Chapter 3

Rhaenyra’s POV

Zephyr left immediately afterwards, so I decided to take a walk outside.

Everywhere was noisy and bussing with business and gossip. All eyes turned as I gracefully walked with my clothes sweeping the ground, they all bowed when I looked right at them.

The crier of the town quickly announced, “ Lady Rhaenyra Zae-Kray, Princess of Lunaria.”

I smiled elegantly before I waved and said, “ Don't worry and don't be disturbed by my presence.”

A young lady snickered before outrightly calling me a whore, which got me shocked then the whole market, especially the women roared with laughter.

I heard their nasty comments as I walked by each and everyone of their shops and I couldn't take it anymore. My eye color swiftly changed and I heard a dropping sound behind me. The girl had fallen down like a log of wood and a smile appeared on my face.

Their screams echoed behind me but I didn't mind.

One shop caught my eye and I walked in, she immediately welcomed me and I said, “ What are you selling?”

She said, “ My lady, I have gotten a name for it yet…”

I was intrigued, then I noticed something and I said, “ You are a witch.”

She instantly prostrated, hitting her head against the wooden floor until blood was pouring from her head.

I screamed, “ Enough. Stop it.”

She looked at me deep in the eyes before saying, “ When you transform, you will be fully unleashed.”

Then she bit her tongue and died on the spot.

I was shaken as I quickly ran away from her shop in search of other potential sellers but what she had said was reverberating in my mind. I constantly asked myself after feeding on raw meat if I was going wild or probably rogue but that would bring up death..

Everyone would desert me if they knew.

I passed two men who spoke in hushed tones as soon as they saw me but every sound was heightened so I could hear everything they said clearly.

Man one: Princess my foot, a daughter of a whore that snuck up the social ladder but ended up dying. I'm very sure that she won't be able to transform…she's a pathetic joke.

My eyes burned from his words, my lips trembled as I fought so hard not to turn back and curse him to death.

I continued walking as if nothing he said affected me but what man two said caught my attention.

Man two: Can you stop being such a gossip? We clearly know that Zae Kray raped her cruely and refused to take responsibility for the baby until a witch told him that the destiny of the child was to destroy us all…he definitely killed her mother but couldn't kill the child.

I froze in shock. I couldn't believe my ears.

Then a third man came in and said, “ The prophecy is already coming to pass regarding the several killings that had been witnessed yet thrown under the rug.”

“ Aren't the 3 lords in love with her?”, man one asked this time.

And they all stayed realizing I was listening to them before they bowed and scattered into various locations.

I could feel my veins about to pop, my hands tightened and my eyes darkened. My head was literally about to burst and my heart was beating rapidly.

The voice in my head was back again, make it stop. I could feel my eyes about to pop out of its sockets while the voices contrasted each other and got louder and more questioning.

“ Go right.”

“ No go left.”

“ Straight”.

“Where exactly was I supposed to go? Who was I going to see?”

The voice yelled this time louder and harsher, the blood pouring out of my ears as my hands shook and quivered from the power.

 I said," Go straight.”

I stopped at a house. It looked dilapidated and it was in the middle of nowhere with animals of all kinds surrounding it…an owl right on the roof staring right at me.

The door opened, three women walked right out holding their hands then they smiled creepily at me.

I was having goosebumps just from looking at them but my legs couldn't stop. I walked up to them and they ushered me into the room with huge smiles then said in unison, “ We are the Weird Sisters”.

I nodded politely.

“ You have questions.”, they said in unison once again.

“ I don't think I do.”, I said standing up about to walk but their next words were.

“ Your heart sent you here because you want to know your true self, Rhaenyra.”

I looked back at them, tempted to have my seat but something in me told me not to buy. I still sat down.

“ Tell me all you know”, I pleaded.

“ In the next full moon, you will die or be reborn into your true self. You are an abomination that was meant to be prevented. Your days are numbered and it would be the people that you love the most that would kill you. The more careless you are with your powers, the faster you will die. Be careful, Rhaenyra…it was good to see you once again old friend”.

“ Now goooo ... .goooo and never return. The night is dark and dangerous even for you my dear.”

I stumbled out of the hut, trying to find my way when I heard the sound of cries, I followed the sound and found the most beautiful creature I had ever seen.

It stared at me, I locked my eyes with its dark red eyes before mine glowed silver. Its eyes flashed with love before being replaced with detachment. My heart throbbed, I walked closer to it, caressing its soft silky fur as it growled gently.

It looked at me once again this time as if wanting to tell me something…it recognized me and I recognized it. Memories started to flood in, tears started escaping my eyes.

“Honey butt”.
