Jace

“Please,” Celeste breathed, reaching for me one more time.

“Celeste,” I murmured as her hands roamed all over me. “You asked for this.”

In a flash, our lips met, hunger igniting between us. My hand slid around her neck as I deepened the kiss—fast, rough, and intoxicatingly sweet.

“Mmm,” she moaned, but the sound was swallowed by me.

My hand trailed down her body, gripping her firmly, rough and possessive. So soft, I thought, my breath catching.

When we finally broke the kiss, I met her gaze, her eyes dark with lust and wild desire. I’d never seen her like this, not even the first time we fucked.

“I want more,” she whispered, her body trembling. “Please fuck me hard.”

Her voice carried a raw, desperate need that caught me off guard. I never imagined her being this bold and fearless. It had to be the drug, I told myself.

“Do you know who I am?” I asked quietly, unable to stop myself.

She nodded her head. “Yes, Jace.”

I was stunned. She knew who she was with. Despite the drug’s effe

AriaI walked through the company building with my head down. My heart was pounding so loud.Keep walking. Don’t look up. Almost there.I passed the security. No one stopped me.Finally, I reached Jace’s office. The door was right in front of me. I didn’t knock. I just pushed it open and walked in.“What kind of cleaner barges into her boss’s office without knocking?” Jace said. He looked up from the papers he was reviewing with Mina. Then he saw my face. His expression changed from shock to anger to disgust.“I—” I screamed. I ran toward him and grabbed the front of his shirt. “How dare you treat me like trash! How dare you!”“That uniform fits you well, Aria,” Jace said coldly. “You could apply for a cleaner’s job here. It suits you.”I felt like he’d stabbed me in the chest.“How dare you!” Tears started rolling down my face. Before I could stop myself, I slapped him hard across the face. The sound was so loud. Mina gasped.Jace’s head turned from the force. A red mark appeared on

Aria“How much do you want?" I asked, trying to keep my voice calm despite the boiling anger inside me. I felt the urge to lash out and hurt her, but I knew I needed her.“Ten thousand dollars.”“What!” I choked. “That is daylight robbery. That’s too much.”“Too much?” She stood up again. Her chair scraped against the floor. “Then goodbye, Miss Aria.”“Wait!” I grabbed her arm again. “Fine. Fine! Ten thousand. I’ll transfer it now.”“Good,” she smiled. That smile made me want to break her teeth. My hands were shaking as I pulled out my phone. Ten thousand dollars. Almost everything I had saved. But I had no choice. None.“Your details,” I said. I forced a smile onto my face even though I wanted to scream. She slowly recited her bank details to me, savoring the moment as if she knew I was desperate.I typed in the numbers. My finger hovered over the confirm button.Ten thousand dollars. Gone. Just like that. Then I pressed it.“Done,” I muttered. My voice was hollow. “Check your accoun

AriaI lay on the ground, breathing heavily, my entire body trembling.Everyone was staring and whispering. This was Jace’s fault. All of it. If it wasn’t because of him, that low-life girl would never dare to step on me like this.I picked up my bag with trembling hands. I got up. Dusted off my clothes. But I didn’t leave. I couldn’t leave. Not yet.I walked around the corner and waited. I hid behind a pillar and watched the entrance.I needed to get in. I needed to see him. Even if I had to dress as a cleaner to do it.I waited for almost an hour. My feet hurt from standing in heels, but I didn’t move. Then I saw her.Mrs. Walker. The old cleaning lady. The one who cleaned Jace’s office every day.I remembered her. I’d insulted her before. Called her pathetic for being so old and still working as a cleaner. But right now, she was perfect.I quickly fixed my hair and walked up to her with my brightest smile.“Mrs. Walker!” I called in the friendliest voice I could manage. She jumped.

AriaMy palms scraped against the rough pavement. Pain shot through my skin as I hit the ground hard. My knee was bleeding. My expensive red dress—once flawless—was torn and smeared with dirt.I looked up at the tall building—Jace’s company. The place I used to walk into with my head held high. Now I was thrown out like garbage.People walking by stared at me. Some took out their phones and started recording.I wanted to scream. I wanted to cry. I wanted to disappear. But most of all, I wanted to destroy Jace for humiliating me like this.He would pay for this. One day, he would pay for everything.I stood up slowly. My whole body hurt. My hands were bleeding, and my dress was ruined. But I held my head high.I would come back. Tomorrow. And the day after. And the day after that.I would make him take me back.No matter what it took.*I couldn’t sleep that night.Every time I closed my eyes, I saw it. Jace’s face. Cold. Disgusted. Looking at me as if I were nothing.I couldn’t sleep.

AriaThen he tossed the napkin into the trash can.My heart sank.“Are you treating me like trash?” I asked. My voice cracked. “Jace, you’ve never treated me like this before. Never. You loved me. You cared about my well-being. Why are you acting as if I disgust you?”It hurt. It actually hurt. Even though I didn’t really love Jace, even though this was all part of the plan, it still hurt to be treated like garbage.“You’re trash, Aria,” he spat. He threw my phone on the floor. The screen cracked when it hit the ground. “Get out now, or I’ll force you out myself.”“You asked me to bring evidence, and I did,” I muttered. My voice was getting louder and desperate. “So why are you behaving like this toward me? Why? Do you have another girl you’re sleeping with? Is that why you want to get rid of me, even when I brought you the proof you asked for?”I moved back when I saw his eyes. They burned with intense hatred. Pure, raw hatred. What had I done to deserve that look? Was it just becaus

Aria“What do you mean by this?” I asked, clenching my teeth together. “Are you trying to humiliate me in front of this lowlife, Jace?”My voice was loud and sharp. I wanted everyone in this building to know who I was. Jace’s girlfriend. Not some random woman who could be thrown out.“What are you still waiting for?” Jace screamed at Mina. His face was red with anger. “Take her out. Now!”Mina reached for my arm. Her fingers wrapped around my wrist, and she tried to drag me toward the door.No. No, I wouldn’t let this happen.I knew that if I were forced to leave like this, I would never be able to come back. Everyone would laugh at me.All the people I once looked down on would mock me. My reputation would be destroyed.“Let me go, bitch!” I screamed. I pulled my hand free and slapped Mina hard across her face. The sound echoed in the office.“How dare you touch me with those filthy hands of yours, mutt!”Mina stumbled back. Her hand flew to her cheek. She stared at me with wide eyes
