Ryan

Un-freaking- believable.

Pure, unleashable rage filled me as I stormed through the hallway.

My feet pounding the floor in a furious rhythm. My anger was palpable, a living thing that pulsed through my veins like a hot, wild energy. I couldn't contain it, couldn't calm the storm that raged inside me.

Every step brought back the echoes of the recent memory.

Her glare.

Another step.

Her daring look, so different to the softness I recognised.

Another step.

Her apathy, the plain way she said those damning words.

“Theyre not your children”

I clenched my fists, my jaw tightening. Not my children? What the hell was that supposed to mean?

Yes…I had made some mistakes. But it couldn't compare to the utter betrayal that she spelled. My blood, hidden for six years away from me.

I hadn't been able to rest ever since the realization. Seeing her stricken in the hospital was my last straw. I didn't know how I was supposed to hold myself back through it all as she dared to pass by, pretending

Mikaela I finished and turned to walk away moving past him towards the hallway leading to Tobias's office. There were no footsteps thumping behind me. He didn't follow. Good. It meant that all of this was over.“Mikaela.” My footsteps , right at the corner to the other end halted as soon as Ryan's voice rang from behind me. I didn't turn around.“I’ll cooperate…for now. But if you think I'll let my children be raised by another man, you have another thing coming.” he said. My jaw clenched. I clutched my fists tightly to quell my frustration as I turned to face him. His face was stony, gaze still blazing through the distance.“This isn’t over.” he said. After a few more seconds his footsteps thumped, growing distant. I didn't meet to turn around to know that he was gone.I waited, holding my breath until I couldn't hear him anymore. When I finally let it out, it came out shuddered. It didn't matter, I r

Mikaela Ryan flinched back, stricken like I had just struck a punch. Something flashed in his mind, something like bitterness, rage and…hurt?I curled my hands into fists, heat boiling through my veins. It didn’t matter to me what he felt. Every single word I said was the truth. He, nor the Crimson pack could compare to the love and warmth I had received here.On entering the Crimson pack, I had done my best to be worthy of them. To be a good Luna, a good mate for them to accept me. I thought they did.Until Lydia came back and everything changed. Their tunes changed and so did their attitude towards me. They treated me as a mere replacement, constantly gushing about Ryan and Lydia's bond, ignoring the fact that I was still there. It was as though all I had done was nothing in their eyes. I had suffered alone, with nobody to comfort me while everyone remained enamored with her, claiming that they were meant to be. In my eyes, they were also accomplices, contributing to my spiral. An

MikaelaOf course it had to be him.I tried to take a step back, to create some distance between us, but Ryan's grip on my arms was like a vice. His fingers dug deep into my skin, holding me in place as he gazed at me with an intensity that made my heart racing. I felt a shiver run down my spine. I tried to back away from him only to feel my back collide with a flat surface. My heart fell. There was no escape.Ryan came closer with every step. I tried to pull my hand away but his grip was too firm, almost tight enough to hurt. His face was fixed with a sneer.“Well?” he snarled, a near animalistic growl leaving me. His gaze blaze with a fire that seemed to pierce right through me. I felt trapped, unable to look away, as he held me captive with his gaze.I clenched my jaw.Wait…was anyone here.Panic filled me. My gaze flew to the sides, a twinge of relief filling me. There was nobody there. Not a soul. It wasn’t surprising considering that it was evening with most of the maids and

MikaelaMy throat felt tight looking at her. I had braced myself for an accusation. But her question wasn't laced with judgment or accusation. She looked calm, holding no judgement in her gaze. She must have figured it out by now, yet she still waited patiently for my side. She trusted me.June's calm demeanor was a balm to my frazzled nerves. I felt a sense of ease wash over me, and it emboldened me to open up. June's calmness was contagious, and That was enough reason to accept and speak.I took a deep breath, letting my guard down. “He is Ryan, Alpha of the Crimson pack…” I began carefully, trailing off. It was the most obvious part but she didn't say anything, waiting patiently.“And,” I continued, “He was once my mate and the father of these three children.”The silence after was deafening. The words hung in the air between us, heavy with unspoken emotions.Shame washed over me like a tidal wave, the memories of that night echoing in my mind. My mistake in staying for so long,

MikaelaThis couldn’t be happening. My breath caught in my throat as I met his blue eyed gaze, dread filling me.Ryan. He was here. With my children. Why was he here?“He’s already awake. I'm sure that he'd love to see….”The Pack doctor's voice swam through my ears like water. I couldn’t comprehend it before it slipped out.All I could focus on was HIM. Ryan and that damned look he gave. The look in his eyes was piercing, accusing with something I clearly recognized. My heart fell in an instant. He knew. He knew that they were his children. It took everything in me to force my gaze away from him. I drifted to Lisa and Samuel, now beside me. The resemblance between them was faint, but anyone who was more than familiar with him would see it clearly. More than that, he must have felt it solely from his wolf. The same bond that coursed between Lisa, Declan Samuel and me. Even if he would recognise it. His wolf would. This was why I never wanted them to meet. It was too late now. The d
