HUNT

"Tell me more about this dream," Lilith said as I paced around her cabin. Della was still asleep, but I couldn't put my mind to ease as I thought about our similar dreams. It's never happened to me before. Not even with Hailey and our bond was as strong as any others.

"It's the same thing over and over. Someone is chasing her and I can't help her. I could feel the desperation as I searched for her cries and her pleas for help. She sounded as if she was right there, but she wasn't," I explained.

If Della and I were to be mates and there were already issues with dreams so vivid and desperate, I'd be lying if I didn't feel the fear creeping into my throat.

"I've heard of mates having synchronised dreams. It just doesn't happen often," Lilith said as she turned the page of a book she was reading.
