Kael's POV

With an howl, I began sprinting across the open field at the back of the alliance pack. The place was quite empty because majority of the pack members were healers and magic practitioners who didn't see much need for exercise. Their own training was done behind close doors either because they didn't want people seeing what they did or didn't like the outdoors. Either way, I didn't really care.

This place was perfect. A perfect escape.

Goddess knows how much I needed an escape especially since coming to this pack.

It was all just so stifling for not only me but my wolf and I felt like if I didn't let him out, he would end up clawing his way out of me.

It's been three days since I arrived at the Alliance pack and everyday has been no less stressing than the other.

First there was the reception I got from the pack members. I've gotten shoved, excluded, and called all sorts of names both directly and indirectly by any tom dick and Harry in this pack.

  • Run Little Mate   Chapter 105

Third Person POVThe manor slept quietly that night.Moonlight bled through tall windows, silver against polished floors that had carried the weight of warriors and servants for centuries. Shadows leaned and stretched with every flicker of torchlight, alive in their silence. The air smelled faintly of herbs and old wood, a scent that clung stubbornly to the stone, no matter how many fires burned.A cloaked figure slipped down the corridor, each step measured, careful. The hush of their cloak against stone sounded far too loud. Their breath was shallow, chest tight, heart hammering so violently it was a wonder the sound did not wake the entire manor. They knew these halls. Every crack, every turn, every place where light lingered too long and shadows were safest. They had walked these paths for years, and yet tonight the manor felt hostile. Every whisper of air seemed to accuse. Every flicker of flame stretched into watching eyes.A sound cracked through the stillness.Boots.The cloak

  • Run Little Mate   Chapter 104

Eren’s arms were wrapped so tight around my neck I thought he might choke the air out of me. His little body trembled, shoulders shaking as he buried his face against my chest, muffling the sound of his cries. His fingers dug into my shirt like claws, refusing to let go, as if letting go meant I would vanish. And gods, wasn’t he right?I held him close, one hand spread across his back, the other cupping head. I bowed over him, shielding him with my body like I could protect him from the truth that was already tearing us both apart.“I don’t want you to go,” he choked out, voice small, broken. The words lodged like a blade in my chest. I closed my eyes, inhaling slowly through my nose, steadying the fire clawing at me.“I don’t want to go either,” I admitted quietly, my lips brushing against his hair. “But I have to. You understand that, don’t you, little wolf?”He shook his head violently, face pressed harder into me. His tears seeped through the thin fabric of my shirt, damp against

KAEL’S POVThe wooden swords clashed again and the sound rang out across the training ground. Eren’s arms wobbled under the weight, but his eyes burned with that stubborn spark that always made my chest ache.“Should I go again?” he asked, breathless but grinning.I lifted my blade, teasing, “You’ll break me before I break you, Eren. Now try again.” He laughed, then stumbled back into his stance. His feet were too far apart, his elbows sticking out like chicken wings. I stepped forward, nudging his arm.“Hold your sword closer. Tighten your hold here. Think of it like holding a shield and sword together. You lose balance, you lose the fight.”“Like this?” He adjusted, wobbling but proud of himself.I tilted my head. “Thats actually much better. Still a bit clumsy as always, but better.”He pulled a face. “You’re mean, Kael.”“Truth isn’t mean. It’s training.” I smirked. “Now try again, pup.”“Stop calling me that.”“I can't do that, pup. You’re exactly like one.”Eren lunged, swingin

  • Run Little Mate   Chapter 101

ELARA’S POVThe rain had started as a drizzle, a gentle mist that clung to the air like a whisper of warning. I told myself it would pass, that I could ignore it, that I could keep my mind steady. But Kael had other plans. He always did. Somehow, he always knew how to make me happy.“Come on,” he said, that mischievous glint lighting up his eyes just before he reached for me.Before I could protest, his hand wrapped around mine, warm and firm, and then, gods help me, he dragged me straight out into the storm.“Kael!” I yelped, stumbling after him as the sky split open above us. “Are you insane?”The downpour came all at once, heavy and relentless, soaking through my clothes in seconds. My hair plastered against my face, the fabric of my dress clinging to every inch of me, cold and wet and humiliating. And yet…He was laughing. That low, unrestrained sound rumbled from his chest as if the rain were some kind of gift. I hated how much it tugged at me, how his joy had a way of sinking in

  • Run Little Mate   Chapter 100

Elara's POVMy hand shot to the hand and I swiveled to face a menacing looking Naomi. It seemed like my words had made her mad."Let go of me." I gritted out, my veins bulging as I tried to hold in my anger."No. Who the fuck do you think you are? You think you're better than me just because Alpha Leah supports you? Just because you live at the pack manor, you suddenly think you're all that? At the end of the day, you're just a useless bitch whose only achievement is birthing a child. At this point, with how stupid that boy is, I don't think that itself is and achievem.... Ahhhh" Naomi clutched her face in her hands while screaming like a pig about to be slaughtered. How crass and uncultured. I thought she had a sweet and melodic voice? She had released me subconsciously and I stood at my full height and looked down at her.Blood flowed from her neck where I had knicked her with one of my now elongated claw. "How dare you? I can take anything you say to me but you dare to bring my
