Five

That night, Addison returned home and went to her room quickly. She didn't have the strength to listen to her mom insult her again. Sometimes, it feels like she was the adopted one.

Her mom had once said that Claire was adopted and that's why she had no birth certificate except the necklace with her name encrypted on it. However, it seemed as if she favored Claire more. Every time, she comes up with the excuse that it's cause she wants Claire to feel at home.

Addison entered her room, tears spiraling from her eyes. She couldn't even switch on her phone because of the numerous calls and text messages she receives. The aggressive female fans of Warren Lannister even went as far as threatening her and doing all sorts of things. It was as though her life was in daily jeopardy.

Addison sat up on her bed and picked up her laptop from her bedside. She opened it hoping she would be able to send some messages from her best friend. Her best friend, Jaden had sent her some messages worrying about her and asking how she was.

Addison: I’m not okay. Have you seen social media?

Jaden: Warren Lannister hasn't addressed the public, I think that's the reason the news is spreading like a virus. Until you both come out to explain the issue, the matter won't die down.

Addison bit her lower lips. Her eyes swelled up in tears. Warren Lannister would never try to clear up the issue, he has security and money to protect him. She had no one at all.

Still talking to Jaden, she received another message. It was from Gabriel Lancashire, her boyfriend.

Gabriel: Babe, I'm traveling, I won't be around for some time.

Addison opened the message, she sent him a smiling emoji then slide into Jaden’s dm.

Jaden: Is Gabriel angry with you? Have you guys talked about it yet?

Addison: No.

Jaden: Is it right for him to be at the hotel with your sister, right now? I'm on evening shit here at the hotel and your boyfriend came in with your sister, Claire.

Addison's eyes widened at the message she saw. She looked at it well to be sure she had read the right thing.

Addison dropped her laptop quickly and picked up her phone. With this, she walked out of the house and then hailed a taxi. Her hands were shaking while her heart pounded repeatedly against her chest.

Soon, the cab arrived at the hotel. Addison rushed into the place where she saw Jaden at the front desk.

“The hotel room?” she asked looking frantic.

Jade pitied her. He didn't say anything because he didn't know what to say but he gave her the extra key to the room. Addison's hands were shaking by the time she walked out of the elevator, tears had built in her eyes already.

She walked to the room that had the same number on the key. She looked at the room, she didn't want to open the door with the extra because she was scared that she would meet the duo naked. Why else will they get a hotel?

Signing, she knocked on the door.

“Who is there?” Gabriel's manly voice sounded from the other end of the door.

Bracing herself up and clearing her throat, she said,

“Room service.”

Almost immediately, the door opened. It was Claire who opened the door. She had only a small towel covering her nakedness. Behind her came Gabriel, he was shocked to see her.

“Gabriel?” Tears broke from her eyes. She shook and almost fell from seeing the duo half-naked.

“Addison..” Gabriel called back.

“I did everything for you, Gabriel, why... Why...” she didn't finish her sentence before lunging out, her hands still shaking from the impact of the scene.

She closed her eyes and allowed her tears to flow freely from her eyes, she didn't even know that someone was walking towards her as well until she hit her small body against the tall, slender and hard frame.

The body was so warm and strong, Addison laid her head on his chest, she didn't want to disengage from him at all as it felt so comforting.

“Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?” The grumpy voice sounded on top of her head. She didn't know who it was but the voice showed that the person she had just bumped into was a wealthy, domineering, and power-filled man.

She disengaged quickly and her face met with an extremely handsome man. His eyes were so blue, that he would be contesting with the sea. His hair was dark and wavy. His nose was pointy and beautiful. His lips were pink and full. And his body was well built, slender, and beautiful.

It was Warren Lannister. She had seen him a couple of times on social media but she had never met him in real life until now.

Looking at him, she felt like backing away. She wished the floor would just open and swallow her up because it was better than the intimidating aura that filled the atmosphere.

“Mom was right, you are nothing but a slut. Your customer is waiting behind you.”

Addison raised her brows.

Customer? She didn't understand until she turned around and saw Gabriel half-naked, walking away already when he sighted Warren. Addison didn't know that Gabriel chased after her after she left his presence earlier.

“I’m...”

“Keep it.” He said and walked away.
