Amara had her backpack and a rolling suitcase ready. She is leaving for the train station as she is going from the train to her destination. Marry had managed to book a local ticket for her from her own money and it helped her to save the money for future use.
"Amara, you will become a city girl now!" A five year old Lucas said squealing.
Amara giggled and picked him in her arms. He has become quite heavy and big now because of his growing age. She remembers the day clearly when he too was left near the orphanage one night when he was one and half years old. Since she has taken care of him and felt an unknown connection to him.
"No silly. I will still be this orphanage's girl even when I go to the city." She said and bumped her nose with his playfully.
"You promise to bring toys for me when you come back?" He asked, looking at her with wide hopefully eyes.
"I promise"
She smiled at how his eyes twinkled.
"But don't bring toys for others!" He ordered in his childish voice.
"And why is that?" She asked, pretending to think about it deeply.
"Because you are only my Sister, not theirs!" He stated possessively.
She laughed and kissed his chubby cheeks which became pink instantly. "How about I bring more toys for you than them?" She asked.
"Yes, it will be perfect. They will be jealous of me." He smiled widely showing his toothy grin.
"Amara are you ready?" She heard Emma, her friend, call her.
"Yes I am." She replied.
"Great!" Emma replied. "Marry aunt asked me to drop you at the railway station." She told.
Amara frowned sadly. "Isn't she coming to meet me?" She asked as she made Lucas stand on the ground.
"She said she is busy." Emma told.
"Ohh" Amara said. "I will go and meet her then." She left from there.
She entered the room where Marry usually is. She didn't bother knocking because she knows Marry will ask her to leave anyway.
"Why didn't you come to meet me?" She pouted at her and blinked her eyes.
"You are not the only one in this orphanage who needs me Amara. I also have others to take care of." Marry replied coldly.
"But I just need five minutes of yours." Amara said and went near her. She saw the corner of Marry's eyes filled with tears. "Don't cry Marry, I will come to meet you in holidays and festivals." She told.
"I am not crying." Marry hissed at her. "Something just went in my eyes." She said and rubbed her eyes.
"We both know that's a plain lie." Amara folded her hands and looked at her with an accusing gaze. "You know it won't cause you a penny to say that you will miss me." She smiled at her adorably.
"You brat! Get out before I scoop your ass!" Marry yelled.
Amara frowned hearing her. "You are always ready to scoop me." She said "Do you like my bum-bum, Marry?" She asked with a cheeky smile and shaked her bum a little.
"You brat!!!! Get out!"

Amara and Emma waited for a cab.
"Emma, is your admission in the college confirmed?" Amara asked her.
"It is." Emma said. "It's not a big deal to get admission there since it is a local college."
A sigh left her lips. "You know I will be eighteen soon and after that I need to leave the orphanage. I don't know where to go after that." She said.
Amara stayed silent hearing her. She didn't know what to say or how to console her. It's a rule to leave the orphanage once you turn eighteen. Life after it is harsh as one has to face the outside world alone. God has been kind to her to provide her admission in her dream college and she knows her life will be smooth once she graduates from there after three years.
"You will find a way Emma. God always plans the best for us, have faith in him." Amara smiled at her.
"Right" Emma nodded. "You are going to a new city Amara, a rich city to be precise and you will find so many new people there. What if you fall for someone from your college?" She asked, wriggling her brow in a teasing manner.
A pink hue spread on Amara's cheeks as she blushed like a bloomed rose.
"I am not going there to fall in love with someone." She said, embarrassed.
"I know! But you can't ignore the fact that there will be so many boys there. You are bound to get a tiny crush on someone." Emma teased.
"I will not! Marry will-"
"Scoop your ass if she finds out about it." Emma completed her sentence with a laugh.
Soon a cab came near them and dropped them off at the railway station. Amara and Emma entered inside the platform and saw various trains lined up.
"Which one is yours?" Emma asked.
"My train still has time to come." Amara replied and both took a seat on the empty benches.
"Amara, you have an extra water bottle and lunch, right?" Emma asked.
