NARRATIVE POV Shortly after, Tia and Miles opened up the pack to start accepting new pack members. First in line were two rogues named Johnny and Dave. They were misguided in the past, and have answered for their wrongs. Meadow saved them for a reason all those months ago, and since joining, Johnny has proven himself to be an incredible warrior trainer.Dave was a bit more nurturing and soft compared to Johnny, so he requested to oversee the production of the crops. As a pup, Dave always enjoyed gardening with his grandparents before everyone passed on, and he turned rogue. For him, reconnecting with nature brought a sense of belonging and nostalgia to his restless soul.“We are making a stopover at the New Dawn pack on our way home.” Sarah smiled as she sipped her tea.“Oh? It’s been a little while since I reached out. Could you give them my best? Once the twins are born, I plan to have them all here, and you three are invited.” Tia winks at baby Elliot as she speaks. The New Dawn p
NARRATIVE POV ( 6 months later)Tia and Miles quickly settled into the Cherry Ridge pack. They were both eager to start fresh and build the pack they both desired. One that gave hope and second chances to those who needed help.“Tee, Ty and Sarah are pulling up. Are you ready?” Miles called out as he helped his four-month pregnant wife to her feet.It was a complicated pregnancy, with the stress of building a pack from the ground up, recruiting members and now carrying twins, all in such a short time. Tia has been stressed.Tia groaned. “You’re lucky they’re twins, because now I can cut you off since there is more than one.” She mumbled, causing Miles to grin.“Is my sexy Queen grumpy today?” he teased, earning himself a playful glare.“Keep it up, and you are cut off, Mister!” she shot back, causing them both to laugh.“Just a few more months, baby. After that, we will be holding our two precious babies, and you will forget all about the swollen ankles, the sore back and the bladder
NARRATIVE POVHis closest childhood friend, Alpha, his brother in arms, was fighting for his life, and there was nothing that Beta Leo could do about it. The mirror was solid; he could not enter the dark realm where his Alpha was trapped.“Dark Sister”, Beta Leo murmured. It had to be her doing. He stood there, helpless. Watching the man he’d respected most being torn to shreds before his very eyes. The screams seemed to echo; no doubt that they would haunt him for years to come.“Ben!” Beta Leo cried out. He was desperate to aid him, but was lost in how to achieve it.The image began to fade, and Beta Leo’s face reflected back to him. It was full of tears and pain. Never had he felt so helpless in his life, and the feeling of failing his Alpha pressed down on him.But all that raw emotion froze cold within him the moment he realized there was a second reflection in the mirror.A mysterious female figure. Her hair was long, black as night. Her face was as pale as the moon. There was a
NARRATIVE POVThe warriors of the Ravens’ Peak pack shuffled with a heavy sense of unease. It was weighing on them all. First, they went against their instincts as many of their comrades marched against a blessed pack. It brought doom and despair to the entire pack as a result. This wasn’t the typical tales of Dark Sister. No, this punishment was designed to starve and break down the foundation of the pack entirely. This wasn’t a simple act of vengeance against those directly involved; no, they were all suffering as a result. Now, they stood there, trembling because not only was the Goddess upset, spreading sickness throughout the once wealthy and prideful pack, but now the Council Elite warriors were marching into the borderlines. The pack was about to be seized for treason, and there was nothing that any of them could do about it.There was no simple “I didn’t do it” response acceptable at this stage of everything.Beta Leo watched in disbelief as everything began to unravel. He kne
ALPHA ROLLINGSI could see my office through the mirror opening. I could see, but I could not return. The mirror was solid again, and my outstretched hand was met with the block of the solid-looking glass surface. All I could do was watch. The shuffling and snarls of hungry wolves behind me drew my attention away from the mirror. Where was I? I knew I was in her realm, but the question is, where? This was the opposite of the Meadow and paradise we are told as pups.It was dark, too dark, yet there was moonlight. Just enough to allow one to see their surroundings. It was a tool to instill fear in those who were pulled in, and I must admit, I was afraid. Before me was a moonlit stone path. There were rabid snarling wolves on either side of this path, and it led to only one place—her throne. There was no other direction permitted. If you were in her realm, you stepped forward and knelt before her. You were to plead your case, and she would determine your fate. The sight of her wicked wol
ALPHA ROLLINGSThe council needs Hilary found, but despite our efforts, she was nowhere to be seen. It was as if she had just suddenly poofed and disappeared. Had I known she was this slimy and good at hiding, I would have kept a better watch over her. I had underestimated her. That seemed to be a running theme with me lately.I kept underestimating people, and it consistently landed me in hot water. It started with the poker game. I underestimated that kid and lost control over my pack. Despite still keeping my title and remaining the figurehead of this pack, Alpha Kane Davis held the real power, and I couldn’t find a way out of it. Then Delta Allan Price arrived, and my hands were tied. I had to introduce him as a cousin and give him rank within my pack. There was nothing more insulting to an Alpha than this type of backdoor play. It was a flex from Alpha Kane; he was reminding me that I was just one of his many puppets. Then the attack of the Cherry Ridge pack happened. I also had
