LOGINChapter 4
Cheryl’s point of view
It was past eight already by the time I arrived at the party. I ran late because I wanted to attend this party with Sara who practically disappeared after school.
She wouldn’t reply my texts or pick any of my calls. It’s like we got into a fight and I’m been tuned out.
I had to come down here alone and without a date. Told myself there’s a reasonable reason to why she vanished and she’ll tell me all about it tomorrow at school.
Goosebumps creeped into my skin as I walked through the bodies gathered around the house’s porch. Scattered around and chattering the night away with a cup probably an alcoholic beverage caught in their hands.
My head was peaked and peeping around in glimpse of Noel. My all smart counter plan to humiliate him tonight was to dump a drink on him and accuse him of infecting me with a sexually transmitted disease, preferably chlamydia.
I was still moving my head around without any straight focus on my surroundings when someone bumped into me or I did rather.
“Sorry!” I apologized and walked past the body without thinking twice to carry on with my search.
My search led me to the kitchen where I thought to pour myself a drink before I continue searching for this jerk face.
I already served myself some sprite and was gulping it down when I noticed that people were looking at their phones and at me.
Maybe I’m just paranoid.
I left the kitchen and I swear it’s not paranoia. They were all looking at me, in a judgy little way. What’s going on?
My gaze trailed from one face to face, trying to figure out what was happening through their expression.
Everyone’s phone suddenly started to buzz, beep, and ping to announce a notification.
I reached into my pocket to grab out my phone so I could find out for myself the reason to the sudden shift into tension.
“What?!” I gasped out when my hand met an empty pocket. Panic grew into my system as I searched through all my pockets and couldn’t find my phone.
Who stole my phone? How? I had it with me just now.
I was still looking around trying to understand where I could’ve lost my phone when a student came up to me. I recognize her because we’ve had classes together.
“You’re so pathetic and desperate. Yuck!” She remarked before cup came at me to empty the cold content inside. “Can’t believe I adored you!” She rolled her eyes as she walked away.
My panic morphed into anger. I understand it now. Whatever is going on right now is Jerkface’s handiwork. It’s him. Everything has Noel written all over it.
And when I find that son of a-
“Get out of my party!” Jenna’s voice came up loud behind me.
I glanced up and around to see everyone’s focus on me. I’ve managed to become the center of attention for their late night amusement.
I turned around to face Jenna, escorted by her mini crew and none of this was helping me keep my calm.
“Are you deaf? Or you’ve suddenly gone dumb.” She came to halt once she was in front of me. “Desperate bitches like you aren’t welcomed here, get out or-“
“Or what?” I cut into her statement daringly. I’m sure she’s in on this with Noel.
“Or this!” She threw her drink at me before I could get a chance to react.
“Hold her girls!” She instructed and her mini bitches charged at me.
I pushed at the first girl that stretched to grab my arm, and sent a smack to the other girl that sent her rolling a few steps back. I went straight for Jenna once she’s out and open for my attack.
I grabbed her shirt and roughly pulled her close. “What’s going on? Tell me now!” I screamed into her face.
She knows. I’m sure she does.
“Eww eww eww!” She cried out in disgust as she fought to keep off my grip on her. “Get your filthy hands off me!” She slapped me hard.
So hard my hands dropped off her shirt and things got blurry for a second or more. I hadn’t fully recovered when her girls took me each by my arm and forced me to my knees.
“Let me go,” I demanded, glancing up at the one holding me down by my right arm.
“Don’t even try to. I calmly requested her to get out and she dared me to do my worst. Since you haven’t humiliated yourself enough to the whole school, I’m going to help you out.” Jenna stated, like she wasn’t just addressing me but also the audience whose interest was very much peaked at us.
“Guys.” She threw out her hands as she glanced around the room, “What do you suggest we do to her? Or have we seriously forgiven what she did to us? What do you all say we do the same thing to her?!” An evil grin cracked across her face.
I watched as she brought out a marker, and I could see it wasn’t the temporary inked one I used on their faces when I was playing my prank. She brought out a permanent inked marker!
“We already know she’s a desperate slut. A bitch. But I need more cause we’re gonna paint her face black!” She shove the marker in my face as if she wanted to poke me with it.
I need to get out here. No! Noel won’t win this.
“Let me go,” I whispered out to the two holding me down, warningly this time around.
“You’re not going anywhere. This is your reckoning bitch!” Jenna said as she lowered the marker down on my forehead.
I gathered every ounce of my strength, every bits and pieces of it and fueled it into jerking my arms out of their grip as I pulled us all to the floor.
Jenna fell back when she saw we were about to crash into her. I instantly stood up, separated from them at last.
I walked up to Jenna. “This isn’t over!” I said to her, staring her down with a vicious gaze. “I promise you, I’m gonna get you back and hard for this.” I snatched the marker out of her hands.
I turned around so I could leave the room when my gaze fell on the jerk face that’s behind my hellish night so far.
I halted, paled out on spot. It wasn’t his smug smirk that’s getting to me, rather the arms wrapped around his and the familiar figure stuck to his side.
Once she saw me too she separated from him and instantly took off.
Am I dreaming or was that Sara? And it doesn’t help my denial when she decided to run off.
“What’s up freak? Leaving the party so early?” Noel said as he began to approach me.
I couldn’t even bring myself to attack him. I just want to know what he’s done.
