Rhaenyra’s POVWelcome to Lunaria. A twisted realm where the supernatural is deemed ordinary, and humans are branded as demons, cast down into the dirt as abused slaves. Unluckily for me, I straddled the line between both worlds cursed by the blood of the weak, yet still fundamentally superior to them all.I stared up at the glowing full moon, a violent shudder rattling through my bones. I could feel it in my marrow: the next moon would be baptized in my blood. Seeking escape from the endless, biting whispers of the court, I fled into the deep sanctuary of the forest. Here, nature was my only true confidant. The wind caressed my hair, sending a delicious shiver down my spine as it murmured softly into my ear, whispering that my eyes were beautiful. Birds fluttered down, chirping melodic symphonies on my shoulders while my body swayed to their rhythm. Safe in the greenery, animals gathered around me in a silent, wondrous circle, completely forgetting that by all laws of nature, I was t

Rhaenyra’s POVZephyr left immediately afterwards, so I decided to take a walk outside.Everywhere was noisy and bussing with business and gossip. All eyes turned as I gracefully walked with my clothes sweeping the ground, they all bowed when I looked right at them. The crier of the town quickly announced, “ Lady Rhaenyra Zae-Kray, Princess of Lunaria.”I smiled elegantly before I waved and said, “ Don't worry and don't be disturbed by my presence.”A young lady snickered before outrightly calling me a whore, which got me shocked then the whole market, especially the women roared with laughter.I heard their nasty comments as I walked by each and everyone of their shops and I couldn't take it anymore. My eye color swiftly changed and I heard a dropping sound behind me. The girl had fallen down like a log of wood and a smile appeared on my face.Their screams echoed behind me but I didn't mind. One shop caught my eye and I walked in, she immediately welcomed me and I said, “ What are y

Rhaenyra's POV“ I'm coming with you Luca”Just as we were about to move out, Zephyr yelled, “ I'm afraid that I will be the one to have Rhaenyra today instead since it was pre booked.”I looked at him with my eyebrows furrowed before mouthing, “ Please..”“ Stay out of this, Rhaenyra. This is a man's matter and none of your concern.”, Zephyr yelled at me.His words rang in my head like a bell. My emotions hit me like turmoil threatening to erupt but I held myself together.“ What do you mean by a man's matter?” , Luca asked angrily.“ You all have spoiled too much to the point she yarps anyhow forgetting that we men rule the world and her place is to carry my children and be my pleasure whore.”, he snapped at Luca.I gasped holding my chest, my heart pounding fastly as my face had turned ashen…I tried to speak but no sound could come out.“ What do you know about the affair of women when your mate killed yourself so she wouldn't just have to spend eternity with you because you are a

Rhaenyra's POVThe scream that tore from my throat no longer sounded human. It came out as a deep, guttural roar that shook the trees around me and sent birds scattering from their nests. My fingers dug into the earth as another wave of pain ripped through my body, but this time I did not collapse. Something inside me had finally snapped into place. My bones continued to crack. My spine arched violently as something powerful forced its way through every part of me. I could feel my muscles stretching beneath my skin, growing stronger with every painful second. My fingers curled into claws, the nails extending until they tore through the tips of my fingers. Blood dripped onto the ground, but I barely noticed it anymore. The witches had stopped chanting, their voices fading into complete silence. I slowly lifted my head, expecting to see the same amusement and contempt that had been on their faces moments ago, but what I saw made my stomach tighten. Their expressions had changed. The con
