LOGINRuby’s POV
My eyes opened slowly.
The first thing I noticed was that the bed was too soft… and too big. The second thing I noticed was that this was not my room.
I sat up so fast that my head spun. The sheets slipped down my body, and I realized I was only wearing a large black shirt that clearly didn’t belong to me.
My heart dropped.
No.
No, no, no.
I looked around in pure panic. Dark furniture. Expensive curtains. A huge window showing a view I had only seen once before.
This was Zane’s house.
“Shit,” I whispered, gripping the sheets. “Shit, shit, shit.”
How the hell did I end up here again?
Before I could fully process it, the door opened.
Zane walked in, already dressed in a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He was holding a glass of water, looking completely calm… like finding me in his bed was the most normal thing in the world.
The moment I saw him, everything from last night came rushing back in broken pieces.
Flashback
I remembered Sarah trying to help me up at the party.
I remembered Zane saying he would take me home.
I remembered arguing with him in the car, my words slurred.
“I don’t want to go with you, you shameless bastard…”
He had only smirked.
I remembered him carrying me out of the car when my legs refused to work properly. I had been hitting his chest weakly, still cursing him.
“Put me down, you psycho… you’re my boss… this is wrong… you’re a damn pervert…”
He didn’t say much. He just carried me inside, up the stairs, and into his bedroom. I had tried to fight him even while half-asleep, mumbling every insult I could think of.
“You’re evil… I hate you… I swear I hate you…”
The last thing I remembered was him pulling the covers over me and saying something low near my ear before everything went dark.
Present
“You,” I pointed at him, my voice already rising. “You crazy bastard! Why the hell am I in your house?!”
Zane raised an eyebrow, looking far too amused. He walked closer and placed the glass of water on the nightstand.
“Good morning to you too,” he said calmly.
“Don’t ‘good morning’ me!” I shouted, pulling the sheets higher. “You kidnapped me!”
“You were drunk and barely able to stand,” he replied, sitting on the edge of the bed. “Should I have left you at the bar?”
“Yes! Or better still, you should have let Sarah take me home, you shameless man!”
He chuckled lowly, which only made me angrier.
“You’re cursing a lot for someone who was clinging to me last night,” he said.
My face burned. “I was drunk! I didn’t know what I was doing!”
“Is that so?” He leaned in slightly, his eyes dark with amusement. “Because you kept calling my name in your sleep.”
“You’re lying!”
“Am I?”
He reached out and gently tugged the collar of the shirt I was wearing, exposing a bit more of my shoulder. I slapped his hand away immediately.
“Don’t touch me!”
“You’re in my shirt… in my bed… and you’re telling me not to touch you?” he said, voice dropping lower. “That’s cute.”
I glared at him, my heart beating too fast. “You’re taking advantage of the situation.”
“Obviously,” he admitted without shame. His fingers brushed over my ankle under the sheets, slow and deliberate. “You’re finally in my house again. Why would I waste the opportunity?”
I kicked at his hand, but he caught my leg easily, his grip firm but not painful.
“Let go of me, you bastard,” I hissed.
He only smiled, thumb stroking the skin of my ankle like he had all the time in the world.
“Keep cursing me, Ruby,” he said softly. “It only makes me want to shut you up.”
Ruby’s POVBecause of that pervert, I had to come to work late. Not a good look for a girl who just started the job.Sarah looked at me with worry written all over her face.“Ruby, thank God you’re okay,” she said, letting out a sigh of relief. “You don’t know how worried I was. I wanted to take you home last night but the boss insisted…”I quickly cut her off.“I’m fine. Just forget about it,” I said. I really didn’t want to remember anything about that psychopath.Sarah suddenly frowned and pointed at my neck.“Ruby… what happened to your neck?”I quickly covered it with my hand and forced a smile that felt more fake than my entire life right now.Just then my phone buzzed.Unknown Number:Get me coffee.Of course I knew who it was. Zane Blackwood.I ignored the message and looked back at Sarah, thankful she didn’t see it.“Mosquitoes,” I said quickly, pulling my scarf higher to cover the mark. “I got bitten.”“Umm… okay,” she replied, still looking a little suspicious. Please, no m
Ruby’s POV“Keep cursing me, Ruby,” he said softly. “It only makes me want to shut you up.”My heart started beating fast. I knew exactly what he meant by that. The look in his eyes was already dangerous, so I quickly stopped talking and forced myself to calm down.“Boss… I appreciate you bringing me home, but I have to leave now,” I said carefully, choosing every word so I wouldn’t make him angry. He didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he smirked. Then I felt it — the hard press of him between my thighs.Gosh. What a monster. My body tensed immediately. I needed to get out of here before things went further.“Boss…”“Call me Zane,” he cut in. His voice was lower now, rough around the edges.“Mr. Zane… it’s morning. It’s not proper to do this in the daytime,” I said, already freaking out inside. I didn’t want to sleep with my boss again. Not when I already knew how rough and overwhelming he could be in bed. One night with him had been enough to leave me sore and confused for days.“Ru

Ruby’s POVI ran out of his office faster than I expected. My legs felt weak, and my heart was still racing. I couldn’t believe it. The man I had messed around with that night wasn’t just some random guy. He was Zane Blackwood. A very powerful man. My boss.Gosh, I was doomed.I walked back to my seat, still shaking from the way he had touched me. What a shameless man. My body still felt the ghost of his hands, and I hated how easily he had affected me.Sarah must have noticed the strange look on my face because she quickly walked over to my desk.“So… how was it?” she asked with a curious smile.Should I tell her? Should I say that I accidentally slept with our CEO because I thought he was a male model? No. I couldn’t. I was still new here. I had a reputation to protect. I didn’t want anyone thinking I slept my way into this job.Sarah waved her hand in front of my face. “Are you okay? You zoned out,” she said, looking a little worried. She took both of my hands and gave me a soft lo

Zane’s POVI looked at the silly girl standing in front of me, pretending she had no idea who I was. Acting like nothing had happened between us.“That’s not how you sounded when I was fucking you,” I said again, watching her carefully. She froze.“I… don’t know what you’re talking about, sir,” she tried to deny it.I gave her a mocking smile. “Really? I think I still have the video of you screaming until you fainted.”Her eyes widened. “You… you recorded us?”I nodded slowly. Of course I was lying. I wasn’t that kind of bastard. I just wanted her to stop pretending.I stood up and walked toward her. She immediately started backing away.“You even had the nerve to leave five hundred dollars on my nightstand,” I said, closing the distance until I had her pinned against the wall, my arms caging her in.“I… I thought you were just some male model,” she stammered. She wasn’t completely wrong. She had been drunk and clearly going through something that night.“And were my skills in bed rea
