When Anastasia came out it was raining heavily.

"Mrs. George, shall I drop you?" Mark put an umbrella over her head.

"I am no longer Mrs. George, Mark. I am okay. Please carry on," Anastasia denied as she doesn't want to be involved with anyone related to Arthur.

"Then please keep this umbrella with you. I don't think the rain is going to stop soon. Take care, Ms. Smith" Mark said and left from there.

Taking a deep breath she started walking.

But Anastasia was unaware that a pair of eyes was watching her with anger.

Ashley took out her phone and called the person. "Make sure to ruin her face. I want to see her ruined face. And that will be perfect punishment for her for slapping me"

Anastasia was walking in the rain. Because of this rainy weather, there were no cabs on the road. Anastasia was lost in thought when a man put his hand on her shoulder.

Anastasia shouted in panic and turned back. She saw a man. He had a mask on his face.

"Who are you?" What do you want?" The man was holding a bottle in his hands. Anastasia stopped in her tracks.

“What do you want?” She asked. “Why did you stop me??” The man kept staring at Anastasia. Then he splashed the liquid from the bottle into her face.

“What was that?” Anastasia asked. “What did you just do?” Anastasia was confused. Suddenly, her eyes started burning. "What is happening to me" Anastasia slipped on the road.

"It hurts.. Please help me" Anastasia felt like someone dipped her body in burning lava. She felt like her skin was melting. The acid had covered her face, chest, and arms, where it burned down to the bottom epidermis, below her nerves.

The man smiled, took a picture, and sent it to Ashley. Soon, Ashley called.

"Yes, the work is done, Ms. Smith. Please tell Mr. George to send our payment. Anastasia was frozen when she heard that Ashley and Arthur were behind it. She begged the man to help her. The pain was killing her.

"Please have mercy. I am pregnant. Water, please give me water" Anastasia cried out. Her version was unclear.

"Baby, my baby. I beg you please stay safe. Please help me," She tried to talk, but her throat was dry. No sound came out.

The man was about to call an ambulance as per the plan when, out of nowhere, a black car rushed in their direction. The man noticed the car but it was already too late to save Anastasia. He jumped away and it hit Anastasia...

Anastasia flew into the air from the impact and then fell against a tree. She felt like a car had run over her. The pain was too much to describe. "All she can say she feels like dying"

Anastasia wanted to see the world for the last time but her version was dark. Anastasia put her hand on her belly and caressed it softly.

"I am sorry babies. Mommy failed you. Forgive me," Anastasia whispered before losing consciousness..

5 Years Later

"No. Please save my babies. Please help, it hurts." Anastasia screamed as she woke up gasping and panting for air.

Beads of sweat formed on her forehead. She wipes it away using the back of her hand.

“Another nightmare” She muttered to myself and rubbed her face in frustration. She has been seeing these nightmares since that horrible day.

Anastasia stretched out her hand towards the left side of the nightstand for the water jug, but the table was empty.

Sighing, she got up as she felt her throat burning. She was thirsty.

Anastasia got up from the bed and walked towards the door. It wasn’t locked. She forgot to lock the door.

She walked out of the room she walked towards the kitchen. She was feeling really tired.

It was as if those nightmares sucked up her all energy.

As soon as she got there, she pulled out a glass from the cupboard and poured water from the jug. She gulped it down in one go and instantly felt relaxed.

Anastasia looked at the family photo and sighed looking at her face. Her looks were already completely different from before. She still remembered the excruciating pain when the acid burnt her skin and she also remembered the agony she had endured for months just to keep the children in her womb. The doctors forbade her from taking any medicine as it could harm the babies. She had no choice but to endure the excruciating pain. She then underwent plastic surgery after giving birth to the children.

She still remembered the ugly face, “Her face was terrible, full of scars, with bandages wrapped around her head all the time. All you could see were her eyes. Sometimes when the bandages have been removed, you can see the various scars.

Anastasia used to cover her face before her babies as she didn't want to scare them. She didn't want her babies to see her as a monster.

Anastasia looked at the picture of her grandparents. She still remembered that day when she woke up.

She woke up in a hospital burns unit two months later in an unfamiliar place. She couldn’t see well. Her eyelids were almost sewn shut. I couldn’t open her mouth or stretch her arms out. She couldn’t talk, walk, bathe, or feed herself. When she eventually saw her face, she couldn’t believe it. She couldn’t even make out where her features began and ended. She was stunned and remembered joking, “I am seriously jacked up. It was too much to take in"

Then, Mr. and Mrs. William came to me. They showed me a DNA test of me. They told her Mother was their lost daughter. They took her with them. They did everything to save her and her babies.

After delivery, the doctors suggested that she get plastic surgery, but she refused because her daughter was very weak and sick. She didn't want to leave her daughter behind to fix her ugly face. She waited until her daughter got better.

When they turned one year old, Mr. William brought her to a skillful surgeon for plastic surgery.

