CALLUM

I couldn't believe my eyes, Clara was right here in my hands. In front of me after three years. God I had her right where I wanted her but Leah had to butt in as usual.

"What the hell was that all about back there?" She spoke breaking my inner monologue as she shut the door behind us. 

"What are you talking about?" I asked shrugging my shoulders. I couldn't care less about her feelings right now when I had something bigger in mind that I needed to deal with as soon as possible.

"Don't you dare pull that bullcrap with me. You know what the hell I'm talking about. That stunt you pulled back there with Clara in the presence of everyone. Don't you ever think that people are going to think that she is going to be a problem to us. Our relationship?! I was neglected back there." She yelled as I rolled my eyes.

"You are just worried that people will finally realize that I don't give a fuck about you and you have been imposing yourself on me. What? Can't handle that bad energy?" I taunted as she stormed towards me.

"Don't you dare take that tone with me. Or I promise you, I'll make you regret it. You are mine. Not Clara. Mine, so the sooner you get that in your head. The better for you. Do not cross me. I'll not allow myself to be played for a fool." She said as I replied,

"I don't have to keep any of those promises. Whatever deal you have over my father is between you and my father. Sure I'll get married to you if I must but trust me when I'm done, you will be the one begging for a divorce. Now leave me alone." I snapped as she took a step back breathing heavily as she tried to say some thing but my phone buzzed interrupting the moment.

"Leave I need to talk to whoever it is on the phone!" I said as she shook her head.

"I'm your fiancee. You don't need to keep secrets from me so go ahead and pick the call."

"Leah. Leave. Now!" I said calmly as she huffed and left leaving me alone as I sighed and answered the call, placing the phone on my eyes.

"Callum speaking." I said.

"I have found the address of the woman you sent me to look for. She stays in the city, works at SmartCo and is currently single. There is no man in the picture" It was the investigator that I had put on the job yesterday.

Damn he was efficient.

"I met her today but just for a few minutes. Thank you. Send me the address and I'll wire the money to your account. I may need your help further down the line so stay close by." I said as he accepted and ended the call.

My phone buzzed with the incoming text message from him as I read the address memorizing it before deleting it. I didn't want Leah snooping around not if I could do something to stop it.

Now I had to figure out many to make Clara pay for all the pains and suffering that she caused me.

****Three Hours Later****

I was in my office playing Candy Crush to pass time when the door was suddenly barged open and my father stormed in with my PA behind trying to stop him from distracting me.

"Excuse sir, I told you my boss is busy and shouldn't be disturbed." Lena said as I quickly spoke,

"Don't worry about it Lena. You should go. I'll take care of this." I said nodding my head as she hesitated a bit before leaving the office leaving us alone as she closed the door behind us.

"What's this I'm hearing about another woman in the picture? Have you forgotten all about Leah?" He yelled at me as I rolled my eyes.

"Did Leah send you here to threaten me or something. Because I don't see how my life is any of your business." I stated crossing my arms as he replied,

"It's my business when you start throwing it away carelessly. This isn't like you. You have a duty to fulfill. Why don't you fulfill it and stop all this stupid games that you are playing. Leah is a beautiful woman and she's perfect for you. I don't see why you should tied her down quickly. And now I'm hearing stories about a mere worker who was causing a rift between you and your fiancee. Get your business in order and get back on track or I'll have to do things my own way." He threatened as I scoffed,

"I'll never pretend to love someone I can't stand. You are the one that is forcing me into a marriage I do not want. You are the one trying to pull all the strings here. You are the one that's desperate for this to happen you are willing to lose sight of the fact that I'm your son and my happiness should matter to you." 

"You are being ridiculous. What do you know about love that you think you can do this? Acting like a child?" He said waving his arms aside as I got furious and stood up.

"Leave my office immediately. Before I call security on you." I said as he looked at me and laughed.

"You wouldn't do that if I were you. One of us is going to win this fight and it's going to be me..just wait and see how soon enough I'll have you walking down that aisle getting married to Leah." He said as I rolled my eyes enraged at his priorities but there was nothing I could do.

I learned a long time to stop depending on my father because he was the one who was sure to disappoint me every single time.

"We will see how long that will last. Now leave. I won't say it again." I said as my father glared at me before storming out of the place more angrier than he had been when he walked in.
