Caleb POV

“What is it?” I mind link Aurora. Her green eyes are wide as she scans the crowd, swallowing a few times before she looks at me. The heat of the flames warm my skin but they give her a haunting quality. “Avery isn’t here,” she whispers through the mind link, and I know why she is so shaken. He should be here. He was friends with Beck, cared about him like we all did. Even if he didn’t, he’s leadership, there is no excuse for him to be absent.

My chin tilts down as I give her a nod. Finding the tether to him through the pack, I try to mind link him. There has to be a reason why he is missing. It’s not like Avery to go rogue and yet Gabriel mentioning someone could have betrayed us keeping ringing in my ears. Now his absence seems to confirm our suspicions.

Looking at my brothers, I tell them the same thing Aurora told me. Each of their faces harden marking their betrayal. It’s hard not to let the stench grip me, twisting a dirty blade into my back. Normally I am all for inno

  • Revenge Of My Four Alpha Mates   Chapter 41

Gabriel POV By the time we make it to the cells, Avery is barely conscious. Blood cakes his face, crusted around broken teeth and a shattered nose.Sabastian and Ethan howl at each other whilst I got to work. Sabastian made a lot of good points. If Avery couldn’t talk, we wouldn’t know what happened to Luca.Without my serums, healing him is... less pretty. Messier. Cruder. Alpha saliva contains potent healing properties that can heal one’s mate. Mine happens to heal everybody. Looking at Avery’s beaten up face, I’m sure he wants me to lick him as much as I do. His wolf will start the healing process, but for now, I can help.I gather as much saliva in my mouth before spitting it onto his face. He’s a traitor. I’ll heal him, doesn’t mean I’ll be nice about it.Two. Three more sprays hitting his nose, jaw and cheekbones. Each time he groans, but the blood stops flowing. The skin beginning to knit itself back together.“Need to fix that nose of yours,” I state before clicking back into

Sabastian POV “What the hell are you doing?” I snap through the mind link once Ethan releases my arm. I keep the shadows tightly around us so Avery doesn’t know how close we are.I’m completely drained from taking Ethan with me. He is heavier, bigger and wider than Aurora by a long shot! Not to mention I don’t take anyone with me unless absolutely necessary because of the toll it takes to do so. “You’re not dealing with this without me,” he hisses back and despite his rage, manages to have the sense to use the mind link back. Shooting him a glare, he holds his own back as we have stare off for a full two minutes.Without Ethan here, this would have been a stealth mission. Calm. Controlled. Discreet.I would have been able to apprehend Avery and bring him to the cell where my brothers could be waiting. Now there is more chance of Ethan killing him before we can ask him any questions. My muscles ache as I move, the adrenaline crashing with exhaustion. As I look at Ethan signalling to h

  • Revenge Of My Four Alpha Mates   Chapter 38

Aurora POVMy outspoken, independent daughter is being unusually clingy. Since Luca has been gone the longer he is missing, my little one has turned into my shadow. Her twin, on the other hand, is nowhere to be seen. Although if I had to guess, I would say it is either with Ethan or Riley.A cloud hangs over me today. Beck’s funeral is finally here and as I finish getting into my dress and shoes, a hundred times trickier with Violet clutching my leg. I sit down to begin putting makeup on my face. There are purple bags under my eyes. My skin is dull and flaky, no doubt from all the stress of trying to hold everyone together. My hair hangs limp rather than its normal bounce and volume. Part of me thinks the back should see the real me. Raw. Broken. Unravelling.Since our argument in the office, my mates and I have barely spoken two words to each other. It’s like we are on autopilot and the chasm between us all just continues to grow. Caleb has taken to sleeping in his office. The others

  • Revenge Of My Four Alpha Mates   Chapter 37

Aurora POV I sprint up the stairs, taking two at a time before I get to my office, slamming the door behind me. My office overlooks the garden normally it’s my favourite view to hearing the kids play and laugh. Will I hear that again? My chest feels tight with the ways it niggling and squirming like the bond is fighting to escape. My mates have always protected me and shielded me and the kids. Did I always like it? No. But now I feel completely out of my depth. Everything that has happened between us we worked through together, but Luca being gone is just driving us apart. Ethan’s rage, Gabriel’s drinking, Caleb’s silence. Sabastian is the only one in control, but it’s not always a good thing. He’s strategic, smart and committed to his pack and me like nothing else, but he’s reckless at times and I feel like the calm facade is about to drop before all hell breaks loose. When that happens, I have no idea where we will all land.More than anything, I am annoyed at myself that I didn’t s

