After what felt like forever, Erica woke up and rubbed her eyes. Her head was pounding and hurting her a lot. She had never experienced such an extreme and painful headache, the back of her head, the back of her neck, everything was hurting her. She tried to get up but she couldn’t, so she lay in her position and tried opening her eyes slowly, as she try to adjust her eyes to the bright light. She saw a silhouette of someone, “Father?” she asked but she didn’t have any response.
The person was looking at her, she knew that much, and her instincts told her that it was not her father either, but she didn’t wanted to believe that. “Father? What is wrong with me?” She asked again and received a low dog like growl in response. “Who is it?” Her eyes have opened but she only saw a bright light, she couldn’t see anything around her just a bright light and silhouette of someone standing in front of her. “Who are you and what have you done to my vision?” she asked again, to say she was scared would be an understatement, she was terrified to death. She didn’t receive an answer again either. At this point she was angry also, and being scared along with angry is never a good combination of emotions.
“Who are you? Why won’t you answer me!” She asked angrily this time and in a very loud voice, the other person roared loudly, and Erica was frozen in her spot. ‘That can’t be a person, or a human being,’ she thought to herself. “You first made my stag sick, then entered my territory, and who the hell do you think you are to question me?” The person definitely sounded male and a lot more human now. Maybe he had a dog or maybe a lion as a pet who initially roared at Erica. But sick stag, territory, she didn’t understood a word he was saying.
“I don’t know what you are talking about, I didn’t made any stag sick, and I don’t know that what territory you are talking about either,” she said as she bit her lip, an old habit she did unconsciously when she was tensed and frightened. “Don’t lie to me! You fed your filthy fruit to Erebus and now he is sick, and then came into my territory without my permission. You are not worthy of your vision at all, so I had it taken from you,” he said with pride lacing his voice.
It was all a lot for Erica to digest and take in, and then the realization hit her, she had fed the black stag an apple, ‘Is he talking about the black stag?’ “Are you by any chance, talking about the black stag? I am sorry if it is sick, it was never my intention to make it sick, I only fed him an apple and he only took one bite, she didn’t even ate it whole,” Erica tried explaining, she really was feeling guilty for making that stag sick and ill. There was silence for a few moments and then the other person said angrily, “why did you ride him?” Erica was too stunned by his question, “It offered me, and I found him very beautiful and strong so I couldn’t resist the temptation, please let me go, I have to go back to my father. He must be worried sick right now looking everywhere for me, please let me go,”
She didn’t know how to save herself from such a situation; she only knew that she wanted to go home. She covered her face with her hands as the tears of regret started pooling in her eyes if only she would have listened to her mother’s advice and never came out farther away in the woods. She thought to herself, and more and more tears started coming out of her eyes, and she had started sobbing and crying hysterically. When she opened her eyes, she saw her hands. Her vision was back, she immediately looked up and saw no one in the room with her, ‘she has been all alone, and talking to herself all this time?’ she thought.
Then her eyes searched for the door, the door was situated at the left corner of the room, Erica quickly got up and rushed towards the door, she tried opening it but it just wouldn’t budge. She tried several times and the realization hit her that it was locked; she had been locked in this room. “Please, please, let me out, I have to go back, please, anyone? Is someone out there? Please help me, please let me out,” She said as she was now scared as well as terrified.
She sat down by the door, still banging softly and crying. She curled her knees up to her chest and placed her head on her knees and cried her heart out. 'What the hell have I gotten myself into?' Erica thought and she thought about her father and how upset and worried he would be right now if she didn't returned home on time. She looked up and tried to find another way to escape the room. Her eyes fell on the drapes on the right side of the bed, 'Maybe there is a window, and I can escape from there,' she thought as she rushed by the window and tried moving the drapes, but they were so heavy and she couldn't possibly move them.
They were like heavy metal door, Erica tried for few seconds but all her efforts were in vain. She looked for some other way to exit the room and she saw another door by the left side of the bed, she rushed to open it, and it opened without any protest. As she opened the door it was dark inside, she looked for a source of light and found a candle, she picked up the candle by the side of bed and went back to look where that door leads to, and she was shocked.
