On the first day that Helena was in the camp, she gained friends right away, like it wasn’t easy to socialize since everyone knows her for being not just an Asher but also as Alpha Louis’ mate.

“I’m really shocked. This is the first time he brought a woman here. We thought you were the one whom he was talking about, but maybe he really fell for you to change his mind and introduce you to us instead,” Mica said, also a wolf.

“I think he isn’t in love with me. We just have the same reason why we accepted the arrangement since I wanted to help our family and he wanted to grant his grandpa’s wish, which he said,” she explained since she doesn’t want to make too much fuss about it.

“Oh! But maybe, later on, you two would develop feelings. It really happens in arrangements, and soon enough, you two might just accept each other.”

Helena couldn’t smile. She doesn’t know how to respond to it since her goal is just to get the justice she deserves.

“But isn’t it easy to just fall in love with Alpha Louis? Who wouldn’t fall for a man like him? ”The other girls pointed out and giggled.

Helena agreed too because there is just something about Louis that she would sometimes fold too. Although she just knew her own boundary, she doesn’t let some of her thoughts get into her and create some scenarios that are too impossible.

“Stop it, girls. Don’t pressure Helena too much. If he doesn’t like Alpha Louis romantically, we can’t force her that,” Bruno inserted himself on the topic since they were just in one of the houses where they were planning to make some pot.

The girls then teased her since they knew his nature as a playboy. He has been famous in the camp for his outstanding rumors with different girls, and everyone knows how he’s so consistent about it. He is such a hustling playboy himself that he would always get the girl once he started pursuing it or showing signals.

“If there was someone you needed to avoid here, it’s Bruno, Helena. He is such a playboy, and don’t fall for his charm,” Rina, who is one of the women, pointed out and bumped her shoulder at Helena for a warning.

Bruno glared at the girls while he was trying to help them with their planned pottery. And yet, he became the main topic as soon as he spoke up.

“Shut-up, ladies. Aren’t you ashamed to pair me with an Asher and Alpha Louis’ mate? He is still her mate,” he hissed at them, but the girls were eager to dismiss him.

“You find Helena very pretty, right? You know that Alpha Louis has her own first love and she would not replace her, and now that you’ve found out that Helena and Alpha Louis just both agreed with the agreement to get paired, you might probably be thinking now how to shoot your shot,” Alice teased him.

Bruno glared at the girls and hushed them while he was blushing out of embarrassment. But the girls are just too eager to continue teasing the two of them.

“Well, for you Helena, are you willing to consider Bruno if Alpha Louis decides to stop it since he found the woman whom his first love is?” They asked.

Everyone looked at Helena as they waited for her response. Who wouldn’t be curious? Because even Bruno was slightly trying to pay attention despite pretending to get busy with what he was doing.

“I’m still in the process of healing,” she admitted sincerely.

“Oh right. We heard that you came from a deep coma, right?” Their mood suddenly shifted, and they all looked concerned now.

Helena nodded and smiled weakly. It wasn’t just Helena’s healing she was talking about but also what she experienced—that she was still moving on from the trauma and the greatest betrayal she got from Darren.

And falling in love again is not that easy knowing how she poured out her love for someone else that it turned out ugly. She had a lot of hopes that maybe their love would not last like what she doubted, that they would be together till the end, and yet it didn’t happen.

But she wasn’t caging herself because she knew she deserved to fall in love again. She deserves a love that would never hurt her, betray her, or even ruin her. And she is still wishful that she might find it too soon. She might find it someday.

“You probably have someone from the past too, like Alpha Louis, whom you can’t forget about?” They started interrogating her.

They had already started doing their pottery, but the topic continued as they were trying to mold it while Helena watched them for a while, still learning how to start it.

“Oh…yeah. I got too. But it doesn’t weigh anything to me anymore. I am just trying to forget it and move forward too soon. But it’s still hard. It’s a long process,” she shared.

“Wow. Is he also from a rich family? Because knowing you are an Asher, he’s probably rich? Perhaps an alpha too?” It was Mica who was curious.

Helena only smiled. She knew she couldn’t just tell it to them so easily knowing that it is an Adam and it is now linked to her sister, which is Ingrid.

“Is he cute? What do you like about a man, by the way?” The girls interrogated.

Bruno cleared his throat as he tried to concentrate on what he was doing, but his ears were already on the girls topic. Of course, he will not lie to himself that Helena is just too perfect not to be noticed or even liked. Who wouldn’t? See is a goddess, and she is just too perfect and angelic.

But he has a little bit of remorse to consider that he can’t just rudely start some signals on her knowing that he is still Alpha Louis’ woman.

“Oh, I actually like gentlemen—those who have pleasing personalities and who seem friendly. It was my standard from the past,” she explained, to which the girls screamed and pointed at Bruno.

“What the hell, girls? ”Bruno glared at them, but his cheeks were already red since he knew to himself that the description was just too perfect for his own image.

“That is not Alpha Louis! Oh no wonder you don’t like him! He is intense and unfriendly-looking because of his snobbish aura, and he seemed like he would just punch someone right there and then if he’s pissed. Knowing that he is also well-known among girls for not being friendly!” They compared.

“But Bruno! It fits perfectly with your description! He is the perfect example of a friendly man; he excuses it as his flirting skill because he knows that he is charming when he is like that! ”Mica teased, and the girls laughed.

Even Helena found it hilarious as well because Bruno was shaking his head uncontrollably and trying to tell her that they were wrong about it.

“Oh, you two could make a cute couple! Imagine if you two have fallen in love for each other! ”Alice screamed and fanned herself that the mud slightly splashed on her apron.

Helena just laughed because she knew that she wasn’t in the camp to find love.

“Girls, if Alpha Louis hears about these things, all of you will be dead. He is still his woman, you know,” Bruno said.

“We are just joking, okay! Unless you are taking everything seriously because you really want to score a date on Helena!”Rina said, which made the girls tease them even more.

Helena gestured to stop teasing them and pointed at the pottery so she could start learning about their hobby too. She wanted to join the fun of the girls and explore herself as Helena.

Because she knew that this was an opportunity for her to socialize. She would admit that being Helena is much easier than being herself from the past because she was always hated back then. Being Alana is like a curse; she never knew where it was coming from or why she was treated so badly.

But unlike Helena, because she came from a family of wealthy bloodlines, it is so easy for her to socialize that making friends hasn’t been hard for her. It was just smooth, and she was being the center of attention too.

“I don’t know pottery,” she continued, as she wanted to learn about it.

“Oh, Bruno! Help her since you were the one who’s good on this!” The girls immediately ordered, as if they were setting him up or just playfully putting him on the spot to make himself goofy.

But Bruno knew it was one of his jobs to teach Helena things and to guide him while he was in the camp. So he stood behind her and guided her hand, cleared his throat, and tried to stay serious.

“You haven’t tried this ever since?” He asked.

Helena shook her head. “I couldn’t remember at all.”

Bruno glanced at the side, but he regretted it when he realized she was too close that the girls giggled watching them. They really look good together, but it was just Helena who’s not putting any meaning on it.

“Well, don’t worry, I’ll teach you until you eventually learn,” Bruno said despite the nervousness he is feeling.

Helena just nodded as she is willing to learn things while the girls were now teasing them nonstop like alpha Louis would not react on it if he finds out… Wouldn’t he?