  • Revenge Of My Four Alpha Mates   Chapter 36

Aurora POVA tense silence hangs over us, thick and brittle, like a sheet of ice on the verge of shattering. The air is charged with stress and worry for Luca, a palpable anxiety that tightens around us like a vise. We can’t afford to turn against each other now. Ethan’s eyes suddenly lock onto mine, blazing with such desperate intensity that I feel an overwhelming urge to agree with him, no matter what he says. “We need to move now. Luca could be anywhere, and we’re hours from most of the packs,” he growls, his voice brimming with urgency. “I want to head to Bloodmoon Bay to find a witch who can help us locate him.” He hisses at me, but I can tell his rage is directed to his brother. It sounds reasonable enough … although I don’t know what we could offer a witch that would make them want to help. For all we know, we could be adding to our list of problems, not solving them.I turn to face Sabastian, my eyes looking at him expectantly. Honestly, it’s the same stare I give the kids, no

  • Revenge Of My Four Alpha Mates   Chapter 35

Aurora POV Numb. I’m numb. My eyes flick from Logan to Violet and back again. My eyes itch and I feel like I can’t even blink in case someone takes them from me, too. The clip of Luca … one second he was there, the next. Gone.I watch Logan pull on his short red curls as we watch the Lion King again. I’m not sure this was the best movie choice, but I also can’t find it in me to turn it off. Violet giggles as they sing once more and I sigh, struggling to focus … my baby is gone. My first born. The house is so quiet without him. I feel him everywhere. Luca … he must be so scared. So brave. What if his anger gets the best of him … it could be a good thing but they will only hurt him more. I swallow back the feeling as a lump forms in my throat. I don’t think I will breathe again properly until he’s back home. If he comes - no when he comes back home.Violet twirls her long blonde hair as my gaze flicks back between the twins. Goddess. “Come sit with me,” I tell them as they scrunch up t

  • Revenge Of My Four Alpha Mates   Chapter 34

Caleb POV“I should’ve seen it coming. I see everything. But not this.” I paced back and forth in my office. The dark wood shined in the light sunlight with the strong scent of polish still in the air. My door was locked as I paced back and forth with multiple piles of papers and dream journals open on every available surface and floor. Honestly, walking was becoming rather difficult.“There has to be something I’ve missed!” I hiss as I crouch down, reading one of my visions concerning Luca. They are all for when he is older. Nothing. Nothing about now. But there has to be. I can’t have missed this?“Aaarah!” I toss it over to the couch before pulling my glasses off and pinching the bridge of my nose. This isn’t right. I see everything. Regardless of if I want to or not. How am I supposed to go back home and face my brothers and mate when I have no leads, no clue who is behind this?Elio and Jaden had sent me some files on Uriel and Alex. there was nothing new, I had it all already bu

  • Revenge Of My Four Alpha Mates   Chapter 33

Gabriel POVWhen I arrive at the hospital, the scent of blood, smoke and disinfectant irritates my nose. “What is the latest?” I ask one of the head nurses as she comes running towards me with a clipboard in hand. My gut continues to twist itself into knots, but I can’t focus on Luca or the fact that he is gone. We need answers and hopefully I’ll be able to get some here. If nothing else, at least I feel useful. Like I can do something.I scan the notes from each of the patients, seeing their wounds. All of them have been burned. It’s what I saw on the footage, so no surprises there. “Have they said anything?” I ask walking through the hospital straight to the first room. “No, they are still unconscious,” she tells me as I nod, walking inside. The smell is what hits me first. Charred meat and burnt hair. Walking slowly forward, I look over at the first warrior. He is stocky, strong and about average height. The machine beeps steadily, checking his vitals. Hopefully, his wolf will help
