Chapter Twelve: Out on the town(part two)

“Look Elliott, I know this Kain dude has been a real jerk dipshit to you, but that’s no reason to shoot him” I heard Echo say as I downed another shot of vodka, grimacing as the liquid burned my throat.

After smoking in silence on the roof for about an hour, Echo suggested we get a drink in the bar across the street. I didn’t oppose since I really needed a vodka on the rocks, but after my first glass, I found myself spilling my guts to Echo about the predicament with Kain, my strained relationship with Forrest and how angry and confused I felt at the moment.

I did leave out my dirty deeds with Kain. She didn’t need to know that. No one needed to know that.