After that, she wanted to forget my revenge. She wanted to lead a peaceful life with her babies, as she knew taking revenge from the most powerful man of the city wouldn't be easy, so she gave up, but destiny had other plans.

Anastasia entered her children's room. She smiled at her beloved babies.

Ethan and Evan were sleeping hugging each other. Anastasia kissed their forehead and then went to her princess's bed.

Alina, her little princess. The more she looked at her daughter, the more her hatred grew for them. Anastasia lay down by Alina's side before she leaned forward to plant a kiss on Alina's pale forehead.

Alina her younger daughter. Because of that accident, she was born weak. The poor child stayed in the incubator for several months after she was born.

The doctor said she might not be saved as she was in danger of dying, so the hospital she went to told her multiple times that she was to prepare for her death.

But God was nice to her. She was saved but she lost her legs. Her lower body was paralyzed. And now it is affecting her upper body too.

Remembering, her daughter had stick with tubes and her face was pale for years. Anastasia couldn't help hating Ashley and Arthur more as she thought of this.

If it were not them, how would the child be like this? "They will pay for this?! Then, she got tired and fell asleep as well.

Next Morning

The next morning, Anastasia vaguely heard Ethan’s voice calling out for her. “Wake up, Mommy. We are going to be late.”

When she woke up, she quickly jumped out of bed as it was already 8.10 AM, and their class was going to start in twenty minutes.

"Give me two minutes. I will get ready right now"

"No need, Mommy. Great-grandpa and grandma are here. Great-grandpa will take us to school today. Bye" Ethan and Evan kissed Anastasia

"Okay. Don't trouble your great-grandpa" Anastasia smiled at him. Ethan and Evan nodded and left from there not before kissing their beloved sister Alina. Being the only daughter Alina is everyone's favorite.

Ethan was the oldest one. He is more mature and smart than his age. Anastasia was about to get up when Alina spoke up weakly, "Mommy"

Anastasia looked at her daughter. "You are awake, dear. Come on, let's get ready. Great-grandma is here"

"Really! Great-grandma is here?" Alina's eyes lit up.

"Yes. She is here. Anastasia took Alina in her arms and then entered the washroom.

After getting fresh, they entered the study room where Mrs. was waiting for them. "Great-grandma," Alina shouted excitedly.

Mrs. William smiled and took Alina in her arms. "How are you, my doll?" Mrs. William kissed her forehead

"Good. You know, great-grandma, Mommy will take me to the Zoo today," Alina spoke up happily.

"Really, that's great." Mrs. William was about to ask about the doctor's appointment when she spotted Nancy, who was standing at the entrance to the study.

Anastasia turned and glanced at the woman standing at the entrance, “ You have something to say?''

"Yes. Breakfast is ready" Nancy said.

"Then, please take Alina. We will be there soon" Anastasia said. "Alright," Come here, Princess. Nancy picked up Alina and left from there.

"Do you want to say something, Grandma?" Anastasia asked her, "When are you going to take Alina to the hospital?" "Shall I accompany you?"

"We will leave after breakfast. No, Grandma, you don't have to come with us" Anastasia said

"Have faith, dear. Everything is going to be okay" Mrs. William smiled, and patted Anastasia's back.

"Hope so, Grandma. Let's go. Alina must be waiting for us" Anastasia smiled at her.

I thought that after learning about the children, he would try to take the children, but he made it clear to me that he would not try to forcefully take your children away from you. He told me that he didn't cheat on you five years ago. He divorced you because of circumstances. Actually, you never got divorced. You signed the divorce papers, but he ne

Mr. William gently patted Alina's head and said, "I will take you as soon as you finish eating." Hearing this, Alina quickly started eating the apple. Anastasia looked at her grandfather, frowning, and asked, "Why do you look worried? Is everything okay, Grandpa?" Mr. William then looked at her and said, "A donor has been found, and he is ready for the operation at any moment." Hearing this, a bright smile appeared on Anastasia's face. She was overwhelmed with happiness and asked her grandfather, "Who is he?" Where is he now? I want to express my gratitude to him. I want to meet him right now." Mr. William looked at his granddaughter and said, "That donor wants to keep his identity a secret, so I can't tell you anything about him." Hearing this,

Max and Anastasia are brother and sister. It's impossible for them to get married. In what sense are you saying that you will get them married? I still can't believe you said such a thing." Lara then looked at her mother and said, "I am not your biological daughter, Mom. That means Max and Anastasia are not real siblings. They are not related by blood. That means they can get married if they want. No one can stop them here. And I didn't say anything bad. If Max marries her, Anastasia will be with us for the rest of her life. As a result, you will be able to live with her and her children for the rest of your life. And you know Max very well. You know how generous he is. He will never hurt them. Haven't you seen that bitch? She is very cunning. She will understand why we want her to marry Max. She will never agree." Hearing his wife's words, he said, "It is not right to prejudge anything. We should try first. Why are you not trying to understand? We have no other way but to try. If she agrees once, we will become the owners of all of Mr. William's assets.
