Chapter Twenty Five

‘I’m sorry, Dakota, I’m exhausted. I can’t hold them off. They are going to make us shift, making you vulnerable to them. I hope it will be quick. Forgive me.’

The two mountain lions watched as the little wolf collapsed, her legs buckled, and she slumped to the floor, shimmered brightly and was replaced with the most stunningly beautiful naked woman they had ever seen.

She was perfect, every part of her, long golden legs, ending in a delectable, firm little ass, slender waist, taut six-pack abs leading to the most pert, dark pink nippled breasts that were begging to be sucked.  Raising their eyes to her face, they were met with stunning molten gold eyes that spat fire; her long golden hair was a myriad of colours swirling around her, almost to her hips. She was not submitting to them; that was obvious, her small fists were clenched tight, and she faced them bravely. Her head held high, not caring that she was a tiny, naked, vulnerable human facing down two huge mountain lions.

‘She’s very brave for such a delicious morsel.’

Aslan licked his lips, stepping closer to the stunning female and licking my ear, making me shudder and cry out.

‘Ewww, stop that.’

I scowled at them and actually pushed his massive head away from me and wiped his saliva from my head.

‘Goddess, she tastes so fucking good.’

His eyes dilated, and he wanted to lick her much more intimately, lowering his head, but Ari stopped him.

‘No, Aslan, not like this, let’s take her back to the den and have some fun with our little wolf captive.’

They turned to use their Alpha command on me, but I had used up the last reserves of my energy, and while they had debated what to do with me, my eyes rolled into the back of my head, and I gave in to the welcoming blackness.  

‘Fuck’

Ari shifted instantly, kneeling beside my slumped body and searching for a pulse. It was weak but steady, and he let out the breath he did not know he had been holding.

‘Let’s get her back to the den.’

He told his brother, who had also shifted into his human form.

I woke up in a cage. It took me a few minutes to realise this and that I  was still naked, when it hit me, a surge of anger spiked through me.

‘What the fuck?’

I leapt to my feet with an angry snarl, only to find an empty room and that only fueled my anger further. I was so fed up with these damn males thinking they could keep me caged, I grabbed the bars, working my way around them until I found the door. Whoever the cage had been designed for, it was not a nimble-fingered she-wolf, and I soon managed to slip my slender hand through the bars that held the door closed. I tugged at it, but it only moved a little, and after a few minutes of futile tugging with both hands, I collapsed against it, raging at myself.

‘How could I have been so fucking stupid?’

I berated myself, then turned on Solar, who shook her head and then curled up in a corner of my mind, far too depleted to be of any help.

‘I warned you to let me hunt. Without protein, I have no way of replenishing the energy I use. It’s simple physics: if I use my body’s resources, then I must replace them. You refused to let me because you are squeamish. This mess is of your making, human, deal with it.’

I was so shocked by my wolf’s censure and abandonment that I sat in a corner of the cage pulling my knees up to my chest and wrapped my arms around my legs. Resting my head against them, I let the tears flow.

‘Without Solar, I knew I was powerless, and I had no one to blame but myself.’

The sound of a door slamming made me jerk awake. I must have cried myself to sleep, and when I looked up with sleep-filled eyes, I could not stop the gasp that escaped my lips. Standing inside the room were two of the most gorgeous men I had ever seen, and they were absolutely identical. They stood at least six feet five, their bodies incredible, not an ounce of spare fat on them, they rippled with muscles, not a six pack for these two, oh no, they sported eight packs. They looked like Greek Gods, as if they had been chiselled from blocks of golden marble; they were so perfect, their long dark golden hair hung in wild curls down their backs. When my eyes reached their faces, I was met with two pairs of brilliant golden eyes locked onto me.

‘Fuck.’

I hissed, grabbing the blanket that I been sleeping on and wrapping it around my naked body, although the two perfect male specimens watching me wore only low-hung jeans. Their beautiful tattooed chests were bare, of clothes and hair, I  noticed, almost drooling at how delicious they looked.

‘Like what you see, little wolf?’

One of them smirked, and a low growl rumbled in my throat as I stood to face them.

‘Fuck you.’

I snapped, and the one who had spoken chuckled,

‘Oh, don’t worry, little wolf, we fully intend to; we did not bring you here for sparkling conversation.’

He sauntered over to the cage, and I backed as far away from him as far as I could, which wasn’t far, as the bars prevented me from being out of his reach.  

Ari watched his brother intimidating the beauty locked in their cage. They had told no one what they had done; the twins knew their father would have disapproved. The trouble was, both of them were incredibly attracted to the stunning little she-wolf; she was all they had talked about as they went about their duties. They had returned to their room as soon as they could; she had been out cold for a couple of hours, clearly exhausted and needing to rest.
