Amara gently stirred the vegetables simmering in the pan, her breakfast now, and inevitably her lunch later. Mornings were the only time she had to cook as once she got back from college, there was barely a moment to spare before heading to her part-time job at Aiden’s office. It was just past seven, and with most of her morning chores already done, she finally had a quiet moment to eat and gather herself before the long day ahead.

Just as Amara closed the lid of the pan, her phone rang. She frowned, wondering who would be calling this early in the morning.

Wiping her hands on the towel, she walked over to the couch and picked up her phone, only to see the name of the orphanage flashing on the screen. Her heart skipped a beat as she answered it immediately.

"Hello—"

"Amara!" Lucas's loud voice burst through the speaker, making her flinch. Her face tensed in alarm, heart racing with fear that something had happened.

"Lucas? What happened? Are you oka—"

"I’m so happy, Amara! The gifts y

  • Revenge, Regret And Redemption: Bound In Contract Marriage   Chapter 81

"I-I..." she stammered, shrinking back into the wall as if trying to melt into it. Her throat tightened, and the words died before they could escape, swallowed by the fear that gripped her entirely. Every inch of her screamed to vanish, to be anywhere but here.A muscle in Zayden's jaw ticked, his forehead taut with restrained fury, the air between them thick with tension."Why the fuck are you always around me?" Zander hissed, his voice low, strained, like a thread pulled too tight, ready to snap. His hands were still braced on either side of her against the wall, caging her in, but it wasn’t just the physical space he had cornered her into, it was emotional too, suffocating for her.She trembled, her back flat against the wall. Her wide eyes darted up to meet his, but she wished they hadn't, because what stared back at her wasn’t just anger. It was something darker and unstable.“I-I didn’t mean—” she whispered, voice barely audible.“Don’t.” He snapped before she could finish. “Don

Men are foolishly brave creatures. They confuse silence with surrender. Mistake absence for weakness. And when the devil disappears for a while, they start to believe he's no longer a threat. That he's turned soft. Distracted by fatherhood. Changed by marriage. But the devil doesn't change.Killian had only taken a pause from the mafia world, for Kiara, for his daughter who had become the center of his universe. He hadn't touched a gun or spilled blood in months. Hadn't reminded the world of the name that once made grown men piss their pants in boardrooms and alleyways alike. And that was all it took for the rats to crawl out of the cracks. They thought his silence meant submission. They mistook his distance for defeat. And in their arrogance, they dared to mess with him. They fucking dared to betray him.A shipment worth ten million was intercepted, diverted from its original path, and handed over to his rival. Rafael Martinez. An open declaration of war from that bastard. And Killia

Life is unpredictable, it rarely unfolds the way we envision. If it did, Amara would be enjoying her college life right now, laughing between lectures, chasing deadlines, building a future she once dreamed of. Getting into this college had been everything to her. But now, it felt like nothing more than a burden. Somewhere along the way, her dreams had changed. Education no longer topped her list of priorities. Now, all she cared about was money. She needed it, desperately. Not for herself, but for Lucas. To adopt him, to secure his future, to give him the kind of life she once longed for. In him, she saw herself. The same spark. The same innocence. A bubbly little boy who still looked at the world with wide, hopeful eyes. For a moment, a small smile touched her lips just thinking about him. But it vanished just as quickly as it came. Because behind that smile was a truth she could never escape, Lucas had suffered because of her. And no matter how much she tried to make it rig

Amara pursed her lips, frowning at Aiden as she crossed her arms. "I'm not doing that," she stated, her voice firm. "You will." His tone left no room for argument, his sharp gaze making it clear he wasn't interested in excuses. "This isn't part of my job!" "I'm the boss, Amara. I decide what your job includes," he countered, his expression unwavering. "And I want you there. 10 AM. No exceptions." "I never agreed to this." "Too bad." His voice was final. "I pay you to follow my instructions, and this is part of your work conditions." That was yesterday. Today, on Sunday, her only day off from both college and work, Amara found herself standing outside a therapist's office, staring at the door like it was some kind of trap. Not because she had chosen to be here. Not because she thought she needed help. But because Aiden ordered her to. Apparently, since she worked for him, that somehow made her mental health his responsibility. As if she were a problem that needed fix

What are the chances of a cold, emotionless man becoming the most devoted and protective father imaginable?Surprisingly high.Fatherhood reshapes a man, for better or worse, it either makes him whole or shatters him completely. And in Killian’s case, his daughter's existence didn’t just change his life, it redefined him. It was something rare, profoundly beautiful, and so deeply connected that even the devil himself would crave a touch of it.Then who was Killian to deny the birth of something so beautiful in his life? He was no one, not in the face of the innocent love that consumed him so effortlessly. He had surrendered himself to his daughter completely, an unbreakable bond that neither time nor fate could sever. It was evening, and Killian had decided to take his daughter out for some fresh air. So here they were, in the garden, with Kiara nestled in her baby stroller, the soft rustle of the evening breeze around them. He walked until they reached a quiet, secluded spot, his st

  • Revenge, Regret And Redemption: Bound In Contract Marriage   Chapter 75

Amara's face drained of color as she saw him standing there, Killian, after so many days. His mere presence seemed to pull her back into the darkness she had tried to escape. One glance at him, and all the strength she had gathered vanished, leaving her vulnerable, helpless, as if his very existence had the power to steal her will to fight.“Killian!” Aiden's sharp voice cut through the thick air. She watched as Killian turned to face him, his presence looming like a storm cloud.“What are you doing here?” Aiden demanded, taking a step closer towards him. Amara couldn’t see Killian’s expression, but the tightness in his body was unmistakable, like a coiled spring ready to snap.“Aiden,” Killian's voice was low, filled with something she couldn’t quite place. “I saw her, Amara. Just now—”Amara didn’t catch the rest of his words, her attention immediately drawn to Aiden, who locked eyes with her, sending a silent command through the sharpness of his gaze. She frowned when he sent a su

Amara’s first day at Aiden’s office felt like stepping into an entirely different world. The building was a towering masterpiece, its sleek design and endless floors commanding attention even from a distance. Inside, the sheer number of employees moving with purpose, the hum of activity, and the opulence of the space left her momentarily speechless. She had known Aiden was rich but this went far beyond her expectations. It wasn’t just wealth; it was power and influence on a scale she hadn’t imagined, the kind that belonged to billionaires. And she didn't expect Aiden to be a billionaire. It had been a week since Aiden had offered her the job and asked her to start today. Now, here she was, standing at the reception, utterly clueless about where to go next. Her fingers tightened around the fabric of her dress as embarrassment crept in. The other employees looked like they had stepped straight off a runway, their outfits exuding elegance and likely costing more than anything she had ev

Amara had moved on in her life, so easily, so boldly, so fiercely. She didn’t let the scars of her past hurt her, didn’t let the painful memories hold her back, and didn’t let the trauma stop her from moving toward her future. It was easy, wasn’t it?At least, that’s what she let the world believe. She wore her facade like a second skin, carrying it with grace and brilliance. The smile on her lips never faltered, masking the storm brewing behind her eyes. It was her armor, her way of keeping prying eyes from wandering too close, from seeing the cracks she so desperately tried to hide. To everyone watching, she seemed unshaken and strong. But the truth was far different, far more painful. It wasn’t easy. It never had been. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, not now and not ever. Because if it truly were, the scars wouldn’t still pierce through her soul, their sharp edges reminding her of every wound she had endured. The memories wouldn’t linger like ghosts, whispering in her ears and draggi
