“What is going on here?” Nyx asked because she couldn't understand what was going on. Callan was happy to see his girlfriend because she's been away for a while.

Her face looked familiar to Kayla, but she couldn't tell exactly where she'd seen her before.

Nyx looked at Kayla from her head and stopped at the belly; she noticed Kayla’s pregnancy was already obvious, and then she turned to look at Callan.

“You have a lot of explaining to do.”

“You didn’t tell me you were returning today.” Callan responded immediately. “Let's go talk.” Callan said to her, trying to take her upstairs so they could talk. Just then she recognized the other girl sitting in the dining room.

“Aren't you supposed to be a maid?” Nyx asked Ella. She noticed Ella wasn't bothered when she asked, like she had every right to be sitting on the dining table with the Alpha.
