CXVII. The Last Proposal

The Roar had been outside the Rigiddin castle for many days straight.

The one they branded as the strongest man in Khenealm looked like a lost puppy begging to be taken in. Whether it rained or not, Ryder stood his ground, unwilling to move until he would get the audience that he wanted. The chief, however, had other plans in mind. He could have gracely welcomed him but he ordered Jin not to let him enter without his approval.

''Let's see how strong his will is now. I want to see the leader of Aegis and not the useless man that broke my sister's heart.''

The chief was not supposed to let his emotions take over but considering the series of events that happened to Raeya, Jin couldn't blame him. Chief Raius wasn't really blaming Ryder for Raeya's disappearance. Everyone knew that it was Hearth's fault and doing but maybe the chief just wanted to test Ryder.
