LOGINHelena didn’t expect Louis to say those words like he was already accepting her in his house, and he was now slowly getting used to her presence that he didn’t mind her noise.
But knowing that Louis was barely in the mansion, she could not do anything there, unlike in the camp, that would help her a lot of things.
She was planning for 3 nights at least to experience what it is like to live there, since it wasn’t just built for identifying what classification you are, but it was also for socializing more.
She wanted to make friends and slowly build her own battalion. It was what was circulating around her mind, knowing that her past self was so caged and isolated because the people around her made her feel like they were enough in her life and she didn’t need anyone anymore.
But that was what she regretted the most—that she let them cage her. She lets them control her life and she always agrees with them because she believes in them, she trusts them, and that’s her greatest mistake.
Now that she learned from it, she wants to make sure she will have lots of money so she can ask for help once she is in danger. She knows how powerful the families involved, the Adams and the Asher, are, and once the two families team up to cover up the dirt of their kids, she would waste everything.
As much as she wanted to celebrate that she was in the ally with a Montville, she knew that their family was personally tied to the Asher family, not to her. If things get out of hand, she thinks that the Montville might only lend some help in order not to exacerbate the case because it might add fuel to the fire and would put the Montville at risk as well.
It was what was circulating in her mind. She couldn’t trust anyone at the moment, and she should be wise to use her brain now because her life would not revive again if she lost the chance given by the moon goddess.
“Helena,” Bruno smiled as soon as Helena arrived together with Louis.
Bruno went to the driver to help with Helena’s things.
“The driver will handle her things,” Louis said.
Bruno shook his head and insisted on helping her out. Helena smiled as she couldn’t help but be thankful for Bruno, and she immediately looked at Louis.
“Thank you. I am going to be fine here. You can leave now. I can handle myself,” she said since she didn’t want to burden him anymore.
Louis was somehow impressed by seeing her being so independent that she would survive without his help, and she was willing to handle everything alone.
He silently watched her walk with Bruno, who was also signaling to Louis that he would take care of her while she was in the camp.
Everyone in the camp is faithful to Alpha Louis. They have dedicated their lives to the pack, and he knows he can trust everyone, but there is something that doesn’t feel right to him, although he knows that he was doing the right thing, it doesn’t sound good to him.
Helena and Bruno walked to Helena’s cabin in the camp. If only she could jump out of excitement, she would do it. It was like being on a trip with strangers for the first time during your teenage life and being thrilled and excited about the things you would experience.
“You are an Asher, right? Quite a heavy name,” Bruno pointed out while smiling.
“Is it?” she asked since she knew that the Asher were rich, but she didn’t really know yet why they were a big deal.
“Of course it is! You are the sister of Ingrid Asher, which means you are a big deal!” he pointed out.
Helena’s smile was slowly vanishing. Helena’s worth was only measured by the existence of her sister, and she felt offended for ‘Helena’ personally.
It felt like her sister always shines her, that she would never be recognized for herself but for the achievement of her sister only.
She felt bad, but at the same time, she wanted to use it as an inspiration to make a name for Helena herself as well, that she would not live in her sister’s shadow all the time and that she had something to offer too.
“Being an Asher is a privilege, you know. You are able to access a lot of things, and you belong to a respected family. A noble indeed,” Bruno continued.
“Knowing that you are also a sister of Ingrid, that woman is very demure and angelic. She does help a lot of people in the town, and she has always been so kind and nice that everyone wants her. How lucky for that man from the Adams to have her as his future wife, you know. She is something else. Your sister is great,” Bruno said, which made Helena sick in her stomach.
During those times she had known Ingrid, she knew that she belonged in the upper class, and she came from a wealthy family because she would always give her things that were beyond her imagination in terms of how expensive they were. She realized that all along, it was just a bribe.
But she does agree with Bruno that being part of a wealthy family is such a privilege because it does things to you that a normal person can’t. If only she was part of a wealthy family who cared so much about her, her death might not be that bitter or miserable because she knows that her family will do everything for the justice she deserves.
“So this is your cabin,” Bruno said as soon as she opened the door, which is a special cabin that belongs to Louis’ important guests.
“Wow… It looks so cozy,” she said as she could see a not-so-small bed with thick foam and a thick blanket; beside it was a window that could see the thickness of the snow outside, and other than that, she had a fireplace too.
Bruno showed her the fridge where her food would be restored, the bathroom where there is also a heater so she could take a bath with hot water, and a small table just good for her, including a sofa good for two people.
Overall, it was a cute room that meant everything to Helena because it had everything she needed, and the space was enough not to make it look much bigger or smaller.
“And of course, since you are Alpha Louis’ mate, you will probably have your own chef here and your own people to clean your room if you want it. You can ask for help anytime, knowing that you are not used to doing the chores on your own; you can always ask for our help,” Bruno said.
It was a funny thing to Helena because household chores were not new to her during her time as Alana. She was used to doing it, even heavier workloads because most of her family would order her from time to time, and she already got used to it. She even knows how to axe some wood and use it to light the rice.
It was also the reason why she would spend her time in the woods, living alone in the small house she made, when things would get pretty heavy for her and she wanted some alone time. She built it on her own, and she knew that she would always survive in the wild because of that skill of hers.
“I know some chores,” she bragged as she opened her bag of hers and pulled out her clothes so she could now arrange them.