"I have"
"Good. Don't come out of the train until and unless it's extremely important."
It took around twenty minutes for the train to come and Amara stood up seeing it. "It's my train!" She said excitedly.
"Yes yes now go inside. See the crowd here, you won't get a seat if you don't go fast." Emma told and Amara nodded.
The train stopped and she went inside it quickly, passing through the crowd easily because of her small height and fragile body. She got a window seat for herself.
"Bye Bye!" She smiled and waved at Emma from the window.
The train to her destination has came finally.

"The fuck I am hearing Killian?!" Nathaniel asked with a scowl on his face.
"What happened?" Killian asked him, looking at him with his dark eyes.
"Scarlett is pregnant with your fucking child." NathanielLucas said and everyone got shocked hearing him.
"Damn! Did I become an uncle at such a young age?! Couldn't you control your dick for once Killian? I don't want litter around me calling me a fucking uncle." Aiden groaned as he rubbed his forehead.
"Shut your mouth Aiden. That filth growing in her stomach is not my child. Do you think I will be careless enough to sleep with others without protection?!" Killian spated in anger.
"Protection doesn't always work. What if it's your child?" Derek said and it made Killian go into a deep thinking.
"I will make her abort the child if it's mine." He said and his friends looked at him nodded.
"It will be best." Richard agreed.
"Where is Scarlett? I need to deal with her for real good this time." Killian greeted his teeth.
"I saw her in the auditorium last time." Hayden said and Killian went there fuming in anger.

Scarlett was with her friend, talking with them and smiling when suddenly she saw Killian making his way towards her.
His body language was screaming anger and she became scared.
A gasp left her lips when he slammed her on the wall making her wince in pain. He gripped her cheeks in a tight grip and brought his face dangerously close to her.
"Whose filth are you carrying in your fucking stomach?" He asked with a clenched jaw and she trembled in fright.
"Y-Yours" She shuttered and watched as his eyes darkened.
"I fucking hate liars! Tell me the truth or else I will make your entire family stand on the road!" He growled and dug his nails inside her cheeks painfully making her yelp in pain.
Everyone watched the scene in front of them but no one said anything. Killian Sullivian belongs to a powerful and influential family and no one dares to mess with him. His family has connections everywhere and the one who dares to mess with them is no longer alive.
"I a-am telling the truth! B-believe me." Scarlett cried and struggled against his grip.
"It's y-your child I am carrying but you don't have to do anything w-with it. I will take care of it a-and will never cross paths with you again. Just let me go..please." She pleaded.
He yanked her hair and made her look into his eyes. "Abort it." He said and her eyes widened in fear.
"N-No" She begged. "It's my baby. I won't abort it." She said stubbornly.
"No?" He chuckled humorously and she felt terrified of it. "You think I will let a whore like you carry my child? The woman who will carry my child will be of my standards not a fucking poor girl like you!"
She closed her eyes hearing him. "P-please" She begged.
"You. Will. Abort. This. Bastard." He said darkly.
"I don't care whose child you are carrying, whether it's mine or someone else's. You will abort it today itself. If you didn't then you know very well what I can do." He patted her cheek in a threatening manner and she sobbed bitterly hearing him.
"I will destroy you and your family completely."

