A vampire

I didn’t understand what was happening to me. The last time I checked I was a whole human being, not a damn vampire as Charmaine said. I refused to believe her until she slit her wrist to test if I’d have any desire for blood and it turned out that it was the truth.

“Charmaine, no one can know about this. Please promise me” I looked into her black eyes, holding her hands. She nodded in agreement.

“Ingrid, you didn’t know you were a vampire?” she asked, as if surprised; and the answer was yes. I didn’t know I was a vampire until she told me.

Never in my life had I imagined that I’d be immortal.

“Charmaine, what do I do now?” everything would probably change in my life right now. I mean this was a huge discovery. It was a good thing Pharrell got a call before he could remove the shawl from my face. Otherwise, I’d have been a dead meat.
