away. “I want you to be prepared,” Carson said but I whipped around to look at him. “Stories are written to be rewritten. I have no doubt that we will all survive whatever is coming, and live to tell our grandchildren about it,” I spit out. “I hope you are right,” Carson responded, not believing my words. “History will be rewritten,” I stated, before turning and exiting his office. I would not hear any more about prophecies and death. We would survive and we would raise our pups. End of story. “Cole - are you okay?” I heard Jessica ask through our mind-link. She was already in tune with my feelings through our bond. “I am fine Jess; just a pack issue,” I responded, hoping I assured her I was fine. I had no intention of sharing what I had just learned from Carson. I would not have her worry unnecessarily. I sat down at my desk and

  • Rescuing the Beta's Mate   Chapter 76 - Findings

Cole POV After grabbing a quick bite to eat, Jessica and I were sitting in Carson’s office within the hour. He had Marly and Everly there, and they were staring dreamily at their little creation. Marly smiled as we entered, “Oh my Goddess … You marked one another!” she exclaimed. Jessica was beaming, as Marly came over to look at Jessica’s mark. “That is stunning; is that the Moon Goddess?” Marly asked. I nodded, “Yes, it is reflective of Jessica being a white wolf,” I shared. “So how did this all happen? I thought Elder Joseph had said not to do it?” she questioned she took a seat on the couch in Carson’s office. “We wondered if the information Elder Joseph had been given was accurate, so Carson suggested we go to the library to see what we could find out. Turns out we only had seven days to remark one another, or we would have lost our bond. Today was the seventh day,” I advised them. Marl

  • Rescuing the Beta's Mate   Chapter 75 - Designs

Cole POV I woke with sparks coursing through my body. Jessica was wrapped around me, and I could not imagine what else I would have wanted to wake up to. My arm was wrapped around her waist, my hand on her perfect ass. I felt Jessica starting to wake up as her arm tightened around my stomach. “Good morning, mate,” I murmured as she turned her head up to look at me. She was beaming up at me, “Good morning, mate,” she replied. I leaned down to capture her lips in a lingering kiss. Slow, exploratory … enjoying the strength of our bond. I released her lips, as she moaned her discontent. “Aren’t you tired, baby?” I teased. “I am definitely feeling you between my legs this morning,” she responded. I leaned back, “Are you okay?” I asked, concerned we had been a little too ambitious last night. “It feels delicious,” she replied with a smile. I kissed the top of her head, “You feel magical in my ar

  • Rescuing the Beta's Mate   Chapter 74 - Second Marking

Jessica POV Cole slowly released me, putting my feet on the ground before capturing my lips in a fierce kiss. Our tongues were dueling as Cole lifted me so I could wrap my legs around his waist. He held me against the door, simply sliding his tongue across mine. He tasted delicious. There was always a mint taste to my man – it was intoxicating. I felt his hand slide up my body, until it reached my breast. He rubbed and massaged, my breast fitting perfectly in his hand. I moaned as he continued to play with me, my bud tightening at the attention. My hands went to his chest, touching him all over. He was built, and I loved every ridge of muscle my hands touched, I pulled on his t-shirt until I released his lips and pulled the t-shirt over his head. I was panting with excitement, as he kissed his way to my marking spot. “Right here is where I will mark you when my cock is deep inside of you,” h

  • Rescuing the Beta's Mate   Chapter 73 - Traditions

Jessica POV I stand there in complete shock. I did not know what had come over me, but the man was flung against the wall and a blade was sticking out of his chest. Where did the blade come from? How had I managed to toss him across the room by lifting my hand? I had so many questions. And nobody to provide answers. Cole. Where was Cole, I thought as I whipped around looking for him. He was moving to stand beside me, but I realized he was still trying to breathe properly. I moved to him, helping him stand. He pulled me into his arms tightly, “What the hell was that, Jess?” he asked. I shook my head, “I have no idea. One minute he was choking you and the next he was across the room,” I stated. Cole looked down at me, “That was incredible,” he murmured as he held onto me. Hearing some at the door, I quickly turned around and prepared for another attack. My hands were raised and I was ready

Jessica POV I had been in the dungeons for almost a week. I had little food, but no more abuse. I had been given a change of clothes, so I was a bit warmer, but no blanket. Having to listen to the rogues being abused during my stay had been enough of a punishment.
