If there was a way to make my nineteenth birthday memorable, then it must be this moment. My birthday cake is beautifully decorated and kept on the table in front of me.My mother sat opposite me on the chair, nervousness clearly shimmering in her eyes as she flash me a smile that lacks it's usual shine. My father stood against the kitchen counter with clenched fist. The angry lines on his face gave away the hatred he has for this very moment.

The tension was thick in the air.I didn't know how to replace it with the usual silly environment.

"The candles are melting" Mom's low voice was like a soft caress to my ears.

"So is the chocolate"

I flinched when Dad spoke. The harshness of his voice covered us with more thick tension.

"I'm sorry" He sighed, looking guilty.I don't blame him.No parent would be calm when their daughter's doing a deed in the house and the noises are way too loud to even avoid it.

"It's oka—

My voice was overlapped by a familiar scream of my best friend followed by the growl of our Alpha.Dad slammed his fist on the countertop.I avoid looking at them to at least spare them some humiliation.

As I said, my birthday became very memorable indeed with my best friend getting banged up in the room upstairs and us spending these torturous minutes in the dining room, waiting for them to be done and join us.

Time ticked away and just when mom replaced the almost melted candles with the new ones, I heard the footsteps approaching.

"Happy Birthday Elysia"

I mentally groaned, biting back a snarl when Nikona stood next to my chair. His heavy scent mixed with alcohol and sex filled up my nostrils causing me to hold my breath in order not to puke.

"Hopefully I didn't ruin it for you" He said.

My eyes darted up to his face when he leaned down and dipped his finger in the cake, flaring my anger furthermore.I clench my fist as he licks the chocolate off his fingers.

Had I known he would eat this cake, I would have mixed wolfsbane in it.

"Oops forgot the birthday girl" He stares at the leftover chocolate on his finger then at me.I notice Dad shifting away from the countertop when he reached out his filthy fingers in front of my face.I abruptly stood up, causing the chair to slide back harshly.

"I will go and get Amia" I announced and turned to leave but not before giving the filthy Alpha a cold glare.

It's been three years since the title was passed on him.And these past three years were nothing but a torture.Especially ever since Amia started dating him.

The door was left open when I reached there and the sight of Amia naked on the floor shocked me.I stride towards her and was relieved to see her awake. The claw marks on her pretty skin saddened me.

"I know you are upset," She whispered.Sighing heavily, I helped her to sit and ran a soothing hand up and down her back.

"I am not"

But I am worried.

She scoots closer when I wrap my arm around her.

"It's like I am always there for aftercare" I joke, fixing her messy brunette hair. She let out a small laugh.

"How long will it take you to recover from orgasm?" I asked, reaching for the comforter on the bed.

"I will tell you when I have one" Her words stunned me.

"So all that fucking and yet no orgasm? What a crime!" I exclaim, draping the comforter around her.

"Asshole never bothered to give you one, I suppose" I added bitterly and helped her get up.She quietly walked to the bathroom but stopped at the door.

"Elysia, I am sorry to ruin your birthday." Her head hung low as she muttered out an apology.

"Dad must hate me" She added and I am sure she is holding back tears.

"I think we all know, there's only one person we hate and that's definitely not you, Amia.So take a shower and come downstairs. My cake is still waiting.." I blow her a kiss and turn to grab a dress from the closet.

It's not Amia's fault that Nikona showed up unannounced and took her upstairs, not caring about her parents either.I have talked to Amia about the whole Nikona situation but she always tells me to not bring it up.Maybe she doesn't really have a choice to walk away.

I desperately pray to Moon Goddess that the upcoming Ball on Blood Moon will bring a ray of hope in her life.I wish Nikona is not her mate. Then finally she will be able to walk out of this toxic relationship that can't even give her an orgasm.

Once Amia was done, we headed downstairs to the dining room.Nikona was gone and the chocolate cake was replaced with cupcakes with a candle on one of it.

"I should've bought more candles" Dad sighed, resting his hands on his hips.An action he usually does whenever stressed.I jogged to him with a smile on my lips.

"It's enough" I hug him.He pats my head before gently shoving me to blow the candle.

I blew the candle and then they erupted together, "Happy Birthday Elysia!"

A wide smile stretched on my lips as I looked at the happiness on their face.I am forever grateful for this family even if I am not biologically their child.

"Amia, are you sad because she is saved from a cake smash?" Dad said while approaching her with a cupcake in his hand.Dad has never once let his anger and frustration out on any of us.He must be trying to lift Amia's mood.

"Cheer up! We can do this instead" With that, he rubbed the frosting of the cupcake on my cheek.I gasped and glared at him playfully.

