MasukDAMON'S POV
"There's no need to be scared, you can sit." I said calmly.
Elisa hesitated for a while before finally taking her seat.
"So care to enlighten me what a married woman is doing on a blind date?" I asked nonchalantly as I poured water into her cup.
Elisa shifted uncomfortably for a bit before sighing and grabbing the cup with her two hands.
How cute, I thought to myself seeing her reaction.
I already knew what happened, her mother had narrated everything to me, and maybe because I might have made what happened to actually happen.
Derrick is a man that will limit her potential, I knew it from the first day I saw him.
I was heading to confess my love to Elisa when I found her in the arms of another man, I was pissed, very pissed.
In the end, we had a big fight that made us to cut off contact with each other, actually she cut off contact with me.
"First of all, I'm not here on by my own will I was tricked, also Derrick cheated and we are getting a divorce so I am not exactly a married woman anymore."
I hummed in response and then silence reigned between us, the waiter came to take our order before heading out almost immediately.
I furrowed my brows at the waiters action slightly dissatisfied, everyone has always been scared of me for some reason, it was annoying.
Glancing at Elisa who was frowning at her phone made my heart beat faster than usual, she is the first.
The first woman to treat me like every other human being.
Even my own mother is scared of me, but Elisa? She's never failed to embrace me.
That's why I must try as hard as possible to hide my darkest secrets from her, no matter what it takes.
"Damon? Why are you going on a blind dates? You're attractive enough to have many women swarm around you, so why bother with a blind date?" Elisa questioned after dropping her phone making me tilt my head, staring at her intently.
Under my intense gaze, she flushed red, averting her eyes, "I'm sorry for how I reacted that day." She muttered, oh, she's probably embarrassed.
I hummed tapping my fingers on the table slowly, before deciding to speak.
"My mom forced me as well." I stated simply even if it was a balant lie, I had called Elisa's mom after the woman I hired told me the job is done.
I explained to her "my predicament" of not being able to find a wife when I'm already pushing 30, at that time Elisa was not back home so she was not that enthusiastic to help me out.
After all, compared to other men in the city, The Gilbert family thought of me as the best suited for their family.
By the time Elisa returned, she called me with so much excitement telling me she would arrange a date.
"I know you Damon, you won't come just because your mom forced you." Elisa chuckled, making me stunned, I smiled a bit raising the wine glass to cover my face.
"Well, my grandfather left some inheritance for me, I can't have them till I'm married, you know how women are around me, so that's why I came." I explained.
My carefully fabricated story with a sad face making Elisa frown a bit before glancing at her phone.
"We are friends right?" She asked inching closer towards me over the table.
"Of course." I responded in a dry tone, I didn't want to show my excitement.
"Well, I'm in a similar predicament, my dad is saying he won't let me become the CEO unless I get married." She revealed making my eye twitch.
Maybe I had a role in that too.
For someone who had just gotten out of a failed marriage, I doubted that Elisa would be eager to remarry so I just placed precautionary pieces, who knew they would come in handy.
"Oh." I mouthed faking disbelief, making her nod repeatedly.
"Unfair right? The old man is acting up just because I gave a light punishment to that Derrick guy." She hissed angrily.
My grip on my cup tightened the moment I heard those words, does it mean she is still in love with that-
"How about we get married instead? That way you get your inheritance and I get the CEO position." Elisa proposed.
A frown settled on my face as I pretended to think about it.
"Don't you think it's dangerous, proposing marriage to anyone." I questioned, looking displeased.
So if it wasn't me with her on the blind date would she have proposed to another man like this as well?
"You're not anyone, we've known each other for long now." She argued, pouting her lips.
She looked so cute, I couldn't bare to fight against her anymore.
"Fine." I agreed, looking reluctant.
"Really?" She shot up from her seat excitedly, her hands slamming on the table.
"Really." I confirmed, a soft smile on my face.
She is a diamond, one that has been hidden for too long in the mud, now it was my time to take her, clean her up and make her shine.
"Let's go tell my parents then." She stood up coming over to my side to pull me by arm.
I stood up, towering over her, before patting her hair lightly.
"Careful, there's no need to rush things, besides there's still your divorce to settle." I explained calmly, in reality, If I could, I would most definitely drag her to the courthouse today and marry her instantly.
But she is a queen, and she deserves go be treated like one, so the grandest of wedding must be granted to her.
"My lawyer went to drop the papers today, let's just go." She dragged me out of the room.
Well I let her drag me, because no way a 5'9 foot tall woman, weighing 165 Ibls woman is dragging a 208.1 Ibls man.
"What's wrong?" I asked noticing the way she stopped abruptly.
