LOGINKimberly stomped into her bedroom and slammed the door shut with a deafening BANG.
Hands jammed firmly onto her waist, she began furiously pacing back and forth across the hardwood floor. “What is wrong with this Finnick Kruger?!” she fumed aloud to her empty room. “I’ve read dozens of trope-heavy web novels, and what kind of ‘uncle’ character doesn’t ruthlessly fight and scheme to steal his nephew’s girl? I’m literally trapped inside a romance book, so why on earth is Finnick Kruger being so ridiculously principled?!” She scoffed, a dark, determined glint flashing in her eyes. “No way. I’m not letting this go. For the greater good of my sanity, and my revenge plot, I have to get on Finnick Kruger’s pirate ship. He is my only ticket to laying waste to every single villain in this house.” A mischievous, shameless grin slowly spread across her face. “And I will definitely make him mine,” she whispered to herself. “I finally transmigrated into a romance novel, so I might as well enjoy the luxury tax. I’m rewriting this plot my way. Finn, Finn, Finn... you have power, wealth, lethal looks, and I bet... you’re absolutely packed under that suit.” She giggled, her cheeks flushing a bright pink as her imagination ran wild. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! A violent bang rattled her bedroom door, making her flinch out of her fantasy. “Kimberly Holland! Get out here right now! Open this damn door!” Theo Kruger’s voice boomed through the hallway. Kimberly let out a long, exhausted sigh, rolling her eyes to the ceiling. ‘Right. In these melodrama novels, a single day somehow stretches on for an eternity. What does this absolute piece of trash want at my door at this hour?’ The pounding continued unabated. Rolling her shoulders back, she strutted to the door and yanked it open. Standing on the threshold was a red-faced, furious Theo Kruger, flanked by a smugly composed Vivian Holland. “You bitch!” Theo pointed a trembling, enraged finger right at Kimberly’s face. “I think you’re actively begging for a beating! Allowing you to raise Vivian’s child was an act of mercy, a favor to your barren self! How dare you turn around and report me to my uncle?!” Vivian immediately dropped her smug look, her face twisting into a picture of fragile, heartbreaking innocence. “Sister...” Vivian squeaked out, her voice trembling as she wiped away non-existent tears. “Are you really that consumed by jealousy just because I’m carrying Theo’s baby? Using Uncle’s authority to force me into an abortion... how could you be so wicked?” She delicately placed both hands over her lower stomach, sniffling for maximum dramatic effect. “This is Theo’s own flesh and blood! How could you be so heartless?!” Kimberly casually leaned against the doorframe, twirling a strand of her hair around her finger with a look of profound boredom. Theo’s face contorted with disdain. “You actually dare to threaten my child?! I’ll kill you first!” He raised a fist and lunged directly at her. Kimberly didn’t even flinch. She simply took a smooth step back and delivered a lightning-fast, bone-crushing kick straight up between his legs. THWACK! Theo let out a strangled, high-pitched gasp. His eyes bulged out of his head as he instantly doubled over, clutching his groin in agonizing shock, stumbling backward on useless legs. “Theo!” Vivian gasped in horror, scrambling to catch his collapsing frame before he hit the floor. “What a pathetic pair of disgusting trash!” Kimberly sneered, launching into a full-on unhinged rant. “Listening to your bizarre, brain-rotted logic makes my ears bleed! Forcing the legal wife to raise the mistress’s bastard child? How dare you even breathe that idea into existence?! And with that haughty, arrogant look on your face, one would think you’re God Almighty doing me a charitable favor!” Theo groaned in agony, curled in a fetal position against Vivian, trying to point a shaking finger at her. “A spineless weakling like you?” Kimberly pointed right back at him, her eyes flashing dangerously. “I wouldn’t look at you if you were the last man on Earth! From this second on, keep your ugly faces out of my line of sight. Because every single time I see you... I will beat you. Bye-bye!” With a dramatic flick of her hair, she spun around and walked back into her room. “You... you crazy...” Theo choked out, gasping for air. Vivian just stood there in frozen, wide-eyed horror, holding her groaning lover, completely unable to comprehend the monster her once-submissive sister had suddenly become.Standing motionless, Finnick watched the horrific spectacle happening in the courtyard of his mansion. As his eyes stayed locked on the trembling, kneeling figure of the girl, her desperate words just minutes ago echoed with sudden clarity in his mind.“Finn... my entire survival in the Kruger household depends on you!” she had begged. “Finn... saving a life earns you heavenly merit! I swear, if you agree to marry me, I will serve you exceptionally well!”Those words, which he had initially dismissed as the wild antics of a shameless woman, now tore through his thoughts, cracking the fortress around his heart just a fraction of an inch.Finnick had never been one to pity the miseries of others. He had crawled his way out of his own hell, bleeding and callous, surviving in a world that showed no mercy. Why should he care about someone else’s misfortune? In his world, emotions were fatal mistakes, and caring for another human being was an unacceptable weakness. The only things that m
