Chapter 4

I could hear my new alarm generating a slew of obnoxious sounds only to get me out of bed in the morning. If I had been in the palace, I would not have had to get up so early in the morning.

"Wake up, Amelia, it's time to get ready for school," my new fake mother said from the door.

The moment I heard the word "school," I sprang out of my new bed and raced to the bathroom, where I hastily brushed my teeth before jumping into a bath. Afterwards, I tied my hair into a bun and made sure to wear braces even though I didn't need them. All of this was part of my strategy.

After taking a bath, I went inside my new closet, which was stuffed with all of the different sorts of clothing that teens today wore to school. Despite the fact that I am eternal, it never failed to astonish me how bizarre human styles were, and how they constantly appeared to be changing on a constant basis. Because I have spent my whole life as a princess and in a castle, I have always liked to dress in stylish attire, even when I was on a mission to murder.

I wore an enormous plain white t-shirt that seemed to be tolerable to wear and a pair of long pants known as slacks.

It seemed strange to put on clothing on my own after spending my whole childhood being clothed by slaves. My pants were uncomfortable to wear, but I reminded myself that "I am Vampire Princess Amelia Blood Moon and will not be a quitter or a failure."

After successfully donning the pants, I changed into a T-shirt and a pair of plain boots for the evening. I looked in the huge mirror in the corner of my room to evaluate my appearance. I had done an excellent job because my outfit was intended to be simple and uninteresting for teenagers today, which I had achieved. Following a large number of adolescent films, I conducted research for this project.

I opened my weapon bag, which contained a variety of weapons ranging from guns to razor-sharp blades.

I then pulled out four silver knives and tucked two of them inside each of the boots I was sporting. Afterwards, I grabbed two little pocket silver knives and placed one in each of my front pants pockets. Silver was known to be lethal to werewolves when it was injected directly into their hearts, which is why all of my weapons were made of the metal.

The witches picked me to be the one who would be able to bring down the werewolf prince, and that is my job and the reason I'm here.

I had been taught by Lake Huran since I was a child in all combat skills as well as how to murder and assassinate a werewolf specifically for this job. I had also participated in conflicts between werewolves and vampires, and was dubbed "The Alpha Slayer" by my fellow werewolves since I was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of werewolf Alphas, who were notoriously tough to kill. So I was a werewolf hunter trained by a Vampire princess, and I was on a mission to assassinate the werewolf prince.

Afterwards, I walked down the stairs to eat breakfast with my new fictitious family.

Because of my vampire sense of smell, I had already smelt all of the human breakfast food that had been prepared while I was still in my hotel room.

They were completely unaware that I was a vampire since they were merely humans who had been hired by my father to relocate here and treat me as if I were their own kid, so nothing would appear odd. I've often puzzled why my father couldn't just force them to do anything. Having the freedom to use my vampire abilities at home would have made everything a lot easier for me.

"Hello, my dear. Good morning to you. I hope you had a good night's sleep." As I walked into the kitchen, I overheard my fictitious mother saying something as she placed plates of food on the table.

"Good morning, and I did it." I replied uncomfortably since I had never had a motherly figure in my life because my mother was murdered by the werewolf queen mutt when I was a baby.

My fictitious family consisted of Mrs. Gail Williams, Mr. Peter Williams, their adorable 8-year-old boy named Han, and their loud-mouthed 13-year-old daughter named Wendy, all of whom were played by actors.

I referred to their kid as "big mouthed" because that's precisely how she's been from the day I met her and her family.

Because their parents had pledged to secrecy, it seems that they had to lie to their children and tell them that I was an orphan and that they had adopted me. Their loud-mouthed daughter had refused to acknowledge my presence.

Instead, she referred to me as a "bloody thief," claiming that I was attempting to become a member of their family in order to take their money, which was odd considering that I was the one who was bringing money into her family's plight.

I wanted to really suck her blood dry so she would learn never to abuse someone because they were adopted or any other kind of orphan again. However, fortunately for her, I did not murder any people.

Nevertheless, this does not exclude me from exacting my vengeance. A slight grin developed on my lips as I thought about it, and little Wendy was not going to be prepared for what was about to happen.

Her brother Han was a nice little thing, and I loved the child because when I first saw him, he called me an angel, which made me feel special. That made my slow beating heart flutter a little, despite the fact that I was well aware that I was far from an angel after having slain several times throughout the battle.

I took the decision to just consume the human food prepared by Mrs. Williams, despite the fact that it would be completely destroyed by my body. I was a Vampire who lived only on the blood of others.

In the background, I could hear Wendy making loud screaming sounds of joy while chatting on the phone with her friend about a gorgeous guy she had met online. My sympathies went out to the unfortunate lady on the other end of the phone who was also suffering from those horrendous screeching noises, even though it was worse for me due to my highly acute vampire hearing.

"Do you think you're ready to start high school?" Mrs. Williams' voice cut me off in the middle of my mental process. "I am, in fact." I gave her an answer that was a falsehood because I was quite frightened. I've been homeschooled my whole life, and all of the high school movies I've seen haven't been that inspiring. "Don't be concerned, sweetheart; you will like high school," she said as she saw my anxiety on my face. She then looked at me with a compassionate expression on her face.

I finished my meal, gathered my belongings, and was about to walk out the front door when...

"Amelia, could you kindly bring Wendy with you, since I'm supposed to be going to pick up Peter and Han at the moment." In her lovely innocent voice, Mrs. Williams yelled from the kitchen, making it seem as if she wasn't attempting to coerce me into interacting with the little she-devil Wendy. I had hoped that we would become friends, but that was not going to happen.

"Sure." I gritted my teeth as I said the words, despite my desire to refuse.

Wendy stared at my plain and uninteresting clothes with disdain as I was walking to the garage. The woman sneered at me and said, "Who dressed you because you look like some filthy street bugger." "Those braces give you a retarded appearance," she said.

I didn't pay attention to her, despite the fact that I knew I could simply compel her to do stupid things with my vampire power. When I got into the garage, I noticed my kid there, waiting for me. While on a mission to prove myself to Lake Huran by killing my first Werewolf alpha, I spotted my car and fell in love with it. I bought it immediately. It was quite pricey, but I decided to get it on the moment.

"I'm willing to wager you stole that automobile." Wendy's unpleasant voice was heard talking to me.

I was well aware that she was envious, so I just rolled my eyes at her folly and climbed into the vehicle. Wendy was very ineffective at providing directions, so I ended up locating the school on my own.

While travelling across the countryside, I came upon a large forest, which was ideal since I needed a place to collect animal blood. It was preferable than human blood in my opinion. Wendy was thrown into the headboard as I came to an abrupt halt while driving.

"Aw!" she said, clutching the back of her neck.

During this time, I just flashed her an evil grin, since she was screaming, "You petty thief, you did it on purpose!"

Then my parents will toss you out because I'm going to disclose the truth!" She went into a rage, expecting me to kiss her feet and beg for her forgiveness.

"How could a human threaten to have me evicted from her modest home when I possess palaces," I said. I couldn't help but giggle at what I was thinking about her.

She merely glanced at me blankly, as if she hadn't anticipated my response. After I had done laughing, I turned back to see where I had come to a halt.

Velma high was clearly marked with a large welcome sign, and a great grin sprang on my face as I realized that this was the school where I would be pursuing my goal.