“What did you do?” My eyes snapped closed briefly as I rasped out the question.
“What did I do?” He asked back, humorously. “It’s more of what did you do than what I did to be honest. And why don’t you find out for yourself exactly what you did that’s helped my night become so memorable.” He proceeded to retrieve the phone that went missing few minutes after my arrival at this party.
“I found this pretty princess of yours out in the back. No idea what it was doing out there but I’m a good person and I thought to come give it to you.” His smirk wasn’t just uncanny, it was full blown eerie.
“Whatever we have going on was always suppose to be between us. Between the both of us only. You didn’t have to make my best friend betray me,” I said to him before I left the scene.
I was out of the house before I opened my phone to check what the buzz has been out.
Oh God!
Oh no!
No no no!
I posted it. No I did not, but it was posted on my account on the school’s web. And as if that wasn’t defaming enough, the school blog already shared the post.
As well as a video.
A video of Sara and Noel. Looks like a confession video until I played it.
I’ll never forgive Sara for this! Never!
Chapter 6: Taste Of A Different Medicine. Cheryl’s point of view Mom and my new stepfather doesn’t need to know the reason why I’ve skipped school for two days in a row and refuse to join them downstairs for any sort of family meal. Though I could have, because ever since he did what he did. He hasn’t stepped foot in this house for the past four days now. Yup that’s right, he skipped his father’s wedding. I also did. I mean it was a court wedding, and there wasn’t a need for me to attend. Albeit I was wanted there, and I had to use my shitty break as an excuse to skip. But they at least knew about my whereabouts. I don’t know about Noel’s. I didn’t bother to ask or was even curious enough to want to know his whereabouts. And quite honestly, I’ve silently prayed to the universe over the past few days that he got hit by a bus and landed in a coma or something. Yeah we’ve gotten to that point. He ruined my life. Why? For the sake of his sick demented amusement. He isn’t just a jer
Chapter 5: Too Far or Too Deep?Noel’s POV You’d think I feel good with everything I did to Freak tonight at the party, but I don’t. I mean I was feeling good until the statement she made before leaving. “Whatever we have going on was always suppose to be between us. Between the both of us only. You didn’t have to make my best friend betray me….” Those words repeatedly stalked my mind. Did I really went too far with tonight? I thought this was our game, to destroy each other. Or maybe she just said that to me so I wouldn’t think about how she got defeated and rather be caught up in a strange trap of guilt. I could’ve truly made her best friend betrayed her like she claimed but I did not. All I did was made her escort me to a party for the sake of the video that was made of us. Sara doesn’t know anything about the video. Only I do. Sara once had a crush on me and thought she’d try her luck. She sent me a box with my favorite chocolate candies, and a letter professing her love.I

Chapter 3 Cheryl’s point of view It’s finally lunch break and my eyes scouted round the cafeteria for a familiar face before Sara and I settled down at our usual table close to a corner with our tray of lunch. “Who are you looking for?” Sara asked as she grabbed her juice bottle to open up. I haven’t told her yet about the guy who came up to me with an envelope and the stunt Noel pulled on him afterwards. The guy wanted back his envelope, but I told him I won’t be giving it back until I’ve read what’s written inside. So I told him to come take it back by lunch and now I’m eye searching for him. I don’t think he’s around. Thank God, because I haven’t read the letter yet. I brought out the envelope from inside my bag. “What’s that?” Sara asked the moment she saw it. “I was gonna skip maths class this morning, then some kid came up to me and gave this to me.” I showed her the enveloped. “I’m about to check out what’s written inside. Because tell me why Noel was beating up the kid
Chapter 2Noel’s POVCheryl Jones. I’d describe her, but I’ll need more advanced wording for the bane of my existence because that’s who she is.A stuck up vindictive redhead.Ever since what happened in freshman year, she’d become the goddess of spite and I’d be damned to rule for her mercy.“Is she coming?” I questioned when Dan arrived in our midst.“She’s now invited, but I doubt she’ll show up since you aren’t hosting,” Dan responded as he went to take his spot beside Finn. We’re five in number and we’re all best buddies. We’ve been like that for as long as I can remember.Jace was the last to join us, and that’s because he didn’t show up until the first year of middle school.“What’s your plan for her now?” Nick quizzed with curiosity that had others peaking their gazes at me.“Get her high and naked? That’d be so fun and the ultimate comeback!” Finn added, his idea as outrageous as his entire personality.“You guys have been at it for so long now. I’m starting to think you both
Chapter 1Cheryl’s point of viewIt’s official. There’s something new I despise more than waking up early. You’d think it was an event or something random. But it's far from that. It’s more of a who than a what. It’s one human! A prick!“Would you quit stabbing him with your eyes?!” Sara nudged me out of focus.I huffed. “Only if it’s legal to do it with my bare hands now,” I retorted, finally breaking contact with the asshole.Sara chuckled, “Remind me again how the rivalry started?”I gasped before settling my full attention on my best friend whose brain has chosen to forget my most sensitive experience.“He bet on me, Sara! He gambled with my worth and as if that isn’t enough, he’s also about to become my fucking stepbrother!” I slammed my locker door closed with a strong force. I’d let the imagination that it was his head consume me.“Wasn’t that two years ago? You’ve hated him since freshman year? It’s Junior year already, it’s time to let go and you both are becoming a family…”
