Chapter 15

Charlie POV

I check the exclusive silver watch on my wrist after waiting for more than five minutes extra in the meeting hall.

As the chairman of the group, I sit on the larger chair that is positioned in the middle of other members sitting positions.

I tap my black polished shoe on the floor a couple of times as we wait for a few more members before the meeting kicks off.

The tapping of my shoe on the floor increases as I get a flash of what happened last night. I murmured Lily’s name again and have finally come to the conclusion that I’m going insane.

Elisa and I had another fight last night because of Lily, who doesn't even exist to me, and now she is so desperate to find out who Lily is. She no longer believes that the lily I speak of is just a flower.

I hiss at myself the more I think about it. Why should I expect her to believe just the lie I told her? Is she that dumb or stupid?
