Chapter 5

Rhaenyra's POV

“ I'm coming with you Luca”

Just as we were about to move out, Zephyr yelled, “ I'm afraid that I will be the one to have Rhaenyra today instead since it was pre booked.”

I looked at him with my eyebrows furrowed before mouthing, “ Please..”

“ Stay out of this, Rhaenyra. This is a man's matter and none of your concern.”, Zephyr yelled at me.

His words rang in my head like a bell. My emotions hit me like turmoil threatening to erupt but I held myself together.

“ What do you mean by a man's matter?” , Luca asked angrily.

“ You all have spoiled too much to the point she yarps anyhow forgetting that we men rule the world and her place is to carry my children and be my pleasure whore.”, he snapped at Luca.

I gasped holding my chest, my heart pounding fastly as my face had turned ashen…I tried to speak but no sound could come out.

“ What do you know about the affair of women when your mate killed yourself so she wouldn't just have to spend eternity with you because you are a pathetic fellow that leeches off his father's influence and power that you want to compete with your youngest brother”, Luca clapped back.

I just sat there with the dried up stains of tears on my face, snot running freely from my red face as I sat there an idiot.

“ You think you know her?” , he said laughing like a mad man.

I knew Zephyr was impulsive and absurd but that's what made him attractive but now he was just heartless and insane.

I could feel the fury building up in me, maybe I could start with plucking his eyeballs I thought.

But then again, that could get me killed.

“ I don't think I know her because I do know her. I have seen her in her worst states.”, Luca defended heroically.

Zephyr started laughing out loud like a maniac then pointed at me saying, “ Should I tell him?”

“ He doesn't know…does he?”

Luca looked right at me and said, “ What?”

My eyes were cold and detached as I looked away, I wanted to move away but there was no strength in my body. Their voices echoed in my head reminding me of my place to them.

“ Enoughhhhhh”, I yelled with my hands on my head.

I got up, my bones making cracking sounds, my eyes glimmering and my mouth ajar with saliva pouring out.

My hands moved towards Zephyr as I recited something under my breath and he held his head in pain screaming.

My voice got louder, his iris changed colors as he tried to suck away my powers but I was too strong as blood started trickling down his eyes and nose.

I lifted my palms, lifting him into the air as I squeezed his neck making him give up air as he struggled violently. I said aggressively, “ What do you wish to show him?”

“ A monster.”

“ I will rather do that myself.”

“ Now should you die or die?”

I chose to die so I flung his body to the side and with a crash he fell to the ground and all I could see was blood and him not breathing but I didn't care as I walked out alone.

Staggering, trying to find my grip and overcome my blood lust. The sounds, light and everything was way damn too much.

The colorful lights were on everything, contrasting my life…it exuded the peace and happiness not found in Lunaria probably to confuse everyone into forgetting their own.

The air was filled with the smell of carefully roasted burnt meat that made me salivate more…my nose directed to me the corner that was filled with people of different ages and colors buzzing like bees.

My face was filled with a bright smile as I collected my stick meat- it was extremely sweet, chewy and delicious. I closed my eyes seeing different colors as I was transported to a world of clouds from the goodness of this food.

I walked happily with my hands flinging right after the next while I whistled the song playing in the background noisily. I hopped just like the birds then ran like the kids…yelling and screaming alongside them.

I wailed when we lost a game.

It was all fun as I tried to win more food though my stomach was already enormously big. My mouth is already filled with food.

I walked to the place that was most crowded as a tale was being told to the young children about Lunaria.

I paused when I heard the name,” Rayna Cruz.”

I joined the crowd as my ears stood like an antenna.

I heard something that got me puzzled, “ A queen, killed twice by her lover”

I looked at the sky as it had darkened, the darkness holding secrets of the night which I await. The weather was ominous making my mind skip in fear but I gulped it down boldly.

I could hear the night calling my name, the pain was coming back, the voices from earlier returning and the happiness all a facade.

The silence in my head shattered like a glass..I squinted my eyes in hopes that it would be gone again.

It ached.

I wanted it to be gone…I could feel the presence of something strong, pulling me with all its might..pushing me into its own space. I couldn't resist for the first time and it felt good to the powerless.

Was it a friend or foe? I doubt I have a friend.

My voice seemed to have gone too, time had gone still and my mind restless from the danger I might be in.

I opened my mouth and eyes doing every invention that I had heard before but nothing worked.

The sky looked strange, telling a story of the unknown then I looked at my abductor.

His face was unknown but his soul familiar.

“Honey butt”

“Yes Rayna.”