The next day, Amara woke up later than usual, panic setting in the moment she glanced at the time. She rushed through her morning routine and bolted out of the house, barely managing to reach college just before the professor arrived. As she stepped into the classroom, her steps faltered.Zander was already seated. On her desk. Zander looked up, as if sensing her presence. Her body tensed, breath catching as her eyes locked with his for a brief moment. He sat there like he owned the space, back straight, one arm resting lazily over the desk. His eyes were on her, dark, calm and unreadable. She immediately dropped her gaze, her throat tightening as the memory of his threats from yesterday twisted in her gut like a warning. Without thinking, she turned to find another seat. But just as she took a step away, the Professor's voice halted her. “Amara,” The Professor called her out. “Go sit down. You’re already late, don’t waste more time.”She hesitated, frozen in place as every pair o
"I-I..." she stammered, shrinking back into the wall as if trying to melt into it. Her throat tightened, and the words died before they could escape, swallowed by the fear that gripped her entirely. Every inch of her screamed to vanish, to be anywhere but here.A muscle in Zayden's jaw ticked, his forehead taut with restrained fury, the air between them thick with tension."Why the fuck are you always around me?" Zander hissed, his voice low, strained, like a thread pulled too tight, ready to snap. His hands were still braced on either side of her against the wall, caging her in, but it wasn’t just the physical space he had cornered her into, it was emotional too, suffocating for her.She trembled, her back flat against the wall. Her wide eyes darted up to meet his, but she wished they hadn't, because what stared back at her wasn’t just anger. It was something darker and unstable.“I-I didn’t mean—” she whispered, voice barely audible.“Don’t.” He snapped before she could finish. “Don
Amara gently stirred the vegetables simmering in the pan, her breakfast now, and inevitably her lunch later. Mornings were the only time she had to cook as once she got back from college, there was barely a moment to spare before heading to her part-time job at Aiden’s office. It was just past seven, and with most of her morning chores already done, she finally had a quiet moment to eat and gather herself before the long day ahead.Just as Amara closed the lid of the pan, her phone rang. She frowned, wondering who would be calling this early in the morning.Wiping her hands on the towel, she walked over to the couch and picked up her phone, only to see the name of the orphanage flashing on the screen. Her heart skipped a beat as she answered it immediately."Hello—""Amara!" Lucas's loud voice burst through the speaker, making her flinch. Her face tensed in alarm, heart racing with fear that something had happened."Lucas? What happened? Are you oka—""I’m so happy, Amara! The gifts y
Men are foolishly brave creatures. They confuse silence with surrender. Mistake absence for weakness. And when the devil disappears for a while, they start to believe he's no longer a threat. Changed by marriage. But the devil doesn't change.Killian had only taken a pause from the mafia world, for Kiara, for his daughter who had become the center of his universe. He hadn't touched a gun or spilled blood in months. Hadn't reminded the world of the name that once made grown men piss their pants in boardrooms and alleyways alike. And that was all it took for the rats to crawl out of the cracks. They thought his silence meant submission. They mistook his distance for defeat. And in their arrogance, they dared to mess with him. They fucking dared to betray him.A shipment worth ten million was intercepted, diverted from its original path, and handed over to his rival. Life is unpredictable, it rarely unfolds the way we envision. If it did, Amara would be enjoying her college life right now, laughing between lectures, chasing deadlines, building a future she once dreamed of. Getting into this college had been everything to her. But now, it felt like nothing more than a burden. Somewhere along the way, her dreams had changed. Education no longer topped her list of priorities. Now, all she cared about was money. She needed it, desperately. Not for herself, but for Lucas. To adopt him, to secure his future, to give him the kind of life she once longed for. In him, she saw herself. The same spark. The same innocence. A bubbly little boy who still looked at the world with wide, hopeful eyes. For a moment, a small smile touched her lips just thinking about him. But it vanished just as quickly as it came. Because behind that smile was a truth she could never escape, Lucas had suffered because of her. And no matter how much she tried to make it rig
Amara pursed her lips, frowning at Aiden as she crossed her arms. "I'm not doing that," she stated, her voice firm. "You will." His tone left no room for argument, his sharp gaze making it clear he wasn't interested in excuses. "This isn't part of my job!" "I'm the boss, Amara. I decide what your job includes," he countered, his expression unwavering. "And I want you there. 10 AM. No exceptions." "I never agreed to this." "Too bad." His voice was final. "I pay you to follow my instructions, and this is part of your work conditions." That was yesterday. Today, on Sunday, her only day off from both college and work, Amara found herself standing outside a therapist's office, staring at the door like it was some kind of trap. Not because she had chosen to be here. Not because she thought she needed help. But because Aiden ordered her to. Apparently, since she worked for him, that somehow made her mental health his responsibility. As if she were a problem that needed fix
