JENN'S POV

Charlotte was pregnant.

Now that I'd voiced it out loud, the signs were there and obvious. There was no need for a test. When you lived in a large home with a lot of couples, the signs of pregnancy became familiar. The mood swings, the appetite. She had even gained a little weight.

In all honesty, I wasn't sure whether to be happy or terrified. It was huge, like she said, and it was the wrong time. I knew she was living in denial now, she still hoped the test would come out negative. She was troubled. Pregnancy wasn't the best thing to show itself while people were in the middle of running for their lives. But for me that was only half the problem.
