I took the death report and examined it carefully.

In my previous life, because everything happened so suddenly, I had been completely panicked.

I just kept insisting that my rescue had been successful, never bothering to examine the so-called evidence Marcus presented.

This time, I wouldn't make the same mistake.

The cause of death listed was the same as my previous life—death due to delayed rescue efforts.

But I quickly spotted the inconsistencies.

I pointed to the institution that issued the autopsy report. "Marcus, the victim died at our pack's forest border. The autopsy report should have been issued by our pack's medical team."

"Even if you don't trust our pack, you should have gone to another authoritative pack or professional verification institution. What's the point of getting some random small clinic to issue a death certificate?"

"Furthermore, I wasn't the only warrior who participated in last night's rescue!"

The moment I finished speaking, the medic who had participated in last night's rescue quickly grabbed the death report to examine it.

With just one glance, the medic said angrily: "Death due to delayed rescue? That's complete nonsense!"

"The forest has always been crawling with rogue wolves. We've repeatedly warned all civilians not to venture to the forest borders carelessly."

"A pregnant Omega went there in the middle of the night, and we already deployed most of our warriors for the rescue! But there were too many rogues—it took us a long time to drive them off. How is that delayed rescue?"

"I think you're just trying to extort our Border Guard!"

Marcus seemed to have anticipated this scene and showed no surprise.

He deflected, avoiding the death report issue entirely, and instead pointed at me and roared: "How is it not delayed rescue? Last night when my lieutenant tried to contact Jenna through the mind-link, she refused to deploy for the rescue!"

"I went to her office last night and begged her for a long time, but she still wouldn't participate in the rescue! My lieutenant can testify to this!"

"Two lives were lost! Which one of you dares to say Jenna didn't deliberately refuse to go rescue them?"

Since it involved human lives, none of the warriors dared guarantee anything for me.

Seeing this, a flash of triumph appeared in Marcus's eyes as he said to his followers: "Grab Jenna! I'm going to teach this demon a proper lesson for Scarlett and her pup!"

I remained expressionless as I said: "Wait. What you just said doesn't constitute evidence to accuse me!"

"Alpha should be arriving soon. When Alpha gets here, I'll use my authority as Head Warrior to request an autopsy investigation."

"By the way, I have to ask you—you're my mate, so what's your relationship with my best friend? Who authorized you to dispose of her body without permission last night?"

Before Marcus could answer, an aged voice suddenly came from the back of the crowd: "I authorized it."

Scarlett's parents walked in together with Alpha Donovan.

Upon seeing me, Scarlett's father immediately slapped me across the face.

The slap was delivered with tremendous force, leaving a clear handprint on my cheek.

"Jenna! My wife and I have always treated you well! Is this how you repay us?"

"The reason you didn't participate in the rescue was because you were high on wolfsbane!"

"It's bad enough that you normally use wolfsbane, but I never thought you'd be drugged even while on duty, causing Scarlett and her unborn pup to die!"

He then turned to face Alpha, putting on an expression of heartbreak: "Alpha! I want to report her for using wolfsbane while executing rescue missions. The packets should be in her weapons vault storage locker."

Hearing the exact same words as my previous life, I pressed my tongue against the side of my face that had been struck, unconsciously clenching my fists before relaxing them.

I had been an orphan since childhood. Scarlett's parents had been kind to me when I was young, so I had always treated them like my biological parents. After becoming Head Warrior and earning money, I bought them cars and houses.

This was the man I had honored and supported like my own father!

Except for Marcus's group, everyone stared at me in shock.

Alpha's guards, following Scarlett's father's tip, quickly found the empty wolfsbane packets in my weapons vault storage locker.

The moment those packets were brought out, everyone's expressions instantly shifted from shock to contempt and anger.

The warriors who had been standing beside me protectively immediately distanced themselves.

Marcus couldn't hide his smugness as he said to me: "Jenna, the evidence is right here. What else do you have to say?"

At that moment, I actually laughed softly, then stretched out my finger to point at Scarlett's father, then at Marcus.

"Alpha, I want to report them for framing me!"

