Caleb POV

Red robes gathered on the floor, dust and spoiled water seeping into the fabric as it dragged one by one as feet thundered past the cell. The chanting rose flames flickering off the walls. In an ominous glow. There was a small whimpering voice in the darkness as long spindly fingers with black markings pointed to the back corner of the cell.

“Bring him.” the metal door was unlocked, the rusted hinges dragging long on the stone floor that made my teeth itch. I had been here before. I had seen this … why was this happening again?
