Chapter 5

As his voice fell, the once-silent crowd erupted.

“Who is he? I’ve never seen a wolf that powerful!”

The spectators murmured in awe.

“Derek? Is that really you?”

Kelvin stared at the tall figure, slowly rising from his seat. His voice trembled in disbelief.

“Yeah, it’s me, Kelvin.”

Derek didn’t even turn to face him fully—just glanced over his shoulder with a cold, familiar confidence.

Amanda’s father stood up as if struck by lightning, his eyes wide with shock.

“Is that… the third son of your father? The one exiled from the pack years ago?”

Kelvin nodded stiffly. “Yes. He was ruthless, arrogant, and disobedient. He broke pack laws more times than I can count. Eventually, even Mom and Dad couldn't tolerate him anymore. They cast him out. I heard his wolf was nearly destroyed in a battle… and then, nothing. No one heard from him again. The elders thought he died.”

“That’s impossible…”

Amanda’s father slumped back into his seat, eyes clouded, as if haunted by the past.