Amia giggles and grabs the cupcake.

I quickly run to hide behind mom while laughing.

This is the best part of celebrating birthdays.Always with laughter and chaos.

"Alright, enough! Remember we have to go for a run" Mom announced, handing us a tissue box.

Every year on each of our birthdays, we do a run competition for fun in order to see how much our wolf has grown up.

Dad waits for us in the backyard while we shift and take position for headset.

"Go!" He shouts, and we take off.My wolf being a little too excited this time as I let her run through the forest.Amia and mom's wolf are similar, mine a lot different in comparison. They say I take after my biological father and although I don't remember what his wolf look like, I am glad to carry my parents reminisce.

"Loser!" Amia comments through the mind link as she passes me and mom.I growl, chasing after her and within a while my wolf turns to another direction.

"Where are you going? That's not the right path" I ask my wolf who continues to run, ignoring my worry.

"Stop! Oh my—

I pause, my anger momentarily dissolving into amusement at the sight of the waterfall surrounded by lush green trees and cascading down its sides. My wolf jumps under it and holler around in content.

She just wants to feel the free water on her furs.I let her enjoy. This place used to be a camping site for the Pack but Nikona asked his father to gift him the whole area and ever since this wonderful sight had become forbidden for Pack members.

"I think it's enough. Now let's get out of here" I tell my wolf.

The sound of heavy paws thumping against the ground alerted me.I panic, urging my wolf to move quickly away.

"Stop Elysia!" The command of Alpha Nikona forced me to halt my movements.

Drax PovI stride in the hospital, only stopping at the reception and asking for Elysia.“Room 104—My feet moved before my thoughts could catch up. I only stop when I see Zion with Ian in the Hallway, outside her room.A nurse walks out from the room. Zion nods at her before stepping in the room. As the nurse walks in my direction, I stop her.“How is she? Elysia?” I ask.“Her vitals are normal. No serious damage to her lungs but light burns on her back. She will heal normally like humans. You can see her. She is up” She informs then excuses herself. Without her wolf to heal her, the pain must have been terrible. I gulp, contemplating whether to see her or not.I walk slowly towards the door. The glass window in the door gives a glimpse of the inside.Zion is sitting on the stool next to the bed.She is awake, looking at them both.My heart grows heavy. Had I just stayed in the room then none of this would've happened. I could have prevent it.Zion moves his fingers to caress her fa

I bring it close, checking to see if it's actually Drax. A part of me hopes that it's not. The man next to her is someone else, someone with similar features as Drax, but it's impossible when his face is so clear in the pictures. Why is he with Zion's mate? The more I look at it, the more my head throbs with questions. The sound of footsteps wafts into my ears. Startled, I stack the pictures back behind the frame. Ian tries to reach for the frame in my hand, dropping his own toy and wanting this one instead.“Elysia?”I freeze, looking over to the door. Zion, clad in a white t-shirt and grey sweatpants, stood at the door frame, looking at me with uncertainty.I get up and notice the way his gaze hardens.“What are you doing here?” He asks, voice sharp as he crosses the distance between us. I gulp, clutching onto the frame.“The door was open and curiosity got the best of me. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have invaded—I stop when he takes the frame from my hands.“Did you see it?” He asks. I

Returning to the Zion's Pack wasn't as bad as I had thought. This place is peaceful, filled with people that I don't have to argue with, or disregarded just for being a female.I walk through the garden, admiring the beautiful flowers and plants, the beauty and its calmness provide a sense of inner peace I crave.A soft thud of footfalls wafts through the comfortable silence. I look over, my eyes flicking to Zion.Clad in a black t-shirt, white pants and hair brushed back, just letting a small strand of hair hover on his forehead.Down in his arms is my baby Ian, comfortable like it's his favorite place from now on.The natural hold he has on my baby is something that sends a pleasing tingle in my stomach. One I couldn't acknowledge, not now..Not ever.“Hi” He greets softly, “ I hope you don't mind me hanging around Ian— He is just so adorable. I didn't realize for how long I had him”I shake my head, smiling softly. “It's completely alright with me. I needed some fresh air anyway”H

A month has passed ever since that man entered our life like a tsunami.A month since Xander disappeared with him.Thirty days of waiting and hoping but he never came back.My heart is still crushing under the weight of guilt, that I stupidly let him do something so risky. My Pack is doing fine. Everything is running smoothly. After what happened that day, they believe it's better to let me lead the Pack as long as I keep them safe.I have wanted them to listen and now when they finally are…I am still hollow from the inside.I lost my wolf before but now I can feel the loss physically.Like I lost warmth.“Elysia!” A voice so cheerful, contrary to my thoughts, rings through my ears.I leave the plant on the mud, and get up to my feet to spot Ciara jogging enthusiastically towards me.“Look! Look at that!” She stops a step away from me while showing her hands.I frown, not understanding what's so different about her hand.“It's pretty, isn't it?” She beams, jumping lightly with happiness her

