MasukRuby’s POV
The next day, I started my first official day at work. I woke up earlier than usual, my stomach tight with a mix of excitement and nerves. For the first time in a long while, I felt like I had something to look forward to. I got dressed carefully, checked myself in the mirror more times than necessary, and left the house with a small smile on my face.
When I arrived at Blackwood Holdings, I made sure I was on time. Honestly, no one in that building could have been more excited than I was. This job was my fresh start. After everything.
I was shown to my desk by one of the staff members. It was neat, simple, and positioned near a large window that overlooked part of the city. My first task was straightforward: make copies of some documents for the CEO. Apparently, he had been busy the day before, which was why his assistant had handled my interview instead.
I didn’t really understand why the CEO couldn’t just ask his assistant to do the copying, but who was I to complain? I was the new girl. The last thing I wanted was to start asking unnecessary questions on my first day. I kept my head down and got to work.
The copy machine hummed quietly as I fed the papers through it. I was so focused that I didn’t notice someone approaching until a soft voice spoke beside me.
“You’re the new girl?”
I turned and saw a pretty young woman standing there with a bright, friendly smile. She looked to be around my age, maybe a little older, with a warm expression that immediately made me feel less nervous.
“Yes, I am,” I replied, smiling back.
“Wow, you’re really pretty.”
I felt my cheeks warm slightly. “Thank you. You’re the prettiest one here, though.”
She giggled, clearly pleased. “Anyway, I’m Sarah. Welcome to Blackwood Holdings — the place where you’ll work your ass off and still get paid very well.”
I let out a small laugh. “No pain, no gain, right? I’m Ruby.”
Sarah leaned in a little, lowering her voice as if she was sharing a secret. “I heard your first task is making copies for the CEO.”
“Yeah,” I said, glancing at the papers in my hands.
“Our boss can be… strict,” she continued. “This might be your first little test. Please don’t mess it up. I’d hate to lose such a pretty new coworker already.” She gave me a playful puppy-dog look and squeezed my hands dramatically.
I almost laughed at how over-the-top she was being. “Don’t worry. I’ve got this,” I assured her.
I meant it. I wasn’t about to lose this opportunity. Not after everything I had been through.
“Let’s exchange numbers,” Sarah said. “Some of the team is throwing a small welcome party for you later, so be ready.”
“Noted, boss,” I joked.
She burst out laughing, and for a moment, the tightness in my chest eased. We quickly added each other on the company chat before she went back to her desk, still smiling.
I finished making the copies, stacked them neatly, and took a deep breath. This was it. My first real task. I smoothed down my clothes, picked up the files, and headed toward the CEO’s office.
The hallway felt longer than it should have. When I reached the tall wooden door, I hesitated for only a second before knocking once.
“Come in.”
The voice from inside was deep and calm. I opened the door and stepped in, already speaking as I walked toward the large desk.
“Sir, these are the copies of—”
The words died in my throat.
I froze.
The man sitting behind the desk was the same man from that night.
The “male model” I had drunkenly approached at the bar… the man who had taken me to his mansion… the man who had taken my virginity and fucked me until I blacked out… was the billionaire CEO of Blackwood Holdings.
My heart slammed against my ribs so hard I was sure he could hear it.
I was completely screwed.
For a few terrifying seconds, I couldn’t move. Memories of that night rushed back without mercy — his hands on my body, the way he had pinned me down, the sound of my own voice moaning his name, the way he had filled me until I couldn’t think straight.
I forced myself to stay calm. Even if we had slept together, there was no guarantee he would remember me. Men like him probably had one-night stands all the time. I was probably just another blurry memory to him.
I cleared my throat and tried to sound professional, even though my hands were slightly trembling around the files.
“I mean… these are the copies you requested, sir.”
He didn’t answer right away. He just sat there, staring at me with an unreadable expression. His blue eyes moved over my face slowly, like he was studying something he found interesting. The silence stretched between us, heavy and suffocating.
I kept my gaze as steady as I could, even though every part of me wanted to turn around and run out of the office.
Finally, he spoke.
“Is this all of them?” he asked, glancing down at the files in my hands.
Relief washed over me so strongly that my knees almost weakened. He didn’t recognize me. Thank God.
“Yes, sir,” I replied quickly. “Exactly what you asked for.”
I stepped forward and carefully placed the documents on his desk, ready to leave as fast as possible.
“Ruby.”
The sound of my name in his deep voice made my legs feel weak. My breath caught in my throat. That voice… I had heard it against my ear, rough and low, while he was buried inside me.
“Yes, sir?” I answered, trying not to show how much it affected me.
He leaned back slightly in his chair, his eyes locked on mine. There was something dark and knowing in his expression now. Something that made my stomach twist.
A slow, almost lazy smirk pulled at the corner of his lips.
“That’s not how you sounded when I was fucking you.”
