On getting to work, she met her manager and took an excuse for half a day. She was granted the day off immediately because she rarely asks for it.

"Miss Ariana, before you leave could you please pile up the information on the last three documents I sent you? Make a photocopy and send it to the president's office. He needs it as fast as possible,'' her manager instructed.

Ariana had been avoiding the president all these days after she found out about him. At first she wanted to apologize but she lost her courage after that day, so instead, she had been avoiding him. Since it's the Manager's instruction she has no way of disobeying.
