9. Surprise

I am a strict but gentle alpha, and I like all my pack members to be on time for training. With that being said I'm usually the last person and if you're late your doors are already closed and you have missed training for the day. When I walked into the training arena I smelled her scent but I didn't see her. But I knew she was close by and that made Wyatt howl excited to see his mate and made me feel the same way about her too. After not seeing her for a few minutes I figured she was in the locker room so with that I walked over to Nick .

" Hey good morning " I said to him

" Good morning Alpha I believe everybody's here and on time too " he said back to me.

I just nodded my head " good you can make announcements in 5 minutes just let me stretch first" I stated to him 

" You're the alpha you shouldn't have the need to still stretch." He said, 

" Yes ,but it's still annoying to get leg cramps…" I stopped mid sentence because I felt eyes on me and I know it's Katrina . So I turn and look at her , she is standing on the other side of the medium size arena . 

So I decided to ruffle her feathers just to get a reaction out of her. So I winked at her and I was right , she was so surprised by my action that it cut off guard and her face turned a light shade of red. Causing a grin to the satisfaction to appear on my face.

" Geez man you have no shame " Nick commented at my action since I was right in front of him.

She turned around and then I found myself ogling her back as she stretched and then she bent over.

" Jesus, " I said to myself.

But then Nick pulled me from my thoughts about having her bent over my bed very soon at this rate.

"Really ? man you have no shame... What about your mate? He sounded confused after the conversation we had the other night .he asked through a mind link

" She is my mate , the woman I just winked at" I replied back through the mind link. 

He looked at her, looked at me, looked back at her and back at me.

" She's the twins' older sister?" He asked questionably

" Yes" I said looking back at her now seeing that she's talking to the girl named Gina.

I guess she still has people she was friends with here before she left. After our first run in I did some looking up on her and I just simply asked your sisters too. 

" Well my question is now what are you going to do about her ?” he asked.

" Well.. I'm going to see where this goes , just something about her is intriguing and I need to find out what it is." I told him truthfully because I wasn't going to lie to him about it or her.

He looked at me for a second and processed what I said and he nodded his head and turned around and went to go make the announcements. Once he made the announcements he called Katrina over so he could talk to her. When he said that she had to fight one of us to see what her skills are she looked at me and then looked back at Nick.

"Me" Nick said to her.

And with that she sized them up. I've never seen any she Wolf do that before, only males. I was so surprised by her action I didn't hear my pack member Sarah standing beside me.

"Hello Alpha," she said to me.

"Hello Sarah, how can I help you?" I asked, getting straight to the point.

" Are you ready for the water dunk for the Fall festival ? A lot of people are ready to see you get wet ." She laughed and that reminded me that there's a festival coming up next Saturday and then she slightly touched my arm. And out of nowhere I heard a low ground. I looked up to see Katrina had her eyes on me and Sarah. I slightly raise my eyebrow at the questionable action of what the f*** was her problem . Then I realized what had happened , she didn't like Sarah touching me. Then out of nowhere Nick punched her, catching her off guard and sending her flying to the floor on her butt. It caught me off guard too but I knew he was testing her on how well she can take a punch . 

Then he walks over to her and tells her to pay attention and she's getting up off the floor dusting herself off. Then she asks him a question.

" All I have to do is land you on your ass?" I heard her ask him in a very smart tone.

"Yes," he said .

Next thing I know she's running straight towards and fast as hell. She gets right up on him and looks like she's about to upper cut him but she just jumps to the left and then jumps on his back . She wraps her legs around on his neck and then flips him over onto his face instead of his ass. I've never seen a move like that before nor have I seen a move executed so smoothly.

Maybe he shouldn't have done that, he noted mentally now, don't try to take her off guard because apparently she's about payback. She moves off of him and then takes the fighter stance, not one I've seen before. 

Not a sound was made in the arena when that happened it was quiet you can hear the needle drop. She dropped her shoulders and finally relaxed. She looked up at me. I looked at her with a proud look and never gave it to any woman before. She quickly looked away before she was blushing again ,I love that look on her face . 

Nick finally gets up and this is dust himself off he looks pissed , but he doesn't take it out on her instead he congratulates her and asks her where she learned to move from. She politely replied saying that an old friend taught her. Wyatt lowly growled on the inside at that thought of some male training with her alone . 

"I wonder who this old friend she's talking about is," he said, sounding a little jealous of whoever she was talking about.

With that Nick started to walk back over to me.

"I know what you're thinking man, I was caught off guard." He said, trying to convince me that she caught him off guard.

" Bad thing is man I think she meant to catch you off guard in the beginning just to get back at you " I said trying not to laugh knowing he got put on his ass by my mate.

"Look, whatever man are you going to fight her today?" As soon as he said that somebody from the pack house mind linked me over saying that somebody has arrived but I wasn't planning on having anybody today and yet so early too. 

"Well she just got lucky today somebody just mind linked me from the pack house saying that somebody has arrived, was you expecting anybody?" I asked him just to see if he did have anybody coming and just forgot to tell me.

"No Alpha I didn't plan on having anybody come by today, and especially early too." He reassured me.

" Okay, just tell her we'll have to do it at a later time and that I will let her know when."I said to him so he can tell her but right now I need to go see who arrived at the packed house and with that I gave him a nod and I turned on my heels and left to turn around to give her one good look and she was talking to Nick. I didn't want to leave but I can deal with her later.

I took off through the woods once I arrived at the pack house. A few minutes later I walked straight in through the back door through the kitchen just to see some of the omegas cooking up breakfast being that it was almost 8:00 am and I knew some of the pack members would be coming in to eat. I fed everybody every morning after training days so it was normal to see the omega's working but any other days the kitchen is usually empty and so is the house besides me and Nick.

"Who is it that arrived this morning?" I asked one of the girls that was stirring something in a pot that looked like grits.

"I believe they said they were your parents Alpha" she said to me trying not to seem so scared that I surprised her by talking to her. But what the hell was my parents doing here? I asked myself why they showed up so suddenly without calling at least.
