Jill’s POV

As soon as Ryan and Jack left, I fell into a deep sleep. I was vaguely aware of the nurses checking on me, but I did not wake up fully. By the time I finally woke up it was morning again. I looked towards the door and saw Ryan stood there.

“What are you doing here? You should be at work”.

He grinned at me as he walked into the room and adjusted the bed for me so that I was sitting up. He then handed me the remote “I asked Jack if I could be your guard instead and he agreed”.

“I am not sure why I need a guard, I don’t think Philip is stupid enough to try hurt me in a hospital and even if he was, he would be looking for me in a public hospital, not a private one”.

“That’s his name Phillip?”.

“Yeah Phillip Lord”

“Do you know what he does for a job?”.

“He told me he was a plumber”.