The veins along Marco Holland’s neck bulged like thick, blue ropes, his face flushed a deep, terrifying purple. “Shut up! Shut your mouth!” he roared, his voice cracking under the strain of his fury. He pointed a trembling, manic finger at Kimberly. “Hold her down! Hold this disgraceful girl down this instant!”Charles Holland immediately lunged forward, locking his arms around Kimberly from behind.“Hey, hey!” Kimberly yelled in panic, her pulse spiking as Charles pinned her arms behind her. “Let me go! Get off of…”SMACK!The force of Marco’s palm striking her face was so violent it cut off her words in an instant. Kimberly gasped, her vision flashing white as a sharp, blinding heat bloomed across her cheek. She didn’t even have a second to recover before his hand came swinging back from the opposite direction.SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!The sickening sound of flesh hitting flesh echoed repeatedly through the air. Marco struck her again and again, pouring every ounce of his humiliation
Finnick let out a low, weary sigh as he watched the confrontation unfold.Jonas glanced at his boss carefully. “Should we step in, sir?”Finnick’s expression remained entirely unreadable. “The Holland family is disciplining their own daughter. It’s not my place to interfere.”Jonas bowed his head silently, turning his eyes back to the courtyard.Outside, Kimberly was practically vibrating with fury. She jammed both hands firmly onto her waist, her eyes blazing with absolute rage. “So this is your little game, huh?! Just because I used to keep my mouth shut, you actually took me for a damn punching bag?! Twisting the truth, blind to right and wrong... hahahaha! You all think you’re so remarkably clever, don’t you? Aren’t you making your disgusting bias a little too obvious?! Why don’t you grab a megaphone and broadcast your stupidity to the whole world?!”The Hollands stared at her in stunned, speech-deprived shock.Kimberly’s brows slammed together in a vicious scowl. “And what do yo
Kimberly scoffed, eyeing all of them with an icy sneer. “My, my, you two look awfully proud of yourselves, don’t you? I’ve truly never seen anyone command such baseless delusions, you despicable pair of absolute parasites.”Vivian and Theo’s smug expressions instantly shattered into aggravated rage.Kimberly folded her arms tightly over her chest, tossing her head back with a look of supreme indifference. “Honestly? I’d sooner seduce a slimy toad than waste my precious energy trying to seduce him.”“You!” Theo roared, his index finger trembling violently as he pointed it straight at her face.Kimberly simply rolled her eyes, her expression utterly unfazed by his outburst.“Sister,” Vivian said smoothly, wrapping her arms around Theo’s like a clingy vine and resting her chin on his shoulder. “There’s no need to pretend the grapes are sour just because you can’t reach them. This pathetic little game of playing hard to get is just... so deeply embarrassing for you.”“Nobody’s more embarr
Kimberly walked across the room with cute steps, sliding into the chair at the opposite end of the table. She rested her chin in her hands, fixing Finnick with a shameless, dreamy gaze.Thick clouds of cigarette smoke hung heavy in the air, but she didn’t mind it in the slightest. She just sat there, admiring the view.Finnick slowly leaned back against his leather armchair, letting out a heavy sigh as he met her gaze. “What are you doing back in my private quarters?”Kimberly shrugged, her lips forming a petulant pout. “Nobody stopped me.”“Then I’ll make sure to ban you...”Kimberly’s hand shot out instantly in a panic. “Wait!!”Frowning at him, she picked up a fork and a plate, casually plucking choice morsels from the untouched gourmet spread. “You really need to cool down sometimes, Finn.”Finnick’s right eyebrow arched up. “What did you just call me?”At the side of the table, Jonas felt his heart skip a beat, a cold sweat breaking out on his neck.Kimberly looked up at Finnick
Vivian blinked, frozen in sheer disbelief. As Theo slowly managed to uncurl himself, wheezing and clutching his aching lower half, she quickly arranged her face into a tender, heartbreaking concern.“Theo, are you okay?” she whimpered softly.Theo’s face twisted in agony and rage. “Is Kimberly Holland out of her goddamn mind?!” he spat, breathing heavily as he struggled to stand. “She used to be so submissive, so eager to please me! Why is she acting like a rabid dog today?!”Vivian gripped his shoulder to pull him all the way up, stabilizing his trembling frame. “I warned you, didn’t I?” she whispered, leaning into him. “My sister has been putting on an act this entire time. She looks so fragile and harmless on the surface, but underneath, she’s always plotting something nasty. I guess she just can’t keep her fake little mask on anymore.”Theo glared at the closed bedroom door, his chest heaving with murderous intent. “Just you wait, you vicious bitch,” he growled under his breat
