Luther In Shock

WHITNEY'S POV

I tossed and turned throughout the night as I found it difficult to sleep. Occasionally, I fell asleep but when I did, I had a series of nightmares in which I saw myself as a destitute walking up and down in rags in an unfamiliar city and with a protruding tummy.

Throughout the night, I glanced at the table clock each time I woke up from sleep even though I set the alarm on the clock.

When it was getting to dawn, I drifted off into a deep sleep, and at exactly 5 o'clock, the alarm rang waking me up from my sleep.

I reached out and stopped the alarm. I rubbed my eyes as I was lying on the bed and thought of what I was about to do.

Usually, I wake up by 5:30 a.m to get prepared and start my morning chores, however, I set the time earlier than usual because I will be going to meet Luther this morning and confront him concerning my pregnancy.