“Really? Knowing that you are Miss Ingrid’s sister…” he concluded.
“I am more than just being Ingrid’s sister,” she explained when she wasn’t comfortable hearing Ingrid’s name being mentioned often in the things that she does.
Bruno had sensed that she became serious and nodded at her.
“I mean, judging on your sister, who screams luxury, I am expecting you are no different from her since you are an Asher too.”
She shook her head, stood up, and put her clothes on the dresser.
“No. We are different,” she said as she put her other clothes on the rack.
Bruno then gave up on mentioning Ingrid and just told her that if she needed help, she just needed to ask. As soon as she was left alone, she sighed heavily and felt the control rage banging against her.
She is highly disappointed that despite the dirt in Ingrid’s hands, she maintained a clean image because of the family she was in. She was rage that there were people who looked at her like she was a goddess who couldn’t do illegal things because she was such an angelic woman and she was built as nice in the eyes of the public.
And she can’t wait to ruin that image. She can’t wait to expose her dirt and the blood behind it. She can’t wait to expose her true colors.
Will they ever still like you if they find out you are a criminal? For sure, you would never walk on this town again with your head high, and you would no longer feel the superiority of being an Ingrid Asher because everyone would only remember you as a bitch and a murderer.
As soon as the girls heard that Alpha Louis had visited, they immediately grinned at Helena, stood up as soon as the teacher went out to talk to him, and started shaking her.“He is here! Oh my god? What could be the possible reason for that?” The girls asked as they crowded her, pulling the other chairs to sit in front of her.The other students were only looking at them for being so chaotic, but at the same time they found it cute that Helena was getting friends. They were all respecting her, and they found her very pretty as well.“He is probably here for another reason?” She reasoned, but the girls hyped her up even more.“Of course not, Helena! Think about it thoroughly. You said that he has always been busy, and yet, now that you were here and he could freely do everything without worrying about you coming home for dinner, here he is, visiting you so early!” Alice hissed, like all of those she is calculating in her head make sense.“Helena, he is now starting to show signals! Helena had so much fun with the pottery that she could already picture out her days in the camp with her newfound friend. She wants to be with them. It was so new to her, and she couldn’t believe that socializing would bring her so much joy. When her first night was slowly approaching, during dinner, the girls went into her room to take the food the cook had cooked for her. She was so delighted that she was treated so well that she invited them to eat with her.“Wow. I didn’t know that there was food that tasted like this. It’s so delicious,” Alice pointed out while they were all squatting at a round table in front of the fireplace, while the snow could be seen pouring through the window. They were wearing ordinary clothes, while it was only Helena who was wearing sweaters.“Is Alpha Louis fine if you will be here for how many days?” Rina asked while shoving food in her mouth.Helena nodded. “I think so. Besides, he is also busy, and he only comes home at night so we can eat dinner to
On the first day that Helena was in the camp, she gained friends right away, like it wasn’t easy to socialize since everyone knows her for being not just an Asher but also as Alpha Louis’ mate.“I’m really shocked. This is the first time he brought a woman here. We thought you were the one whom he was talking about, but maybe he really fell for you to change his mind and introduce you to us instead,” Mica said, also a wolf.“I think he isn’t in love with me. We just have the same reason why we accepted the arrangement since I wanted to help our family and he wanted to grant his grandpa’s wish, which he said,” she explained since she doesn’t want to make too much fuss about it.“Oh! But maybe, later on, you two would develop feelings. It really happens in arrangements, and soon enough, you two might just accept each other.”Helena couldn’t smile. She doesn’t know how to respond to it since her goal is just to get the justice she deserves.“But isn’t it easy to just fall in love with Al

It was the best day ever for Helena, and she felt like she had found a new hope in the middle of the darkness. Although she had no idea what kind of practices she would be able to go through during her stay at the camp, she was bracing for a positive outcome out of it and promised herself she would do great.“I am Bruno. I will be your personal teacher while you are in the camp,” the tan-skinned man with jet-black hair said gently with a sweet smile on his lips.Helena somehow remembered Darren because of his smile and gentleness. She was clearly uncomfortable, and she wanted to ask Louis if he could assign a woman to her instead, but she didn’t want to cause more burden and make Bruno feel like she was disgusted by him.It was just her past heavily intruding that she couldn’t help but feel a little bit uncomfortable. But she was just too desperate to learn that she is willing to adapt to new things, even if it is out of her fear.“In the camp, we are actually classified into three. T
Ingrid’s jaw dropped from what Louis just said. It was so rude from her perspective that she felt she was humiliated in front of him, and the only thing that could save her dignity at that time was to actually go home. She did not expect Louis to suddenly act like that. Although she had heard how foully Louis treats women whom he has no interest in, her ego just couldn’t accept the fact that she was one of those girls he had rudely treated. She could clearly see how hard it is to tame Louis that she just goes home for a while and leaves her sister to Louis, but at the back of her mind, she doesn’t really care about Helena. It was just her act to pretend that she cared, but she didn’t. Not even a bit.She was cursing Helena instead, blaming her for the misfortune she was getting the moment Helena woke up from her coma. It was like she had brought her bad luck that things weren’t going according to what Ingrid planned or wanted.Meanwhile, Helena was already starting to calm down as soo