A loud howl full of agony ripples through the air, contrary to the abnormally quiet dining Hall.As if it was the first reaction of the given threat by the man claimed Dark Faerie, a smirk takes over his features.“Oh Wouldn't you like to take a look outside?” He suggests gravelly. With a hand on my chest and another holding Xander, I walk out of the dining Hall.As I open the double doors of the mansion, the noises become more loud.Whimpers, howls, and screams fill my ears.My legs move fast to the main gates, the voices so heart wrenching as though something horrible is happening.I step out, eyes falling on the guards on the ground, down on their knees as painful howls leave their mouth.Their eyes pitch black with fresh tears rolling down their faces.“Hey!” I grab his arm and shook him but he only flinched, yanking my hand with such force that I almost stumbled. I watch in horror as he turns away before running straight into the wall.He still attempts to go through it.I gulp, clut

Drax, Zion and I sat together to dine, but it's obvious that none of us have an appetite after what happened this early morning.“Xander has powers— indestructible even..Maybe worse than the one who summoned him.Don't you think? This is why he wants him back” Zion says, serving bacon on my plate from his.“It seems so but Xander is a child— although those dark powers might make him scary but he doesn't know good or bad” I whisper, “And what exactly are you trying to say by mentioning his powers?Zion stares at me for a brief second, hesitation is shimmering in those eyes.“Nothing” He sighs, digging back in his food.“Of course, you'd think that” Drax chuckles, flicking his gaze to Zion as if he understood what's running in his brother's mind.“He wants to hand Xander to whatever evil that is chasing him since he is strong, powerful and capable of dealing it by himself.” Drax's voice is sharp, filled with bitterness as he continues.“Since he is powerful, he must deal with it himself?

Three days since I have announced new rules in the Pack.Having to constantly face their rudeness and arrogance towards anything I had to offer really pissed me off from time to time but I appeared calm most of the times to not let it be an disadvantage of mine.It is necessary to gain their trust.Right here in the Council Hall, I indulged myself to set this one rule straight and for the best.No Omega will be taken as a mate without consent and if someone breaks the rule then the punishment will be as severe as death. One rule and it has the council disagreeing and arguing over it.“Enough!” I slam the table, catching each one of their attention. Their eyes scream anger, crystal clear towards me.“I will not change my decision. This rule will be taken seriously. In Fact from this very given moment and those of you that disagree, I suggest to stop using your energy because nothing will make me change my mind” I announce sternly.“Omegas are not your Puppets.Learn to respect them or you'l

Against my better judgment, I step inside and walk towards the windows to open them, letting the smoke clear out from the room.Behind me, I sense him move.Turning around, I set my eyes to his displeased frame now sitting on the bed and already staring at me with annoyance.“Did you not hear me?” He groaned, bringing the cigarette to his mouth.I rushed towards the bed and snatched the cigarette from his hand.Ignoring the shift of anger in his eyes, I throw the cigarette on the floor and step on it with my shoes.“I did hear you and I am not leaving” I affirm, holding my ground.Drax stares at me for a moment before laying down on the bed and fetches out a pack of cigarette from his pocket.Groaning in disbelief, I attempt to snatch the pack but he blocks me with his free arm.“Stop bothering me and go plan whatever the heck you want with Zion. Both of you suit each other.Dumb and dumber” He hissed bitterly before shoving my hand away.I didn't let his words hurt me rather I find it amusi

We all sat in the living room as I shared my opinion regarding my son.Zion seems to be calm and positive about this revelation but on the other hand, Drax seems to be lost in a deep thought. His brows remain narrowed in a deep slits, lips pressed together into a thin line and hands resting against the armrest , tapping the fabric ever so slowly.“He isn't so boring after all” Xander's voice rings in the quiet room.Tearing my eyes off Drax, I glance around the room before sighing in distress.Ian might be gifted but it's still a scary thought. What if he ends up hurting himself? He is too young to understand anything. He could possibly harm himself.“As good as it appears to me, I think it would be better to not mention anything about using the gift to him.Just as you said, Ian responded to Xander's constant demand. If not under right guidance and protection, Ian can harm others and most specifically himself” Zion shared his piece of thoughts, which matches with my concern.“That's what I a