Zane’s POVBy morning, Ruby was not at her desk.At first I didn’t think much. Maybe she was late. Maybe she was angry because of how I controlled her yesterday. But after one hour, she still didn’t come.I looked at the empty seat again. Then I called her number. It rang and cut.I called again.Same thing. My hand tightened on the phone.James walked in with files, then stopped when he saw my face.“What is it?” he asked.“Ruby is not here,” I said.James checked the time. “Maybe traffic.”“I called her. No answer.”He became serious and tried her number too. Still nothing.“Maybe she finally ran,” James said.I looked at him coldly.“She can’t run from me that easily.”Ruby knew what I had on her. She knew I could destroy her name, her job, and whatever little peace she had left. That was why she stayed. That was why she obeyed. So if she truly disappeared on her own, something was wrong.“Check the entrance,” I said. “Cameras too. I want to know if she came near this building toda
Ruby’s POVMy eyes opened slowly. At first, I didn’t know where I was. My head was paining me, and my mouth felt dry. I tried to sit up fast, but my body was still heavy from whatever they used on that handkerchief.I looked around. The room was small and dim. No window I could escape from. Just a bed, a chair, and a locked door.My heart started beating hard at once.“Where am I?” I whispered.Nobody answered.I checked my body quickly. My clothes were still on. My bag was gone. My phone was gone too. That made the fear worse.I stood up and walked to the door. I turned the handle.Locked.I hit the door with my palm.“Hey! Is anybody there? Open this door!”Still nothing.I hit it again harder.“I said open the door!”My voice came out rough because of all the crying I did earlier at the graveyard. My eyes still felt swollen. My head still felt heavy. But fear was stronger than all of that.I stepped back and looked around the room again. Maybe there was another way out. I checked t
Ruby’s POVFinally I took the courage to go meet Grandma at the graveyard. For some days now, I had been telling myself I would go. Every time I remembered her, my chest would pain me and I would postpone it. But today I couldn’t postpone it again. I needed to see her.I bought a flower bouquet on my way. I dressed well too. Not like I was going to a party. Just neat clothes. Grandma always liked when I looked clean. She used to say no matter how hard life is, a girl should not look abandoned. When I got to the graveyard, the place was quiet. Too quiet. My footsteps even sounded loud to my own ears. I held the flowers tight and walked until I saw her grave stone.I stopped in front of it for a few seconds. I couldn’t talk immediately. Then I bent down and placed the flowers gently on the stone.“Hi Granny,” I said, trying to smile. “I’m sorry it took me too long to visit.”I stared at her name.Just looking at it already made my throat tight.“How is it over there?” I asked. “Did you
Zane’s POVJames entered my office with a folder in his hand.I didn’t look up at first.“Talk,” I said.“I looked into the girl around Ruby,” James said. “Lisa.”That made me lift my eyes.James placed the folder on my desk.“She is not ordinary,” he said. “After she betrayed Ruby with that Ethan guy, she started moving around older rich men. One name keeps coming up.”“Who?”“Victor Lang.”I leaned back in my chair.Victor Lang. That name was not new to me.James continued.“From what I found, Lisa is working under him. And it looks like he is using Ruby to get to you.”For a moment, the office went quiet. Then I smirked.“Victor Lang,” I said slowly. “So that old rival still hasn’t learned.”James watched me carefully.“You know him.”“Of course I know him,” I said. “He has always survived by playing dirty between bigger people. If he can’t win directly, he looks for a weak point.”My fingers tapped on the desk.Ruby was still part of my revenge. The blood connected to the people t
Ruby’s POVWork ended later than I wanted.I packed my things fast and left before Zane could stop me. He was busy with something on his desk, so I used that chance and walked out.Outside the company, I raised my hand for a taxi. I just wanted to go home. Before the car could stop, I heard my name.“Ruby!”I turned and frowned at once.Ethan.“What do you want?” I asked.“I just want to talk,” he said.“I already told you I don’t want to talk to you.”He reached for my hand, and I pulled it away.“Don’t touch me.”“Ruby, come on. How long are you going to keep this up because of one mistake?”“One mistake?” I said. “You slept with my best friend.”Before he could answer, another voice came in.“Is there a problem here?”I turned and saw Lisa walking toward us.Ethan looked shocked.“Lisa?”She ignored him and came to my side.“Are you okay?” she asked.I nodded.Ethan laughed a little. “So you two are friends again?”Lisa looked at him coldly.“Whether we are friends or not, you don’
Lisa’s SideLisa was already on top of the older man when the real conversation started. His hands gripped her waist as she moved on his dick, slow at first, then deeper. The bed under them kept shifting with every movement. She moaned and placed her hands on his chest for balance.“Ah… Daddy…”He spanked her ass and thrust up into her hard.“Don’t stop,” he said.Lisa rode him properly, her breasts moving with every bounce. He watched her with dark eyes, enjoying the way she obeyed without being told twice.“You saw her,” he said while still fucking her from under.Lisa nodded, breathing hard.“Yes… I did.”“And?”“She is scared,” Lisa answered between moans. “She told me a lot.”He held her hips tighter and slammed into her harder.“What did she tell you?”“About her boss… ah… about Zane. How he controls her. How he threatened her with tapes. She also told me about the men that chased her.”The older man groaned and sat up a little, still buried inside her. He grabbed her hair and p
