In The Anderson’s Private Ship:

Claire Anderson had just worn her favorite dress, it was a purple dress that had a bow at the top of it. It was too pretty and it made her hazel eyes look more pretty. She unwrapped her popsicle as she made her way to Warren’s side of the ship. Claire was only eight years old but she was very much in love with her betrothed husband. After her parents saw that Claire cared about Warren and loved him very much, they didn't waste time engaging the both of them. Warren was a handsome young boy, they feared other women will take him away from their only child when he grows older.

Being the richest family made it so easy as the Lannister family didn't want to lose their chance at topping the list of the richest families in the world.

Claire walked through the corners until she reached the front of Warren’s room, she practiced her smile and raised her blonde hair to the sides of her face to hide her baby fat. Warren had always talked about her chubby cheeks and how much he hated them. He had once told her that she was so ugly, that he would never marry her. He would rather marry a poor but beautiful girl than her. He didn't know his words had sucked deep into her that she only thought about them anytime she saw her face in the mirror. With her little hands, Claire knocked on the door but no one answered, she figured that Warren must be busy and that's the reason he didn't answer, so she went in on her own.

Warren's room was decorated with footballs, comic characters, and guitars. It was a blue, black, and blue bed with cream-colored tiles. Claire took her step gently until she reached the balcony where Warren stood staring at the waters. He was only twelve years old but he already had a handsome features. He had black curly hair, long and stud back well-defined jaws, and blue eyes - as blue as the ocean he was staring at. Looking at him, Claire felt her heart flutter, he was her first crush and she wasn't hoping to let it go even though she didn't understand the true meaning of love.

“Warren?” she called with a smile and stretched the opened popsicle to him.

Knowing it was her, Warren sighed and turned to her. When he saw her in her purple dress and purple ribbon, he almost burst out laughing. Then her hair which had fallen to her shoulder looked like swollen flour had she didn't comb it or dress it well. Warren placed his hand into his pocket, he gently walked towards her, a smirk plastered on his cute little face.

“Who do you think you are? Just because your parents are the richest in the country doesn't make you great. I will like to tell you that even if you have been betrothed to me, I will never marry you. You are too ugly, look at your cheeks!” He looked so pissed, that his face morphed into a disgusted one.

Claire gently put down her hands, she looked down until he was out of sight. Tears cascaded down her cheeks, she felt humiliated; he had always humiliated her but it always hurt each time. She turned around and walked out of the room.

Walking through the passage, she hit a girl, just the same age as hers. Claire was so angry that the girl had hit her. She looked at the little girl who was just the same age but she had black hair and chocolate eyes.

“Are you blind? What are poor brats looking for in my parents' ship? You are a maid yet you are so stupid!” Claire was young but she was a spoilt brat, especially when she was angry.

Being called poor, the little girl felt so humiliated. Her mother who was walking toward them heard all that Claire had said to her daughter but she didn't dare talk back to Claire as her parents are the owner of the ship she was working in. If she dared to say a word, Claire would report and she would be sacked.

“Miss Claire, calling people poor is very bad. I work here and this is my daughter.” The young lady talked, she was dressed in a server outfit which made her look very poor so was her daughter.

Claire who was still angry looked at the woman.

“And so? Didn't I say the truth? When someone is ugly, they are called ugly and no one sees anything wrong in it but calling poor people poor is bad? Then I guess something is wrong with this world!” she yelled and stomped her feet out leaving the poor woman and her child to herself.

The poor child looked at her mother.

“Mother, can we be rich too so that Claire would never be able to talk to us like that again. Mother, I want to make Claire sad too, I want Claire to cry too.” The young girl began to sob hard. Tears also formed in the young woman’s face seeing that her child was crying. She wiped her face and hugged her tightly.

“Addison, we will be rich, I will do everything to make us rich. Claire will cry, you will be happy. Claire will be poor, you will be happy. You will talk down on Claire, Claire will not be able to say anything.”

Twelve Years later:

It was Addison’s twentieth birthday, she was indoors again like her mother had always kept her. Her mother had always told her it was for her protection and she listened to her but her sister was always parading the whole of Wilson City with her friends and numerous boyfriends but it was fine.

Addison looked at the necklace around her neck, her name was written in cursive which made it look very beautiful.

“Happy twentieth birthday, Addison,” she said to herself and turned around only to be met by someone she didn't expect.

“Claire?” Addison looked at her sister who folded her arms around her chest.