The dramatic reversal at the Pack Tribunal kept the "wolfsbane conspiracy case" as the main topic of conversation throughout the territory for an entire week.【Absolutely disgusting—what kind of vile scum are these? They deserve to burn in the underworld.】【Even poisonous serpents don't eat their own young! This female wolf is an insult to the sacred word "mother"—death was too merciful!】【May the Moon Goddess eternally punish this family of traitors!】Reading these messages through the pack's communication crystals, I thought of my previous life when I was the one being attacked by the entire territory.I suddenly felt that letting Scarlett die so easily was far too merciful for her.I should have let her live.Only by living could she truly taste all the suffering and torment I endured in my past life.Marcus was ultimately sentenced to fifteen years of exile for "conspiracy and evidence tampering."Though his punishment was only half of what I had suffered in my previous life, I kne

As soon as Attorney Ethan finished speaking, Scarlett's father immediately stood up, excitedly refuting:"Are you saying that Scarlett would risk her own life to frame her best friend? What reason would she have to do such a thing?""I say this is Jenna trying to escape punishment by adding wolfsbane herself, attempting to frame Scarlett.""After all, how can a dead wolf defend herself? Isn't this just allowing certain people to throw mud around freely!"I chuckled softly. "Don't get excited yet!""Wait until Attorney Ethan finishes presenting all the evidence. If you still have questions then, it won't be too late to ask!"Attorney Ethan remained completely unaffected, methodically producing the second piece of evidence. This was surveillance footage captured by the crystal recorder in our home. The crystal recording clearly documented the entire process of Scarlett dripping wolfsbane extract into the energy supplement. After viewing the recording, Marcus and Scarlett's parents all lo

Before the public tribunal, I saw Marcus and my adoptive parents. They would also attend this tribunal as the victim's family members.Seeing me in prisoner's garb, Marcus spoke with false regret:"Head Warrior Jenna, if you had confessed earlier, this matter might not have spread throughout the territories!""During the tribunal, repent properly - maybe you'll earn some sympathy!"Looking at the self-satisfied man across from me, I sneered inwardly. In my previous life, Scarlett and Marcus had spread this case throughout the territories to seize my inheritance and be together without worry. They not only wanted to completely destroy my social standing but also used public opinion to pressure the pack council and courts into giving me a heavy sentence.Even after I was imprisoned, I was targeted and despised by all other prisoners because of this case. The guards turned a blind eye to it all.The bitter fruit I tasted in my previous life - this time I would make them taste it thoroughl

I was taken by Alpha's guards for blood testing. As we walked, curious pack members pressed against windows to stare. Some whispered behind their hands. Others openly glared with disgust and disappointment. While waiting for the test results, Scarlett's mother suddenly came to sit beside me.Her tone had lost the morning's sharp bitterness, becoming extraordinarily gentle and sincere:"Jenna, listen to auntie. Confess before the results come out!"Her hand reached out tentatively, then stopped just short of touching my arm."About what happened to Scarlett and her precious pup, I know deep in my heart you didn't mean for things to turn out this way.""You were probably just confused, maybe the wolfsbane affected your judgment. These things happen to the best warriors.""Don't worry, sweetheart. As long as you confess voluntarily and show proper remorse, we'll write you a full letter of forgiveness."Hearing this, I turned to look at Scarlett's mother. In my previous life, before the te

My words once again shocked everyone present.Scarlett's father's face went from pale to flushed, his chest heaving violently like a cornered animal. His scent betrayed his panic - sharp, acrid fear mixed with desperation.Seeing this, Scarlett's mother immediately rushed forward. Her weathered hands shook as she pointed her finger directly at my nose."Jenna! Do you have any conscience left?" Her voice cracked with rage, spittle flying from her lips."It wasn't enough that you killed Scarlett and her innocent pup! Now you want to falsely accuse her father too?"Her wolf was so close to the surface that her eyes flickered between human brown and wild amber. The other warriors instinctively stepped back from her fury. But I didn't flinch. I had faced worse storms than this bitter old woman's wrath.Marcus quickly moved to Scarlett's mother's side. His hand landed on her shoulder with practiced ease, like he'd done this countless times before."Please, don't get upset over this worthles
