Chapter 16

I walk through the thick glass door, sauntering into the shop, as I spot Flora trimming some flowers as usual and properly arranging them in a transparent vessel.

I hasten my step with the high black heel I wore, coupled with the black long dress and a red hat. I take out my dark shade and drop the hat on my table, including my handbag, while I prepare to take care of these beauties.

“ Hey.” I holler; she isn’t even aware of the time I step in, as she is so focused on the Nicotiana flower, cutting the stems.

“Holy Shit! When did you step in?” She gasps as she widens her eyes in anguish.

“You need to be more active, Flora. What if it was a customer who stepped in to steal? Anyway, you are lucky there are cameras in the shop. Between, how have things been?” I sigh, walking near her.

“It’s been going pretty well." She glances at me and smiles, but stops smiling as she pays attention to my eyes.

"Are you good, Lily?” She asks as her eyes narrow at me.
