Night Shift

Inside a bathroom in the private hospital, she was being violently pounded by her boyfriend while her eyes were fixed on the completely naked body of her future father-in-law.

Marky had no idea where Adeline was looking because of his poor eyesight. All of the young woman’s attention was locked onto Dr. Matthew Fraser—the owner of the hospital where she was interning, and Marky’s father. She couldn't help but stare at the tall, fair-skinned, and handsome doctor who possessed a body built for romance. Because the shower stall he was in was made of clear glass, Adel could see every single detail of his entire body.

She swallowed hard, taking note of the doctor's exceptionally large size—something far beyond Marky’s, which was barely elementary size in comparison. That was the reason why, no matter how hard her boyfriend tried, she couldn't feel any real pleasure at all.

As Marky continued what he was doing, Adel's emotions ran wild inside. She desperately wanted Dr. Matthew to turn in her direction and catch her, but he seemed not to care about the world around him at all. When he finished showering, she could only watch his back until he finally walked out and left the bathroom.

Only then did Adel breathe a sigh of relief. She and Marky quickly fixed themselves up since their shift was coming to an end. She hurriedly washed her body, cleaned her face, and adjusted her uniform before they stepped out of the bathroom as if nothing had happened.

Outside, the nurses who were sleeping in the quarters were beginning to wake up. Pandemonium broke out around the floor; the staff looked panicked as they rushed to organize charts and attend to various tasks.

"What's going on? Why does everyone seem to be panicking?" Adel asked a fellow nurse.

"Adel, haven't you heard? The hospital owner himself arrived earlier!" the nurse replied while frantically touching up her makeup.

"Is that so?"

"Dr. Matthew Fraser. He just arrived from London, and even the head nurse was caught off guard by his sudden visit."

"Oh," was Adel’s brief reply.

Suddenly, Marky pulled her by the waist toward the hallway, immense excitement visible on his face.

"Wait, Marky... we just finished, and they said the owner of the—"

"Babe, come on! I'm bringing you with me," Marky interrupted enthusiastically, pulling her along. "I had no idea Dad was arriving from London today. He came straight here to the hospital from the airport. Perfect timing to introduce you to him as my fiancée!"

A wave of intense nervousness washed over Adel, but she allowed herself to be dragged along by her boyfriend anyway. As they walked toward the main executive office, a mixture of fear and anticipation agitated her chest. This was her chance to face the powerful owner of this prestigious private hospital—who was also the father of the man she was going to marry.

When they reached the front of the office, Marky formally opened the door.

"Dad!" Marky called out.

A tall and drop-dead gorgeous man slowly turned around from his swivel chair. He was holding a fountain pen, and the simple white T-shirt he wore only heightened his overflowing charm and intense physical attraction.

However, the moment their eyes met, Adel felt as though her world completely shattered. She wanted the ground to swallow her alive from the sheer shock and overwhelming embarrassment that washed over her.

He's the man from earlier. Is he Marky's dad?