She had entered a room full of dresses, shoes and jewellery. It was so much, and so beautiful. Erica never owned any dress, and only dress she had ever seen was her mother’s wedding gown. ‘I wonder who the lucky girl is.’ She thought to herself as she looked at everything. The room was so organized and clean and every dress was beautiful in its own way, with beautiful designing and beautiful, vibrant colors. The room was basically like a big closet and she was walking in this huge closet. The closet was far bigger than her own room back in her home. ‘Where am I?’ she again thought to herself. She was jolted back to reality when she felt a hot wax from the candle drip on her hand, she went in the room and placed the candle by the side table of the bed again and rubbed off the now dried wax off of her hand. Her mind was soon diverted by the place she was in, she touched the bed in which she was lying before and it was the most comfy thing she has ever touched, the blanket that had been
Erica stood behind the closed door with the vase up in the air and waited for the person to come in. She inched closer to the door and put her ear near to the door, as she heard footsteps approaching her, she quickly straightened up and she tightened her grip on the vase. The person opened the door and came inside, Erica without wasting any second lounged forward and with every ounce of force and energy in her body, she hit the person with the vase. The Vase broke into several pieces but the person was unaffected. He was still standing straight and he didn’t even budge.Erica looked at the person and inhaled sharply, she was surely dead now. The person turned around and Erica was shocked to her core. Her kidnapper had sharp pointy teeth, he had many hairs on his face with the exception of the beard, and his ears were long and pointy. He was very tall; Erica hardly reached up to his chest. He had long nails or they were more like claws, he had hair on his hands and fingers. His feet an
Erica woke up next morning to find the same two girls standing in the room again. Erica sat up and looked at them for a brief moment, “What is your guys’ purpose of working for that douche bag? He is a horrible person,” she said, her voice was still coarse and hoarse because of the grabbing of her throat. “What is his name anyway?” she asked in pure annoyance, “The sire’s name is King Dominic,” one of them answered and Erica laughed bitterly, “King? King? King of what? Arrogancy? Stupidity? Or wait King of Pride, that is it,” She said and chuckled. She then got out of the bed and yawned, “Where is the bathroom in this big ass room?” she asked the girls and they pointed towards the closet door.Erica looked at it in pure confusion for a second then moved towards it, she opened the door and it automatically lit up. She walked in and found another door at the end of the closet that she had not previously seen, she opened the door and was astonished by the most beautiful and big, clean an
Erica focused her attention to the soup again and tried enjoying it. She knew that he was looking at her continuously. As she started to getting irritated she started slurping loudly on her soup to irritate Dominic as well. He was quiet for few moments but after sometime he could not stand the sound of her slurping. He punched the table loudly; Erica flinched but showed no sign of being scared. She finished her soup and stood up to go out of the hall. As she reached the dining hall gate, a strong wind came from behind her and forced shut the gate with a loud bang.Erica felt a weird tingling feeling in her stomach, and the hair on the nape of her skin stood up with fear. She turned around to find Dominic standing a little too close to her. He sandwiched her in between the door and him. “I have told you very clearly, if you want to survive and get out of here, start acting like a prisoner.” He said through gritted teeth. Erica could feel her ear radiating heat because of all the anger.
Erica was pacing in the room, she had thought of every possibility to leave that palace but she couldn’t find a way out. She hated being so helpless and clueless. She was missing her father so much, and she regretted not listening to her mother as well. How did she hear her mother in the first place? Erica had a strong gut feeling that that palace was somehow connected to her mom, but she didn’t knew why, her father never talked much about her mother as well. As the time for dinner approached, seeing that stupid creature again filled her with anger. The same maids came into her room at invited her for dinner, “I am not hungry, please leave me alone.” Erica responded softly. She was sitting on the bed looking at face and facing away from them. She didn’t even turn around to answer them properly. “But-“ one them started to convince her but Erica cut her off with a long sigh, “please, I told you I don’t want to join him just leave me alone!” Erica said sternly and soon she heard the clo
Erica was currently standing in front of the wardrobe wearing only simple cargo pants and a white lace bra, and a towel wrapped on her the rest of her naked body, looking at the tops options available. She didn’t like any tops, and there were hundreds of them. She couldn’t decide because there were too many options. “You know I once saw a model in a magazine wearing a very cute white cropped top with cargo pants, I would like something like that to go with my pants as well,” Erica said and Jenny and Clio looked at each other and then at her. “A cropped top? Is it torn or something?” Clio asked and Erica looked at them with confusion plastered on her face, “No, it is not torn, its cropped,” Erica tried explaining it to them, “You can tell the wardrobe anything you want to wear and it will give it to you,” Jenny said and Erica nodded slowly with her lips zipped. “I want a white crop top,” she said to the wardrobe and with a swish a hanger in front of her that previously displayed a ye
Standing there in the garden as Erica looked around the magical garden she never knew that there is a world beyond her little village, where dreams and imagination intertwined; there existed a wondrous place like this enchanted garden. She would never have believed even if anyone told her about it. It was a realm of pure magic, a sanctuary untouched by time, where nature flourished in its most magnificent and fantastical forms.Sitting there, as she took a deep breath she felt the air tingling with an ethereal energy, carrying whispers of ancient spells, making her wish she knew more about the history of that place and the soft melodies of unseen creatures. The entrance was marked by towering arches entwined with blooming vines, their flowers glowing with vibrant hues that danced in harmony with the gentle breeze.Stepping through the arches, she entered a realm of enchantment. The path ahead meandered through a kaleidoscope of colors, where flowers of every shape and size carpeted th
It was a misty morning when Peter found himself standing on the outskirts of the forest. The air crackled with an otherworldly energy, sending shivers down his spine. Fear and curiosity battled within him as he hesitated at the edge, unsure of what awaited for him at the other side of forest. His house was the closest to the forest and every day and night he had the feeling of exploring its depth. He was a young and curious 16 year old boy. His father hallucinated a lot, and he would tell Peter strange stories about the forest. With a deep breath, Peter stepped forward, his footsteps muffled by the damp earth. He felt as if the trees were whispering something; a warning for him to back off. As he went deeper into the forest, the forest thickened around him. Either it was his imagination or there was actually a presence of magic, tangling in the air like invisible threads. As Peter rounded a bend, he froze. There, amidst a clearing bathed in dappled sunlight, stood the witch. She was
