**Stella's POV**

My bare feet hit frozen ground fast while I run into the trees. Branches whip at my face. The oversized shirt tangles around my legs, riding up dangerously high.

I'm barely covered and the cheap red lingerie from the auction is all I have underneath, and even that's damaged. The panties ripped when my legs couldn't hold me on the stage earlier. They're basically held together by a thread.

I might as well be running naked.

But I don't care.

I have to get away from here and find my way back to safety and later get my pups...

'Stella, stop!' Piper cries weakly in my mind. 'You're weak. Where are you even going?'

'Anywhere. Anywhere but with him.'

Because I know what's coming. I know what ten million dollars buys.

He's going to use me. Break me. Do things that will make Cole's cruelty look merciful because no one spends that much money on an Omega unless they want something specific. Something twisted. Something—

My foot catches on a root.

I go down hard, my a

**Shawn's POV** I smell her sweet intoxicating arousal the moment it happens. My wolf—who's been dormant when it comes to sex for months, barely interested in any she wolf—suddenly surges to attention. 'Mate,' he growls. 'I want her.' 'Not mate,' I tell him firmly. 'This is just physical response to her arousal. Nothing more.' But my wolf doesn't care about logic. I've been celibate for months. And now Stella is standing in front of me, her back against the desk, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Her cheeks are flushed. Her pupils are dilated. Her lips are parted. And her scent— Goddess help me, her scent is driving me insane. She just confessed she's only ever been with one man. A man who made her feel broken. Who couldn't satisfy her. And now she's wondering what it would be like with someone else. The wolf in me wants to show her. Wants to prove that what she experienced with Cole wasn't normal or right. I brace my hands on the desk on either side of h

**Stella's POV** Heat floods my cheeks. "I'm fine with Stella." "Well then." Something shifts in his expression—amusement, maybe, or interest. "Stella it is." The way he says my name makes my stomach flip. I cross my arms, trying to regain my composure. "And secondly, a simple 'I'm taking you to your father' would've saved us both a lot of drama, you know." Shawn smirks. "Would it have?" "Yes!" I throw my hands up. "Instead of sitting there being all broody and mysterious in the car, you could've just told me where we were going." "And you would've believed me?" He leans against the window frame, looking infuriatingly calm. "That I was taking you to meet your billionaire father who you thought was dead?" I open my mouth and close it because he is right. How can I believe a total stranger to my own mom??? "Exactly," he says, and I swear there's the ghost of a smirk on his lips. "You're insufferable," I mutter. "So you've mentioned." Heat floods my cheeks. "I ha

**Stella's POV** My heart screams to go get my pups now... I want to storm Black River Pack and take Maya and Noah away from Cole before he can poison them any further against me. But my head knows Shawn is right. If we go in recklessly, we could lose everything. Cole is a fan favorite with the high council. We could lose against him and he could make it so I never get my pups back. "Shawn's right," I finally say, my voice barely above a whisper. "We need to be smart about this. For Maya and Noah's sake." Victor closes his eyes, clearly fighting his instincts. When he opens them again, there's resignation mixed with steel. "Fine. We do it smart." He looks at Shawn. "But I want a plan. A good one. And I want it fast." "Understood." Shawn pulls out his phone. "I'll contact our legal team immediately. We'll need documentation of the rejection, witnesses to the abuse, evidence that Cole is an unfit parent—" "I can provide all of that," I say quickly. "The rejection wound

**Stella's POV** It's me. Or rather, it's a little girl who looks like me. Maybe four or five years old. Sitting on a man's shoulders, laughing at the camera. "That was two weeks before your mother told me you died," Victor says quietly. "I've looked at that photo every single day for nineteen years." My throat tightens. "I don't remember this." "You were so young." He gestures to the chairs. "Please. Sit. Both of you." I sink into a leather chair. Shawn takes the one beside me, silent as always. Victor sits across from us, and now that we're alone, I can see the full weight of emotion on his face. "I need to know," he says. "I need to know what happened to you. Where you've been. What—" His voice breaks. "What you've been through." I look down at the bruises still visible on my arms and sigh heavily. "It's not a pretty story," I whisper. "I don't care. I need to hear it." His voice is gentle but firm. "Please, Stella. Help me understand." So I tell him I have be

**Stella's POV** "My name is Victor Ace," the man says, his voice thick with emotion. "And... I'm your father." The words hit me like a physical blow. "No," I whisper, shaking my head. "No, that's not—my mother told me that my father died when I was five." "She lied." Victor's voice cracks. "Stella, she told me you were dead. That there was an accident when you were five years old. She showed me a death certificate. Took me to a grave with your name on it." Tears stream down his face openly now, and he doesn't bother wiping them away. "I mourned you for nineteen years." My legs feel weak and the lobby starts to spin. "But—but how—why would she—" "I don't know." He takes another step closer, and I can smell how familiar he is now. Oh goddess. The scent hits me like a tidal wave. He is my father... My wolf though weak as she is stirs as she recognizes him. 'That's him,' Piper whispers, her voice filled with wonder. 'That's our father.' Tears prick my eyes. "I—I can

  • Rise Of The Betrayed Omega    Chapter 19. You don't belong here.

**Stella's POV** My heart starts to pound faster at the thought. The street is right there. People everywhere. I could disappear into the crowd before Shawn even comes back. My feet shift. Then my body reminds me of the ache in my bones and the hollow exhaustion that rejection carved into me and left behind. Run where? Back to Cole? The image of my ex-mate flashes in my mind — his cold eyes, his rejection, the way he turned his back on me without hesitation. And the pups. My breath stutters. They’re with him. Still in his territory. Still under his control. If I show up like this, I won’t rescue anyone, I’ll just give him another reason to laugh at how pathetic I am. I curl my fingers into the fabric of the shirt. Not yet. I need strength. I need leverage. I need time. And right now, Shawn—however dangerous he is— is the only reason I’m still breathing. So I stay where I am. I sink into a chair near the window, trying to make myself invisible. Why did