Following her gaze, I saw her staring at Derrick that had his hand wrapped around that woman.
My heart beat accelerated, what if the woman speaks up and Elisa catches on?
"What are you doing here?" Derrick asked Elisa making me raise my brows, what audacity does he even have to ask that.

Freddy rushed to my side looking worried as he propped a cup of water closer to me."What are you doing here?" I asked, sitting up, my throat feeling parched.I grabbed the cup from his hands drinking the water myself."Sir you passed out for three days, the hospital had no choice to contact me since Madam Elisa wouldn't pick up."My grip on my cup tightened, Elisa was listed as my emergency contact, she must really not want to see me.Wait, I was asleep for three days? The devil's torment was usually strong enough to wake me up from my sleep."What about what you found? Is it safe?" I questioned instantly.I would think about the torment later, now I just have to get rid of those people."It is sir, but it's not best to pursue it now, the doctor advises you to be on bed
Song recommended Love wins all by IU_________________Damon The day Elisa broke down was still vivid in my head.I had seen everything through the crack of the door, Dave whom I have always known for having only a stoic expression on his face, cried. His wife was no different. Why won't they?I had failed to fulfill a promise that I made to them, never to hurt their daughter. Not only did I hurt her, I caused damage to both her mind and body.My heart ached tremendously, my hands shaking as I scooped some water to wash my face.I was worn out mentally and hadn't slept in days.By 11, I would sneak off and lock myself in the car, letting the torment wash over me where no one could see. Then slipped back inside during the nurses' shift change.I don't have to be a burden on anyone else.Nor do I deserve a peaceful sleep with everything Elisa was going through."I knew you would be here." My head hurts.I fell down the stairs- someone pushed me.Instantly my head cleared as I jerked up, my hand went to my stomach, the little bulge that had been there felt nonexistent."Elisa." My head jerked towards Damon who had just entered the room."Why does my stomach feel empty Damon?" I asked, my voice hoarse.I wanted to hear words opposite to what I thought."You shouldn't be up yet, lay back down." Damon said avoiding my gaze, as he reached towards me to lay me back down."Answer me Damon." I urged, but he stayed silent.Gripping his sleeve, a hiccup escaped my lips as I tried to muster words to speak."I'm sorry." He apologized instead turning to the side, a tear rolling down his cheeks."Sorry?""What are you sorry for?" I yelled
DAMONI watched the banquet festivities from a dark corner where no one could spot me.I wanted to stay away from everyone's eyes so it would be easy for me to slip out later on.I stared at my brother, Johnson interacting with guests while my parents happily showed him off.I heard a crack sound drawing my gaze to the glass cup in my hand, sighing I gestured for a waiter.I thought I no longer cared.I thought I was numb. The truth has always been clear, I would never be their first choice despite being their biological son.Funny isn't it? They hated me so much they got a replacement.I wish they could have just hated me, I had gotten used to it, but they had to get tangled with what made me happy.I wondered how Eli was doing?I miss her smiles and laughter so much. The thought of her left a fluttering feeling in my chest, there's no denial she was the sole reason for my joy."Dad." ELISAI stared at the mirror, my face breaking into a small smile as I stared at my barely noticeable bulge. My morning sickness had stopped, well- majorly, but I was now able to eat peacefully. My baby was now 2 months and a few weeks old."We are going to see your dad today." I paused staring at my reflection with resolve."And today would determine if he would still hold that title." I added rubbing my belly gently.I can't wait to meet the little one soon, "if so mummy would protect you, just focus on growing up well, okay?" I cooed, giggling softly.I wondered if he or she could hear me.A knock interrupted my conversation with my child."Who is it?" I asked softly still staring into the mirror. Most people would stare this long in wonder if they had added weight but I was just not used to this look yet.Even though it's been months it felt a bit surreal that I conceived despite the doctors ruling it off as impossible.Guess the impossible becomes possible if you're with the righ
DAMON"That's a bit cold." He said with a jest in his voice."What do you want devil?" I questioned not having the energy to deal with him right now."You." He answered while I snickered."I'm not yours to own, you torment me daily already, make do with it." "Don't you want your wife back?"Hearing that question I hesitated a bit, but still, it would be mad to sell myself to the devil twice.A chilling laughter erupted through the darkness."It seems you've learnt your lesson.""What do you want?" I snapped, the image of Elisa crying blood not leaving my mind."Stop looking for that shaman." He demanded.I turned to where his voice came from, only to see a thick black fog at that spot."And if I say no?" "I would bring your death faster than you imagine." Hearing his reply I smirked."If there's one thing I have learnt over the years of my research, the devil can't break an already made contract."Him coming to meet me only meant one thing, that shaman could probably figure this ou
