The attack

Ingrid tugged Paula in bed, singing a lullaby for her. Her melodious voice could be heard by Pharell who was on his way to his room. His heart was not at ease. It was in turmoil like the scavenger.

Who was this woman? Why did his grandma choose her specifically? All these questions clouded his mind. He couldn't pinpoint what was happening whenever she's close to him.

Reaching his room he kicked off his boots and stripped. He went for a quick shower, wrapped his lower body with a black towel. After settling for dark blue sweatpants, he went outside on the balcony to get some fresh air. At least the smell had dissipated…the night was still young and dark too.

But it seemed the dark clouds coated the sky, indicating the rain, and immediately it began falling. The thunder roared and the lightning spark flashed. Even with the heavy downpour, Pharell didn't budge. He sat there until he decided to go inside, but stopped halfway when the balcony at the far end of the floor opened.
