Chapter 3 The Mysterious Iron Sword & Siji Scriptures

The air in the mountain was humid. Lin Tian didn’t dare to make a fire. He was afraid that they would be discovered by the Xiao Family and the Mo Family. He leaned against a thick trunk with Lin Xi in his arms and stared at the raging flames in the darkness afar with forbidding eyes.

Lin Tian felt pain all over, and drowsiness fell upon him at the same time. Before long, he fell asleep.

Leaning against the thick trunk, Lin Tian had a dream. In the dream, he was standing on the vast heaven. He looked out and saw nine obscure figures in front of him, among whom hung a long sword, sparkling.

Suddenly, the nine figures started to move, and reached out to the long sword in the middle at the same time.

Lin Tian widened his eyes. At this moment, the nine people were fighting against each other. Lin Tian saw the sky collapsing and the ground sinking. Meanwhile, lightning was flashing and thunder was rumbling, while rays of divine light were shooting up. The scene looked like the end of the world.

After that, the scene changed again. Lin Tian saw a long sword plunging from the sky through layers of blurry barriers and straight down towards him.

“Oh my god!”

Lin Tian gave a cry and opened his eyes abruptly, his forehead full of cold sweat.

It was still the dark night. Lin Tian was still leaning against the thick trunk behind him, while Lin Xi was still resting in his arms. Maybe she was too grieved to be woken up by his cry. Lin Tian wiped off the sweat on his forehead. The dream was too terrifying just now, and the picture of the long sword dashing towards him in the end just felt too real.

Lin Tian heaved a sigh of relief and then was suddenly startled.

The sword?

Where was the sword in his hand?

Lin Tian remembered when he was holding Lin Xi, the iron sword was grasped in his right hand all the time, but it was nowhere to be seen now!

Thinking of the dream just now, Lin Tian broke out in cold sweat. He looked around, and suddenly found that there were luminous spots in his palm.

Lin Tian raised his right hand to his eyes and his pupils dilated instantly. At this moment, there was a sword mark on his palm, and the shape of the mark was exactly the same as that of the iron sword he had found at the foot of the cliff!

“Well...”

Lin Tian’s pupils contracted.

At this point of time, Lin Tian suddenly had a splitting headache. He just felt as if a huge hammer hit hard against his head, and the fierce pain almost made him scream a few times.

However, the pain didn’t last long before fading away soon.

Lin Tian was wet with sweat all over. After that, he was startled again. At this moment, many mysterious and complicated things popped into his mind. Charms, divine patterns, Taoist stamps, various kinds of extraordinary and dazzling light... At last, a paragraph of obscure ancient scriptures flooded in and was clanging in his mind.

Lin Tian was shocked. What was this? Is it the exercise method of cultivation?

Lin Tian was stunned at this thought.

Lin Tian had drawn all the memories from this body. He knew that the world he was in now was an empire appreciating martial cultivation. It was the spiritual practice, as well as all young people’s dream. Every year, there were countless people hoping to set foot on the road of martial cultivation. However, this practice required the exercise method, which was hard to get. It was impossible for ordinary small families to get it. In Beiyan Empire, the powerful exercise method was mostly controlled by the empire.

Take Fengjian City for example. Both in the vast city and its surrounding area, only Jiuyang Martial Institution set up by Beiyan Empire and several other martial families owned the exercise method of cultivation. However, the exercise method owned by ordinary martial families was quite common, and no match for the one owned by Jiuyang Martial Institution. Besides, those old martial families wouldn’t pass on the exercise method of cultivation to those outsiders. Therefore, countless hot-blooded youngsters who were determined to practice martial cultivation would scramble to get into Jiuyang Martial Institution each year, hoping to be its disciples so that they could learn the powerful exercise method and step on the real path of martial cultivation.

Lin Tian was not the descendant of an old martial family, nor was he enrolled in Jiuyang Martial Institution, but now he might have got the exercise method, so how wouldn’t he be shocked?

Taking a deep breath, Lin Tian reorganized the information popping into his mind quickly. An hour later, his eyes lit up. He had actually sorted out a whole set of exercise methods of cultivation!

It was a kind of body cultivating method called Siji Scriptures!
