NARRATIVE POV

The roar of excitement and greed fills the surrounding area, and Kane looks up to the sky with a smile. He hoped she was watching because he didn’t plan to hold back when he marched his warriors and Alphas into the Slaughtered Lambs pack; he would claim the territory that was rightfully his, and he’d claim his new Luna and breeders.

As the Alphas of the packs under Kane's extortion arrived, the rogue mercenaries simmered down and took stock of the expressions of the established packs. Rogues and pack members were often instinctual enemies. It felt taboo to associate with one another, but today, the pack warriors had no choice, and the rogues were paid handsome sums to follow Kane’s orders.

“Alphas,” Kane smirked as he took in the faces of the Alphas we forced to yield. “It is about time you all arrived. I was starting to think none of you wished to continue leading your packs. Don’t forget what is at stake, gentlemen.”
