Chapter 48: I Choose You

Zeth looked longingly at the empty table just right outside his office. He had already prepared himself for Adriel's departure, and yet he still feels his throat tightening up whenever he realizes that Adriel really isn't working at Gray Entertainment anymore.

"Do you miss her?" Jo jokingly asked.

"Yes," he sighed.

Jo was taken aback by his straightforward answer. She was only asking a rhetorical question—she wasn't expecting him to actually answer her question.

"What? I thought you hated her guts?"

Zeth frowned. "How did you come to that conclusion?"

Jo looked at him in disbelief. "Duh? You made the poor girl work so much! And Cedric also told me about the blunder that happened in your office when we found out about K brand stealing our new collection."
