5. Kidnapping

Kalina's POV

"Alva, where are you?!" I ran into the forest, trying to find Alva's whereabouts, she said she had sneaked after me and got robbed here, so she ran into the forest. Before she could say the exact location, the phone went off and the machine is disconnected.

Now it's too late to call the rescue team because my phone has lost signal, and the only way is to find Alva myself before she gets lost too deep into the forest, luckily this place is not available beasts, so the only scary thing is the bandits.

My sister, I hope she won't get hurt even the slightest scratch, I shouldn't have made her enjoy traveling in the first place.

I was crying and wandering in the forest, calling Alva all the time, but no one answered. Suddenly, I saw traces left behind and crept up to follow, these marks showed that its owner was very calm, not like a panicked person like Alva.

Given that the bandits were in front of me, I think I had to be careful, even if I hadn't found my sister, finding them wouldn't be a bad idea.

After a while, I saw two people talking, because it was too far away so I couldn't hear clearly, and they didn't turn on the lights. I find it very strange, if you want to find someone, you have to turn on the flashlight...

Or maybe I was mistaken, these two are simply a couple walking around. Seeing no danger I decided to go ahead and ask them about my sister's whereabouts, however, the ones in front of me were James and Alva's friend Ivy.

“What the hell are you two doing here? Where's Alva?!” I asked angrily.

Ivy looked at James stiffly, looking very confused. In the end, James still had to explain everything.

“Alva is over there preparing the barbecue… Sorry, we wanted to surprise you so we called you here this way.”

… All right, “Hurry and take me to Alva!”

I finally got to see Alva, and the stone in my heart was poured down, replaced with unspeakable anger. Is she crazy?

“Just because you want me to eat barbecue with you, you do this to me?!” I couldn't help but shout at Alva.

She looked scared, and obviously didn't expect things to turn out like this when she saw my struggling looks.

“I'm sorry…” Alva whispered, looking like she was about to cry. Did I scare her to cry? No, it's me who cried!

James took off his overcoat and put it on me, I immediately threw it on the ground, and aggressively back to the hotel despite them calling me back.

I really wanted to ask how much weight my emotions weighed in their eyes, but in the end, I was still afraid of the answer. Obviously, if it was before, I wouldn't have many feelings for Alva, but ever since I got home I've really considered her a little sister, if she disappeared I'd be scared.

That day I cried all night, Alva called me many times but I turned off the phone, the next morning it was not unexpected that I had a cold.

Does Alva think I'll let her take care of me? I do not need that.

"Leave me alone." Alva was forced to leave after this sentence.

About two days later I completely recovered from my illness but felt a bit empty, Alva should have found me to apologize, but somehow she didn't contact me.

… I don't care, this time it's clearly not my fault.

After waiting three more days, I still didn't hear from Alva, so I called my mother.

“Mom, is Alva home?”

My mother casually said: "No, she has been volunteering with friends for a few days, do you have something to say?"

“I…” I was about to talk about Alva coming over to me, and then because I was worried she would get scolded, I just said, “I have nothing to do, just asking, bye mom.” I then hung up immediately to avoid my mother asking why I didn't call Alva directly.

I kept calling Alva and Ivy all day, but no one answered, and my insecurities grew, forcing me to call James. While dialing, my hand was shaking so much that I almost dropped the phone, if he didn't answer the phone, I don't know what to do.

It's best that no one makes fun of me again, otherwise, I won't be able to forgive even if that person is Alva.

"Hello?"

Hearing James' voice I immediately calmed down, saying, "Hey, have you seen Alva? I kept calling her to no avail."

“Alva is at my place, it must be because she went shopping all day without carrying her phone that she didn't pick up.”

“Ah…” I don't know what else to say, something really bad is going on, doesn't even Ivy carry a cell phone with her?

"If there's nothing, I'll hang up-"

"Wait!" I almost couldn't keep my composure and shouted, seeing that I was overreacting, so I said softly: “I want to talk about the night before with Alva, can I go there and wait for her? "

I could clearly see James hesitate, but he tried to answer me right away: “Ah, erm, o-okay, of course.” Then tell me the address, it's a pretty nearby hotel, it's just that it's not very popular.

Knock Knock knock-

"I'll be right out." James spoke out, and soon I saw his warm face.

"Go inside, she'll be back in a little while." James invited me into his room and poured me a glass of warm water.

I looked around, the room was as clean as his house, not at all like a hotel room. On top of that, I don't have the slightest feeling that Alva was ever here.

Pretending to drink some warm water, I blurt out: "Which room is Ivy in?"

"She's in the next room."

Suddenly I clutched my stomach and hurriedly said, "I'll go to the bathroom!" Then immediately run to the bathroom, and turn on the faucet to drown out the noise inside.

I repeatedly dug into the depths of my throat, forcing myself to vomit all the water from earlier. Obviously, I'm having trouble sleeping, it's impossible to feel sleepy in this case, James must have put the anesthetic in there.

That bastard, he kidnapped my sister!

After sitting on the sofa for a long time, I put my phone away and slowly fell asleep. Not unexpectedly, James came over to check if I was awake, saw that I was sleeping like the dead, and immediately called someone.

“Successful, let's send the car back to pick up me. Huh, you don't want to come back? But this is a young girl, we will have a lot more money!”

I slowly picked up the vase on the table.

"That's right, I'll bring her down in about an hour, remember to be on time."

Waiting for him to hang up I hit him on the head with a vase of flowers, James- no, maybe his name is not James, this trafficker defenselessly fell to the ground. He was motionless for a long time, the blood didn't stop flowing, and he probably wouldn't wake up for another hour.

I searched his body and found another pistol, with a phone and this gun, I did not hesitate to go downstairs to wait for his accomplices to find it. However I made a mistake in my hurry, his accomplice heard the phone ring.

The moment the two of us made eye contact, the guy immediately got in the car and ran away. I was so scared that I fired two bullets at the car but it didn't work, on the contrary, it made everyone nearby hear the gunshots.

“Tch!” I went back to the kidnapper's room, okay, let's call him James for now. I tied James up, treated his wound, and waited for him to wake up.

Meanwhile, the police are also coming, it's just that they say it will take a while because the police are busy dispersing the crowd at the tourist area. F*ck, I forgot today is the day of the event, everyone is flocking to one place so security has to be increased there, my problem even if the police want to help they can't do it right away.

Hmm… I went in and got a bowl of cold water and threw it on James' head, luckily it worked even though he was pretty badly injured.

"If Alva doesn't come home, I'll kill you!"

James did not waver at my threats, he seemed to think that I did not dare to kill people or that he was too used to threats like this. Either way, does he think he can get away with it himself?

Never, I won't allow that to happen. I took the shard of the vase and stabbed it into James' thigh causing him to scream in pain, finally breaking his warm exterior.

James cursed me like a who*e, he kept talking and giving me a headache, so I gave him a few slaps. My hand started to hurt, James didn't dare to say anything but just stared at me like he was going to kill me.

This is his true gaze, what a cold-blooded one.

“Last time, where was Alva?” I shoved the barrel of the gun into his mouth, only like this James rolled his eyes in panic.

He cried and said, “I was wrong, please forgive me. Alva is currently on her way to the border, the transaction will be done by tomorrow morning, please spare me, I will do whatever it takes to get her home!”

“…” I didn't say anything but studied his gaze, it seemed that the first words were true, but the fact that he would bring Alva back was clearly a fantasy. But if I kill James, I don't know where Alva is...

Finally, I reluctantly took James to chase the car just now. This is my first time breaking the law but I don't have any guilt feelings, my insecurity must have overpowered everything.
